Bibimbap with bulgogi all mixed up
    Cynthia T.

Cute little place in downtown Kent. We ordered the bulgogi bibimbap, kalbi and 5 piece spicy wings. Delicious! You could feed 2-3 people with the bibimbap - very generous portion and so good! Loved the variety of sauces on the table and the banchan was super fresh. This place is run by a cute couple who swiftly take your order and get everything prepared and to your table quickly. Awesome place for Korean comfort food!

OMG! Great Food!! 01/07/26 Wednesday lunchtime. Great fast service with cucumber salad, Kimchi, seaweed salad, & corn potato salad served before lunch. The dining room is rustic, comfortable with lighting. I'm sure this place gets packed on weekends. I will definitely be back. You won't go hungry that's for sure. Excellent! Thank you Iron Pot!

I got the Kalbi plate ($19) and it came with rice and a delicious side salad. Side dishes are amazing, the radish was my favorite. Service was great and the restaurant was small but cozy.

Came here today for lunch. The ambiance was very nice and calming. The service was great! It's run by I think a husband and wife and they are so cute. She kept checking on our meal throughout. I had the pork bulgogi and it came with salad and banchan. The pork was so tender and flavorful. There was a ton of rice, cooked very well. The salad was a perfect amount with a dressing that was creamy and tangy. The banchan was all great. I especially loved the kimchi, cucumbers, and daikon! I will definitely be back!

This restaurant is a MUST. The food was absolutely delicious!! The beef bulgolgi has such an amazing flavor & the chicken katsu is perfectly crispy with that amazing katsu sauce. All the sides compliment the meals really well! The pickled radish was AMAZING!! I highly recommend people stop by and try this. The service was absolutely amazing!! They are such sweet people constantly checking in and making sure everything is well! Food came out really fast too. The vibes in restaurant is super cute, a little small but very homey and comfortable!! They have cookies they sell which look amazing!

We ordered Bulgolgi Bimbimbap and a bulgolgi plate.

The food tasted great, wish they had more items but otherwise, my time went well! Thankfully we were able to get a table right away and their service was nice and fast. Nice atmosphere, though the restaurant was smaller than I thought but I'm not complaining.

The server and cook here were both ultra nice to me. The restaurant is a wee too dark for my liking. When I try a new food I like to see what I'm eating. I ordered the bibimbop and it came with a bunch of stuff in little platters. Sadly, I didn't care for almost all of it aside from the beef itself. Wanted to try something new and it didn't work out. That's probably my pallet, and nothing to do with the food itself it just tasted like a lot of really weird flavors put together. The dish itself is very popular though, so I suppose it just wasn't for me unfortunately. I also got a side of spring rolls which were mushy and not my thing either. Oh well.

It was so good. For the price this was a lot of food and every single dish was delicious. My first time eating here and I ordered to go. Service was fast and the to go food was prepped very well. It's a cute little spot in downtown Kent. I would go back again to explore more of their menu.

Shrimp tempura and the ban Chan all with intense flavors

Ordered Shrimp Tempura, spicy jalapeño wings, poke, grilled mix bulgogi and yakisoba Service was fast (less than 10 mins from sitting to all food arriving) and friendly and with smiles, quiet conversations, open kitchen style. Open friendly seating some very good music old school playing Every item we ordered was very tasty and felt like it was made with love. Ever come to a place and immediately say, why have o not been here before? That's this place!!

The food came out extremely fast. I personally find the service to be a bit slow, you kinda have to flag them down to do anything. That's fine. It's a mom and pop shop and they're doing their best. I wouldn't say this is the best Korean food ever but it's definitely pretty standard. I do have to say, one thing that they are spectacular in is their portion size for the small dishes. It is the most generous I've seen in a long time. And the refills are just as generous. I was so happy to be able to take some home. Kalbi plate - came sizzling in an iron pot. Bibimbap - great portion size Spicy jalapeno wings - very juicy and tender. Definitely spicy.

We tried again a week or so later as my work is close by and we wanted something quick and affordable as we had a comedy show to go to afterwards. As we entered, we were the only ones and we were greeted warmly by the sushi chef and our waitress. Our waitress told us to pick any table we'd like and she brought us menus. Once we had ample time to glance over the menu which honestly had the right amount of items, I got the udon and shrimp tempura while my boyfriend got their Philadelphia roll and chicken katsu. Our waitress asked if we were fine with water and I didn't see a drink section on the menu but they do offer fountain drinks, canned drinks and hot tea. The inside is small but it's cozy and initmate. They have K-pop playing in the background with the music video. There is a good mix of natural lighting from the sun and inside. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained. We received our roll and shrimp tempura first, udon next and finally the chicken katsu. The katsu sauce here is one of the best katsu sauce we've ever had as it had a perfect balance of tangy, sweet and savory flavors. There was a lot of katsu and my boyfriend said the only complaint was he wished there was a bit more rice as the ratio was off. I loved my udon, they give a generous portion of fish cakes, fish balls and a piece of shrimp tempura as well as plenty of tempura flakes. I do wish there was a bit more noodles but that was my only real complaint. The shrimp tempura was good but I do wish there was a bit more sauce. My boyfriend's roll was delicious and fresh! Their hot green tea was also comforting and delightful! The service here is pleasant as our waitress was kind and checked in on us often. She was also courteous and professional with other customers. We look forward to coming back whenever we're hungry for good and affordable sushi and Korean food.

At that point, we have been dining in for 45 minutes, finished our soups and just ended up wanting to cancel that order (even though we were looking forward to it). Speaking of pork belly they were too chewy we cooked it for long enough and it was still very chewy. Service was trash. The lady that was our server poured all the meat on our fryer so half of the meat was stacked on top of each other so it took longer to cooked. We're already on a 90 minute time crunch. If my step dad wasn't pestering the lady for a next round they wouldn't have checked on us and we would've been waiting for 30 minutes. While we were waiting for the second round the lady told us to turn off our heater when we're not using it, the man later came and turned it back on and told us to keep it at level 400-500. The next time we got the food she tried to put all the meat on the fryer again my step dad said "It's okay we got it, thank you" she looked at us like we didn't know what we were doing. The food itself was enjoyable and we appreciated having a place where we could gather and cook together for a special occasion. The meats were flavorful and we still made the best of our time there. Unfortunately, the service experience was disappointing. Throughout our meal, staff did not check in on our table to see how things were going. Our grill and grill parchment paper were not changed, and our banchan dishes were not refilled. No one explained whether banchan refills were available since we did not choose the AYCE option. We also noticed that sesame oil, which is typically offered at most Korean restaurants, was not provided and seemed to be kept behind the counter instead of being offered to our table. One thing that stood out to us was that we were the only Asian customers dining at the time. We observed staff spending a significant amount of time checking in on other tables multiple times, while our table did not receive the same level of attention. The difference in attentiveness felt noticeable, and honestly, it felt intentional. At the end of our visit, no one thanked us or said goodbye, which made the experience feel impersonal, especially since we were there celebrating a birthday. We came in excited to celebrate together as a family. While the food was good, the lack of attentiveness and communication impacted our overall experience. We hope the service can improve so that all guests feel equally welcomed and cared for..

Both times I've been here, it's always been very busy, but I've never had to wait for a table because they have a ton of seating. The food here is probably some of the best Korean food I've had in the greater Seattle area. I can think of maybe one other place that I would put on the same level as here. While I would argue that this is on the pricier end, I think the food quality really makes up for it. The kimchi made in-house is fantastic, and I've actually purchased some outside of the meal to take home to snack on later. I like the kimchi pancake and my go-to bibimbap is fresh and filling. Overall, Seoul Tofu House is a great spot, I wish they had another location somewhere up north. But for now, whenever I'm in the area this is my spot.

Super crispy and crunchy but not a ton of meat a more breading. It felt small for a half a chicken or even a whole chicken. Not sure what size chicken they use for "whole" chicken. Yangnyum was good but the chicken was not coated too well. Top ones barely had any sauce and bottom ones were drenched in sauce. I wish they would toss it in sauce a little more evenly. I do also wish they would include the 1 side radish with each order as for Korean fried chicken place, radishes come with chicken as a standard item. Like ketchup for fries. The online ordering was easy and effortless and was done a few minutes earlier than promised which was great. The employee was nice and I was able to pick up my order right away. Back then, customers were treated with care, attention to detail mattered, and the restaurant was clean and well-kept. My visit in 2025 was a great experience. Unfortunately, as of February 2026, that standard is no longer being met. This restaurant is small, so cleanliness should be manageable, yet it did not smell good and did not look clean. The bright lighting that once enhanced the experience now did the opposite, making the dirt on the baseboards, walls, and chairs very noticeable. Standing there waiting for service, I couldn't help but think: if the front looks like this, what does the kitchen look like? I'm writing this review as an update on how Chicko's is doing since the grand opening. If you look at my previous review, you'll see how excited and satisfied I was during my first visit. There are new hours, which isn't an issue. However, the kitchen closes at 9:30 PM. I arrived before 9:30, but there were no employees at the front. I stood there for several minutes with extremely loud music playing and couldn't even call out for help. After waiting, I started taking photos for this review. A few minutes later, at 9:32, an employee came out and told me I could not order because the kitchen had closed at 9:30. This same employee has been here recently and appears to be newer. She is often wearing headphones or looking at her phone. While that's common these days, it doesn't come across as professional or attentive to customers. For context, I'm a regular customer. I eat here and also pick up orders for DoorDash as a side hustle. I come in multiple times a week and have done so consistently since the shop opened. Despite that, I'm treated like a stranger--interactions feel robotic and not genuine. That's disappointing, especially since the business once felt like the owners truly cared. It's also unfortunate that the young man who worked here around October is no longer employed. He treated customers very well, whether they were ordering food or picking up deliveries, and he was consistently kind and professional. If you're only coming for the food, it's still good, and this may still be your spot. But if you're looking to become a regular, expect consistency, and feel confident the restaurant is clean every time, I can't confidently recommend it anymore. At least, it's no longer the spot for me. Because of this, I'll be looking for a new chicken restaurant in Federal Way. I don't support family-owned businesses that lose their focus on cleanliness, service, and care while only chasing profit.
