The place is so cute, and very quiet. Not a lot of business but the food is good. My mother and I got the combo #3 which for a soup and sandwich. I got a Cesar sandwich with tomato basil soup and I felt as it needs more basil but it was good. My mother got the creamy potato soup with turkey bistro sandwich. My mother said that the potato soup had a lot of cheese, but it was still good. There is only one waitress and she's very nice and attentive. Tacos were average and service was very slow. I've watched several people who arrived after us get their meals. What a shame and it was a simple order of tacos and a biscuit sandwich. It was busy but still not sure why big orders that arrived after us came out first. When I spoke with the main lady she just made excuses and didn't care about our wait or offer any type of apology. We were staying at the Mariott Houston NASA and this place is very close (like same parking lot). They were very friendly and quick and the food was good. We had a hard time finding good food in this area and most times the places I found on Yelp! had absurd wait times. Very grateful for finding this place via Yelp! This was my first time coming here and I left before eating. This review is not about the food itself but about the prices. See pictures attached for proof. So the menu items online versus in the cafe are VERY different. The prices are almost double what they used to be for breakfast. The Bon Appetit and Original used to be 8.99 and 6.99 respectively. The Bon Appetit is now 12$ And the original is 7.99. You no longer get the waffle as a choice on the original either. I asked for it instead of toast on the original and was told my new total would be 11$. I get that price increases are the new norm but this just felt excessive for a waffle. Please note that the waitress was initially helpful but as soon as I mentioned the price difference she immediately shut down and seemed prepared for me to become difficult. I apologized and left instead because the price difference wasn't her fault. I think the price difference is an issue more people than me have brought up (judging from the waitresses response) and maybe should be addressed by management by updating the online menu prices. It kinda feels scummy to trick people with one set of prices online and then have a different set of prices in the cafe. Just saying how I feel. I will not be returning. The food is good and delicious, especially the croissants we had today. There are lighter options like the Mediterranean omelet which looked great, but I ordered the Trio Breakfast with ham and pancakes and eggs. Totally the right portion, and the pricing was great. Apparently caters to an older crowd who don't or can't notice that the decor and chipped furniture seems left over from the Chinese restaurant that was previously here years ago. As a result, what is meant to be a light, brunchy kind of place is unnecessarily dark and dreary inside. Only one window by the front door, lack of lighting and air-conditioning throughout, and Asian-themed ceiling tiles. When you walk in there is a glass case full of tempting baked goods, but we were told by the cashier that none of it was for sale! Then why display them? Breakfast food is the level of a free continental breakfast at a Holiday Inn: filling but nothing special. Croissants claimed to be baked fresh daily but tasted at least a day old to me. Sausage was extra-greasy, omelet was not seasoned, and hash browns were a dense ice cream scoop-shaped lump that was overcooked and nearly burnt on top. Mildewy smell in back near the drink service. On the plus side, staff (mainly one cashier and a cook) was very friendly and ready to explain the menu. read more

Came here on a Sunday morning. It's a seat yourself or order at the counter. We sat for a good 5 mins before anyone came to take our order or give menus. My sister had already been here and knew what she wanted, I picked quickly. I ordered a croissant at recommendation of my sister and a side of hash browns. My sister ordered hash browns and eggs. Our order wasn't big or complicated but it took at least 35 mins to get our food. The croissant was really good, and so were the hash browns. I wish there was a little more portion given though as it looked very small. We didn't want to wait for the check so we went to the counter to pay. We decided to order an almond croissant to go and waited another 10-15 mins. The girl behind the counter didn't seem to have put the order in, as another lady inquired why we were waiting. She went back quickly and got our croissant. I wish I would have looked at the croissant before leaving because when we got home, it was the ugliest croissant I've ever seen. Smooshed like a pancake, barely any almonds, not at all like the picture. Very disappointed. It was a little to heavy in the cream as well. The restaurant does seem short staffed as they have a "now hiring" sign, so if you do go, keep that in mind that you might wait awhile. Upon entering was greeted by friendly wait staff. I ordered a croissant with scrambled eggs and a cup of coffee. The croissant was so flaky and buttery, the best croissant Ive ever had. It is a nice spot for breakfast or lunch, cozy and comfortable. My daughter ordered the french toast with fruit on top and it was superb. We went in for some breakfast before heading over to the Space Museum. Pass by this one. Waitstaff couldn't be bothered. The choices were limited and we were 1 of four tables two waitstaff were serving and they couldn't refill our coffee. Passing through town, I accidentally found this place within minutes of asking a local for a place to eat who didn't know. Too funny! I can't say enough about this café with a beautifully decorated patio and outdoor seating. I came during Lockdown 2020. Masks are required. They have sanitizer at the door. I was very cheerfully greeted by the young lady there, and had great conversations throughout the visit. Inside the French style restaurant with a fireplace are some baked goods and a soda fountain (not for public use yet). Their water tastes good and it was recommended to sit in the comfortable booth. I ordered the Bon Appetit plate with no meat. There was so much food! I was surprised they gave me 4 farm fresh eggs instead and they were perfectly cooked. The waffle was fluffy and came with a dollop is real whipped butter and syrup. It was delicious. My FAVORITE was the hash brown! It's not like the one in a can or McDonalds. It is a fusion of potatoes and scallions and baked with a crusty top, reminiscent of mac and cheese. Before the lady left, she asked if I needed ketchup (House recipe brand) and hot sauce which I was craving last night. Cholula, come to me. A great little restaurant with a counter order service. Their baked goods are fresh and delicious, hard to choose just one. The almond croissant was crisp on the outside with a rich almond filling. I ordered the cappuccino and the Bon Appetit breakfast. This consisted of a waffle (my choice between that a croissant or pancake), bacon (my choice between that or sausage), eggs (any style) and the Bon Appetit hash browns. First time here and we chose this over our usual favorite spot; The Egg and I. I'm so glad we did because the food we had was fresh, hot and delicious and I loved that they offered healthy options. I was able to substitute my omelet for an egg white omelet for .99$. Heck yes. This place is quaint - not fancy but was clean and they had a glass display case full of sweet and savory croissants and I had to face away because I was about to buy one of each. They looked THAT good. We ordered at the counter, paid and then about 10 minutes later our food was out and it looked amazing. My husband ordered the french toast with fresh fruit and he said it was some of the best he's had. It was topped with fresh mandarins, blueberries and strawberries and the syrup was already at the table. I, of course, had the egg white omelet with fresh diced tomatoes, onions and spinach. (It came with a buttery croissant but I gave it to my husband). It was delicious - especially after I added some Tabasco for heat. The side of bacon we shared was crispy and greasy - like bacon is supposed to be. All in all, we'd definitely eat here again. This place has some good breakfast, point blank! The waffles were fluffy and buttery to taste, something I missed tasting. When I moved back to Texas it was either Eggo waffles or HEB brand frozen waffles..I definitely wasn't always having a big breakfast presented to me. Home made, made from scratch is the best. Anywho, it was such a surprise when I asked the lady taking my order did they have any turkey to pair with my bread and she tells me yes, of course. Yes, of course?! That's something I like to hear since all I've read was pork sausages and pork patties on the menu. They should really specify that. A cute side of fruit for presentation goes a long way..hint hint, I've been watching too many food network shows obviously. The only thing I didn't like was the patrons in the restaurant was staring at me like a deer in the headlights deal..that was pretty weird. The lady taking my order had a slight attitude because I wasn't sure what I wanted to order and the guy who bought my food out..was strange too. The service is as slow as molasses, but the prices are reasonable. The decor of the place isn't so special, but I came for the food not the decor of the place..oh, and speaking of the interior of the place. There isn't no old carpet smell that I afraid of smelling.. Oh my... this place was not good. I ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns and bacon. Everything came out one at a time, with the hash browns taking the longest. The biscuits were okay, but the sausage gravy was odd. The sausage was in little squares. I've never seen sausage in that form before. There were green things in the gravy, too. I didn't really notice until I took a picture and then I couldn't take my eyes off of them. I'm not sure what they were, but they most certainly did not add flavor to the dish. The hash browns are put into a mold and cooked... a lot. I believe there is cheese in them, but they were so dark and dry it was hard to tell. Finally, the bacon. It tasted very weird and it took me a while to place it. The bacon tasted exactly like pork rinds. This particular item was the kicker. It was bad. I like pork rinds, but I never buy them. I wanted bacon. It looked like bacon, but it didn't taste like bacon. It tasted like pork rinds. That's just not right. read more

OMG! This is one awesome gem! Very European style. The staff was awesome and food was exquisite. My Americano coffee was the best I have had since moving to Texas. The food was very very good. I had scrambled eggs soft which are cooked to order. 2 large sausage patties and their hash browns looks a scone. It was big, tasty and crunchy. My wife couldn't help herself and had to taste mine. My wife ordered an omelette with sausage, bacon and ham. WOW! It was loaded!! She liked her decaf coffee. The restaurant is inviting, open and well lit. I will definitely remember this place for quiet meeting or a gathering. We have friends coming to visit from New England and we simply MUST bring them here. We were told that they have been open for 16 months. They are across the street the Space Center and across the street from a CVS and behind a Wendy. Do not be fooled by the outside of the building come in and be pleasantly surprised. read more

Very similar to the French cafe chain resturant down the street, but feels family run. I have to say everything taste just a little better too. Keep in mind I have only tried breakfast - so far at least. They also have bread and butter to eat like the other place, but once again the bread seems just a little better (fresher maybe). Only negative I could have, would be they were out of all jelly and jam except orange. Croissant big and good enough to eat on its own; I didn't even add butter and for me that is saying a lot (everything's better with butter). Pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The worst breakfast I have had from a restaurant. I had to throw out most of it. The hashbrowns were hard on top.
