First, the wait was completely worth it. If you get there early, you can probably avoid the line, but even if you can't, don't let that discourage you. Good food is worth a few extra minutes of patience. As someone who pays attention to the details, I always take a quick look inside food trucks and kitchens when I can. I was genuinely impressed by how clean, organized, and professional everything looked. It's clear they take pride in what they do. Now, let's talk about the food. The fries were fresh and clearly made in-house--not the typical pre-packaged fries you find everywhere else. The steak portions were generous (they definitely don't believe in counting pieces), and the combination of flavors and sauces came together perfectly. Every bite was better than the last. By the time I finished, I was already planning my next visit. There are still several items on the menu I want to try, and if they're anything like what I had, my diet may be in serious trouble. Testo had their food cart there so we decided to split a truffle white pie. You wanna talk about a perfect ending to a perfect day?!?! Easily top 3 pizza of my life. And one of the other 2 is also a white truffle pie at a place in Montreal. So. (Also side note: I'm originally from the south - as in "iT's hErITaGE nOT hAtE" and I've never unironically called a pizza a "pie" in my life. But here we are. It finally happened. Even though I'm a simple chocolate gal, my family loves all the "fixins" and specialty flavors they offer. The hot chocolate is excellent. Here's how it works if you don't know. Sign up for their text messages and provide them with the pertinent information about your delivery location. Scream will send you a text message with a 1-hour time frame during which they will be in the area. Once you confirm you want delivery, they will send a link to the current menu. Scream states, "Pre-orders must be placed at least 15 minutes before your route's start time." Place your order, and they will confirm via email that the order was received. They give you a choice: either have it left for you on your porch or patio, or greet the truck. This may clear up any confusion among some of the negative reviewers. My grand-nephew, who is two years old, loves to greet them!! The truck usually has some good upbeat music playing, too. My only gripe is that they seem to schedule deliveries in our area before and around dinnertime. But I understand Scream has so many areas to cover. We recently attended a birthday party where the party hosts rented out the Scream Truck (which I had NEVERRR heard of before the party) for the latter part of their party. I would guess that the truck was present at the party and parked outside of the hosts' house for at least 1-2 hours so the guests DEFINITELY got their money's worth. Let me just say that they absolutely DID NOT skimp on the soft serve ice cream at all and we were verrrry surprised at not only the variety of options, but just the sheer amount of ice cream swirls being given to guests - whether it was in one of their signature sundaes, signature cones, shakes or if you built your own cone. In terms of the variety, I think we would have been jussst fine if they offered a few options for us to select from, but it seemed like their ENTIRE menu was available for our pickings. And to top it off, the sundaes and cones were MASSSSIVE and beyonddd generous. There were toddlers that were under 5 years old holding cones larger than their heads!! I kid you not. Besides the seemingly endless ice cream concoctions and mounds of ice cream on each order, the employees making the orders took their time and made sure that each order was just right, so even though it did take awhile to fulfill each person's request, it was well worth the wait because of how well constructed the orders were. With all of the above praise said, if I were to nitpick, it would have been that they only offered vanilla, chocolate or a mixed swirl. However, I do understand that those are the 2 most common soft serve flavors and even establishments like Wendy's didn't offer any other Frosty flavors until their recent explosion in variety. Overall, as a guest of a party who rented out this truck, I was 1000% satisfied with our ice cream and the generosity of the portions. I don't know what the rental fee is for this truck (I'm sure it costs a pretty penny), but if you want to reallllly "WOW" your guests, this IS without a shadow of a doubt the truck to rent (especially in the summer).

Even though I am a Louis Prima fan (sorry for the obscure reference) the bone to meat ratio just doesn't make up for the higher fat content. At least for me. This guys ribs changed that. You don't eat these ribs so much as you hold them up and allow the meat to dive into your mouth like an Olympian off the 10 meter platform. They are that good. And I have eaten enough brisket in my life that writing a review including a reference to pork is probably something I shouldn't do publicly, but his is top notch. Lastly, I come on this site and often see reviews regarding the personal nature of the proprietor of the business, which are sometimes so vicious and misplaced, it is not a mystery why the writers of South Park want to feed some of the members of this site what they want to feed them. To that end, if you have a problem with either Dan or his staff, I would have to say that the problem is most likely with you. They couldn't be nicer, more courteous and helpful. I know that sounds like a lot for serving somebody BBQ but those fairgrounds on a weekend can be a certified nuthouse. At no time did I see anyone lose their patience or desire to help the customers. They had the classic potato and cheese pierogies and also pot cheese, I was told I could do a mix of both so of course that's what I opted for! The apples were cold and since it was a cold day I wished they were warm, but it's more of a preference on my part than a complaint. I thought that it was a cute touch that you get a little sweet treat with your meal. The truck has a very comforting nostalgic feel and the woman and man working in the truck were very sweet and helpful. I wonder if they are the owners because they really seemed proud of the truck and food they were serving. I've also had the pork belly, ribs, and tri tip which are also good, but the brisket is the best - hands down! The pork belly and ribs are delicious and smoky. The tri tip is super flavorful, but half of my tri tip pieces were hard to chew and the other pieces were super tender so I'd say it's the luck of the draw depending on which cut of it you get. I also love their mac + cheese and beans + brisket as sides. Since Big Pink's is a food truck, there's limited seating (only 1 picnic table) but we live so close by that we've just taken it to go and eaten it at home! The employees are super nice.
