Tried this place out since I like coffee. The run-of-the-mill coffee was weak. The shop is a bit awkward, getting in line blocks the people finishing their order from moving to collect their coffee. I'll give it another shot, just in case it's an "off" day for their brew. The service was good though. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The lady taking our order was so rude to us, I understand if you're having a bad day but don't bring that energy to work with you bc then you piss people off. I wish I got her name, I would put her on blast if I could. Whoop! All the goodness of the coffee and moon milk you love, but presented in a beautiful package, just as it should be. This new location is gorgeous. Charming old building. Interior is bright, shiny, and clean - but not sterile, rather warm and welcoming. Nice seating inside, cute high tops outside, and even a little picnic table for the kiddos. Another option is to take your treat across the street to sit and enjoy in the park (in front of the library). Staff is super friendly. Clean bathroom (actually located inside the coffee shop :) and, get excited, parking! Was thrilled to see branded jars so now I have an appropriate (and adorable) vessel in which to store my moon milk. read more

Omgoodness, I could have sworn I already reviewed this place. Well, no worries there.. A few weeks ago I had to go to San Marcos for one of our new accounts..Holy smokes. I had this place bookmarked for a reason.. turns out, I had no idea the excitement, joy, and "buzziness" it would have me walking out the door with! This is an absolute MUST TRY. 1. The place is sweet, quaint, cozy, warm, welcoming, relaxing. 2. The girls who served me both days were absolutely wonderful. Cheery, bright eyed, full of smiles, caring, helpful... they could not have been any better! 3. The moon milk is to die for. Really. You have to get it. At least just once... try it alone, then try it in your coffee.. you will be blown away! 4. The coffee... is indescribable. Honestly. So rich. So bold. So freaking delicious. I've never had coffee quite this spectacular. I tried it black, first.. to truly taste it.. then added that delicious moon milk. WOW. 5. Prices... amazing for the quality. I was expecting a much higher price. 6. Danishes/pastries that nobody needs, but so delicious, you dont care how bad it is FOR you.. :) Summermoon.. you definitely have a special place in my heart and I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I was given to make that stop so delightfully simple! So happy this is in town! It's super cute and those drinks are super yummy! I also loved their cookies...good call purchasing those! There were a few other folks enjoying the quiet atmosphere to work and chill while they had their drink. I had an iced mocha moon and my husband had the moon glacier. They were both phenomenal. I'm not a huge fan of coffee BUT this is the best Latte I've had ever. They have their own "Moon milk" which is amazing. It's quite small but it's quaint and it has seating outside if you'd like. Staff were cheerful and pleasant. They also have food choices like snack things to order. You can also order online and just come pick it up. I'd go back for sure. read more

Great coffee! Bummer is, every one wants to mimic Starbucks. Well, do yourself a favor, differentiate yourself from them and lower your damn prices! Seriously...I would frequent you more often but you're more expensive than starbucks. And why...? Don't you want to take their customers away from them? Don't you want to be so busy that you have to expand or open a second location and take even more business from them...? Also, the employees have zero sense of urgency. I'm not there because I want to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee. There has to be an understanding that when people order something to go, there needs to be a sense of urgency that goes with that order. Yes, other orders in front need to be taken care of, but with the same sense of urgency. Because someone else is waiting too. The nonchalant attitude that comes with 'Austin' and being weird can certainly play a role in all of this. Just don't act so stoned that you're moving so slowly that I can tell. Free wifi...yay! Who cares! People have unlimited data now! Give those of us that don't have a starbucks budget an opportunity to enjoy a real cup of coffee every once in a while. Not when it's a surprise meet up and there's no choice but to get something. Great atmosphere and it's always very clean. I just wish the bathrooms accommodated more than one person. read more

What a cute coffee shop. It's got that Pinterest charm when you walk in. The prices are great and the coffee is good. I am just a regular coffee person so I can't comment on anything fancy, but my friend had a latte and liked it a lot. They serve a small menu of breakfast foods and I got a miga breakfast burrito. This place is amazing. You can smell the aroma of roasting coffee even before you walk in the door. Sometimes the smell and the taste don't quite match up. The place is cozy and seems to be full of regulars, happily working away on laptops and chatting. The staff is really nice and on top of their game. The coffee was good. Good coffee. Moon milk is magically. The service leaves a lot to be desired- I don't blame it on the staff but on the management for not properly training them. They are all friendly and can make all the drinks well, but they are kids who need to be trained up on the customer experience. There's also the issue of their ownership's being VERY anti choice. If that's your belief- cool. I just have a hard time putting my money there. But if that's your cup of coffee, you won't be disappointed. read more

I love this small town, the people in it, and this cozy coffee shop. I came with my son this morning for some much needed caffeine. I learned this morning that they do not have fresh brewed dark roast, they only sell the beans. I decided on a medium roast drip coffee and was not disappointed. The barista at the counter was very polite in telling me what was available, which was much appreciated. I also entered my phone number in the 5star keypad, and ended up getting my coffee for free. A nice lady was in front of us in line, talking to my son and I. She helped me roll my son's sleeve up, which was the sweetest because she saw my other hand was full. Upon receiving my coffee at the bar, another sweet lady helped me put the lid of my coffee cup - "I'm a mom, too, I'm happy to help." I have had the BEST experience here this morning. I've had a couple of good experiences at Summermoon a couple times prior, but this morning takes the cake. Driving away with a good cup of Joe to get me going, and a smile on my face. I came to this place yesterday as highly recommended by a friend who lives in the area. And I would rely on her recommendations because this place- cute ambiance, health-conscious friendly and the best part is their chai is really good. As a non coffee drinker, I appreciate good chai with almond milk. I got their iced spiced chai and then today, I just had to come again and this time I got their hot chai. Both are equally mouthwatering delicious. I had their taco breakfast yesterday. I wanted spinach one, but the were out so I got the potato one with egg and cheese. Y-U-M! Whenever I am visiting family and friends in south Austin area, I always try to make a trip here before I leave. First, Buda is getting more restaurants and stores adding to its cute downtown. This place is the perfect coffee shop for the area. It is worth checking out the downtown. Second, it is a cute and well-designed space with friendly staff, plenty of sitting space, and most importantly excellent coffee drinks. The Summermoon is their hot latte-like (but much richer) drink and unique from any other coffee shop drink I have had. The Wintermoon is the delicious iced version of it for summertime. I love both and recommend sipping slowly due to richness. It lasts me driving from there to Waco (on my way to Dallas). If buying coffee beans, I love the Velvet Blaze wood-fire roasted beans. So good! Just get it, okay? Can't wait until my next trip! Almost out my last trip! read more
