Parking was straightforward, and the very friendly greeter and host is always a pleasure. Love the utensils and cups. Makes us feel super fancy whenever we come here to eat. Having a quick lunch with one of my favorite people. Ordered two lemonades and food from the kitchen/wok menu. I apologize for not having pictures this time. Come here anytime we are in the area, and we will take some next time before chowing down on the delicious food. Each time I have come here for lunch or an early dinner the service is excellent, flavorful food and clean restrooms and restaurant. I honestly love the host, it's been challenging for a few years locating authentic food but from those willing not to judge based on how I look.

Food is really great and customer service was great. The pregnant lady who served us was really nice and make sure we did have a great meal.

The food was good, I enjoy the whole experience in places like this! Since I discovered Korean grills I have enjoyed trying new restaurants! They provide a lot of sides that definitely fill you up! This restaurant even serves a soup which was really good, and egg soufflé, along with all the standard sides! This place is not huge and they have large tables which can be divided so a couple of parties share the table, which works out and it's nice! The only thing I've noticed with these restaurants is that the servers have a hard time with knowing about their drinks menus, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. We received our wine well into our dinner which kind of sucks. However, because the food is good, I will definitely keep visiting these places!

A Korean restaurant to try out if you're around Tukwila. We had their chicken katsu ($15), Tteobokki seafood ($18), and seafood tofu soup ($17). The chicken katsu was okay. The chicken tasted as if it was frozen cooked chicken because the meat was firm. The Tteobokki seafood tasted good, however, portioning was good. There wasn't much seafood and much fish cakes. The amount of seafood in the seafood tofu soup was a problem too. I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant. It's nicely organized and clean. There's a decent amount of seating. The service was good. Server was friendly and helpful. The food took a bit of time to make though. Overall, an okay Korean restaurant.

Prime Zabuton, marinated Wagyu Rib Finger, Spicy Prime Boneless Short Rib

The marinated Wagyu rib finger and spicy prime boneless short rib, was mostly just tough chewy gristle, with not much meat, and didn't have any flavor-both very disappointing. The only meat I enjoyed when eating the kbbq was the Prime Zabuton. The Bibimbap/tofu skillet had great presentation, but the rice was not crispy at all. The soybean soup had a weird, unappetizing taste to it. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, clean, and modern I appreciated the waitress refilling the banchan if she noticed any of them running low

The food was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was great and the vibe is really nice. I'm surprised I didn't know about them earlier. I ordered their lunch special, an extra plate of pork and an egg soufflé. Everything was tasty so we will definitely come back to try their other entrees.

When you walk in here, you're asked whether you want to do KBBQ or just dine in. For this visit, my friend and I dined in, and were seated very quickly. The inside feels like everything is golden - literally. The lights, the small fences separating some tables and even some of the utensils. You get a menu to order from and servers take your order. Service here was pretty good, and servers were pretty attentive on making sure I had enough water. My friend and I both got the beef skillet bibimbap, which includes veggies, mushrooms, cucumbers, bean sprouts, beef and a fried egg all in a skillet as advertised. Food quality here was just okay; the addition of mushrooms was actually kinda odd to me. The meat didn't have too much flavor in it, but portions were quite big. It was pretty noisy inside even though tables weren't filled with people, so you may to yell a little bit to talk to friends. Food is decent here but service is great. This is actually my second time being here, and I could come again for another quick bibimbap!

Setup for bbq with ban chan and salad

Iwent with a party of four to Sumi on a Sunday around lunch. We discovered they had lunch specials. Either 3 beef or pork options or a combo of beef and pork along with some veggies for grilling, soup, salad, and ban chan. Two of us got a 2 beef 1 pork option and the other got 2 pork 1 beef option. We went with non marinated options due to one of us having dietary restrictions. We enjoyed the ban chan while waiting for food. Service was a tad slow but they were all nice and kept checking on us. The amount of meat was more than enough. We barely finished what we had. My only thing is the pork belly had to be cut up a bit more. We do like it but we want the fat to render down a bit and that's not easy when it's a large slab. Overall it was a great experience and affordable. We hope to go back again

Wagyu beef - kinda chewy for Wagyu

So....I'm a little mixed on this. Mainly, the meat quality was fine. Not great for the price, but decent and the portion was good. We were in time for happy hour so we got drinks and some sides for cheaper which helped, but the banchan is no good. The place is clean and modern. On the small side, for KBBQ, but we didn't have to wait at 5:30pm on a Friday. Soybean soup and the egg soufflé were just ok. It didn't leave a lasting impression and I wouldn't necessarily go down there to take my friends. So, for the no-return factor, I chose 3 over 4 stars. Really a 3.5.

Great ambience and really well arranged; beautiful inside. We did a la carte and it was a combination of pork and beef. I love that it was presented in a way that was aesthetic with herbs and butter. The beef was fresh and the pork was not oily. We will be back, sizes come in small and large

Kimchi Takoyaki Tofu Soup Beef Skillet Bibimbap
    Aline B.

First time at Sumi and it was amazing. The restaurant was very clean and the aesthetic was minimal and welcoming. From when I walked in to when I walked out the service was top of the line and I felt very catered to. In lacking a Korean background the staff patiently walked me through the menu and gave great recommendations. Now to the food! I was by myself so I didn't do the Grill and opt to order entrees. It still was a lot of food for me by myself. For appetizer I got the Kimichi Takoyaki , main the Beef skillet bibimbap and the Tofu soup. There's a complimentary vanilla ice cream dessert at the end. For appetizer I got Kimchi Takoyaki. It was very delicious and Im sure it has some calamari in it. The crust was crispy but once you broke through it melted in your mouth. Close your eyes when you eat it. It told story. The Beef Skillet Bibimbap was well assembled and all the flavors played together well. Make sure to add the sides. The kimchi might be the best Kimchi I've had in the state of Washington. My favorite and newest Korean dish was the Tofu soup. I usually stay clear from ToFu but this soup was something else. It had beef, tofu. Zucchini and so many other wonderful things. It was hot and truly touched the soul with a slight little spice to it. It's a comfort I'd love on a cold rainy day. I just had the leftovers today and it was just as delicious. Thank you for having me Sumi.

We were seated quite promptly upon arrival. The servers were friendly and the food had a nice variety of different options. Most of our party did the Lunch Special Grill and one got the Fried Tofu Skillet Bibimbap. Everyone was pleased with the choices and the server was quite on top of offering the ban-chan options when emptied. The oddest part of the establishment were the restrooms. They smelled like urine and there were no paper towels to dry your hands with only rolls of toilet paper stuck on top of the dispenser. It was odd but not a killer to the meal.

This was my first time trying JEN Korean BBQ with my family, and I was excited since I'd heard they have several locations across the U.S. We came for dinner, which is about $35 per person for the all-you-can-eat menu, while weekday lunch is around $25 per person, making it a great value if you're looking for AYCE Korean BBQ. They have a great selection of meats, plus plenty of appetizers. The corn cheese was definitely one of my favorites and is always a must-order for me. Being from Missouri I knew that the prices would be a bit more than what I was used to but it really wasn't that significant. The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. What else to you want in a restaurant? Highly recommend. Just try not to go on the busy days.

The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

I came to the Miyabi restaurant after a long time. The interior of the store was more tidy and the…read moredecorations were better than before. Since it was an early dinner, I immediately sat down. The store staff responded pleasantly. And we ordered Gozilla roll, Super Salmon roll, and Miyabi roll. The sushi toppings were fresh and delicious. I'm looking forward to it again next time.

We've been wanting to try this spot for a while every time we drive by, it's packed, which usually…read moresays a lot. Finally made it in, and overall, it was a mixed experience. Started off strong with the uni shot, which was really good, and the sashimi fresh, clean, and exactly what you want from a sushi spot. We also ordered the mushroom and pumpkin salad with spinach, which tasted great, but at $20, it felt a bit overpriced for what it was. The rolls, unfortunately, didn't live up to how they looked. Service was solid overall staff was attentive despite how busy it was but they did miss our hamachi kama, which was a bit of a letdown. A couple things to note: this place is cash only, and it gets very busy, so expect a bit of a wait. That said, the vibe is nice, and the design of the space is something I actually liked. Would I come back? Probably for sashimi and appetizers but I might skip the rolls next time.
