I requested a quote for a water heater. I was told that they would come out the next day which I thought was very timely service. I was told that due to the late request that they could not tell me what time the technician would arrive I was available from 9:30 until 6:30 PM with my phone with me at all times to enable me to receive notification of the technician arriving. I got an email introducing the technician saying they would arrive at some point in time today. Finally at 5:30. I decided this person is not going to show. I called at 5:30 no answer I left a message. At 6 pm I called back and got the answering service. The young man that answered the phone was very helpful and told me that the technician had signed off on my visitation. I don't know where he went but it sure wasn't with me. The answering service asked if I was certain I didn't get a phone call or a text message and I said no. I triple checked, nothing there. I received an acknowledgment from another company But not Summer's air. So maybe you'll have better luck. The answering service offered to reschedule but I don't want to waste another 13 hours of my life waiting for someone that doesn't show up. Good luck. I can't say anything about the work they do. Very disappointed at the service. I had agreed to a maintenance plan of $11.99 per month and scheduled my routine HVAC inspection which is included. I really liked the technician Danny Burt. He found some things about the AC I only assume is correct because we have lived here 6 years and never had to fix anything on the AC so it seemed like it was ligit. The price was of course high but I'm sure any commercial service is going to run the same. Again I really like the technician, the low rating is no reflection on him or his work. The following week, I had an emergency plumbing situation. I cared summers 3 times and each time after holding about 2 minutes was given a voicemail to get a call back. So we called a different plumber and got the service done (Shout out ro Mr.Quick). I called to cancel the membership because this is the second time in my course of dealing with Summers that they have been unavailable for a service. ( I had their maintenance service a couple years back and a plumber refused to take his equipment down into the basement and do the work so I had to college a of a climber again in that situition. But I just decided to give summer's another chance because their monthly service was a little cheaper than the competitor. Of course when I called they said oh you have to have the money agreement for 6 months. They apologized and said they were busy but offered nothing. At very least they could have said we will give you a coupon or discount on the next service (I know i will still need service on the blower, but hey they didn't offer anything) so I got the date I can call and cancell with out them charging me and will drop them and not give them a third chance! read more

I paid Brandon Roach and his company $30,000 to replace my sewer line. They failed at this for multiple reasons. 1: They did not fully replace the clay pipes like we agreed. They cut corners and left about 8 feet of broken pipe. 2: They did not angle the pipes correctly, causing sewage to come back up our drain. 3: They did not properly connect the new PVC pipes to the existing pipes. Do not hire Brandon or his team unless you would like to fix something twice. Professional, but HIGHLY overpriced. They WILL overcharge you and not think anything of it. We had a Service Comfort Agreement, with "discounted pricing," but when we asked for them to replace our sink supply lines and stops (1 hour labor), they charged... $540! After the fact, we were able to research and verify the costs of the parts were about $35. And there was the $60 service fee, so we knew it would be at least $100 + labor costs. But... $540??? When I called the service manager to inquire, there was no empathy, just "the cost of doing business." Well, I cancelled my SCA with them and am going with a competitor, someone who earns my trust with reasonable pricing that doesn't take advantage of customers. read more

Annual hvac service to keep a parts and labor warranty in force. Once again they have decided to reschedule. Do to various reasons. They do not call to let you know this is happening. I had to call them to find this out. This is almost 4 years of this happening. They are happy to install units and to do things that are profitable ,but after the sale you will get extremely poor communication out of there scheduling department. They do have good quality technician. But there office communication is the worst I have ever experienced. I would not recommend this company to anyone. A co worker of mine called this company out to fix an issue of her drains backing up. They convinced her since her pipes were old and cast iron they needed replaced throughout the whole house. They replaced everything. Every 2 weeks she has to have them come out for the same issue she called them initially for. They are telling her now she will have to hire an excavating company to come out and replace a 4 foot section of pipe that goes from the city line to her piping. I have 1 question, they charged her $11000 for the work they done to fix the problem she was having. The problem isn't fixed. Why would they tell her she would need to fork out even more money to hire an excavating company to fix the actual real problem that's been causing the issue all along? She literally paid them $11000 to fix the plumbing problem. They didn't fix the problem but they took her money and she's left with the same problem causing her so much unnecessary stress. I hope this company does the right thing & actually fixes her problem with out charging her anything more. Not to mention they left her front yard a complete mess, they dug it all up & left it with big mounds of dirt in spots, she has a basement & they left the dirt around the house lower or with big holes so water puddles in them going into her basement. read more

I called Summers for a water pressure issue. I called the Southport number on a Friday afternoon and they were able to book me for the following Monday afternoon. I told them I needed an afternoon appointment because of work. The scheduler said it would be put in the notes. I received a confirmation call that afternoon with a call time of 2-4pm and I said I needed a 30 min head up. Come Monday, they called me at noon, 1p and finally at 1:45p trying to see if I was available for the technician to come out. I kept telling them that my call time was 2-4p and I can't leave work yet. When I finally arrived at home to meet the technician shortly after 2p, he was about 10 minutes behind me. He was super friendly, put on a face mask and shoe covers and we discussed my problem. He asked each time before entering a room, opening a door, or laying anything down. Unfortunately for me, my issue turned out to be a $5 fix and I had to pay their $89 service fee. I will say that my parents have used Summers (Noblesville center) for SEVERAL different projects and issues throughout the years and they have always been satisfied with their work. They usually end up doing a little extra/going beyond and not charging for it. Would I recommend them...probably. Would my parents recommend them...definitely! read more

I would not recommend anyone to do business with Summers plumbing heating and cooling. Bad ,furnace and service. My mother bought a furnace from them less than a year ago and having trouble with it. I called them and told them it is 19 degrees out side and I don't want her to freeze gave my number they told they would have the tech to call me back over 2 hours later I called back and told them I needed them there. He finally called me back and said it was after hours and it would be 8 or 10 in the morning before they would be there. Why have an emergency number. In my opinion they are a joke. We live in Meridian Kessler neighborhood in a mission style house that is over 100 years old. It did not have air conditioning when we purchased the house, but Summers Plumbing selected a system and assured us it would cool. The cost was almost $30,000. We are now several years in and the system does cool the house. It does cool the hallways where the units are placed, but that is it. In addition, although we pay for a maintenance contract, Summer Plumbing continues to fail to deliver reasonable services in the following ways: 1.) The water drainage tubes for the cooling system hangs from an outlet on the second floor. It was never connected to a drain. As a result, the water drips onto the house and the foundation. Although we raised this issue numerous times, nothing has been done to complete installation of the system. Damage to the house continues to occur from the dripping water when the air conditioning system runs. 2.) Water leaks from one unit onto the wall and under the unit directly on the 100 year old custom, hardwood floors. The leaking water and damage to the floors continue. (We put buckets to capture the leaking water.) The technician was not able to fix the leaking when called. He offered to schedule another visit to re-mount the leaking unit as a possible solution, but refused to fix the leak during the visit. Summers Plumbing consistently charges a fee to view the problem and consistently suggests a follow up visit to do the work for, of course, another fee. 3.) Technicians that visit to service the units are not experienced and routinely suggest that a manager is needed for consultation. Again, this results in a requested fee for the initial visit and another fee for the manager to come on site in subsequent visits. 4.) Fees charged are excessive & Staff not allotted time or tools to perform repairs. Our experience is that a homeowner pays for a technician to perform a diagnostic call, but then we typically hire another plumbing company to perform the repairs. Our annual maintenance contract is almost at its end. We do not plan to renew. In addition, we wrote this review so that other homeowners can choose not use Summers Plumbing. Instead, select a company that has pride in their work and delivers what they set out to do. read more

I have used them for the past year for both the heating and plumbing. The heating and maintenance package is the way to go as you pay monthly and get a heating and ac inspection/cleaning. They had detected a worn out capacitor and replaced it. The maintenance package will save you on repairs for both heating and cooling. They have always been on time and well luckily I haven't had any emergencies to call them out on. They are currently refilling the ac unit with more Freon and doing a leak test to see where the Freon is leaking out from. As for the plumbing they had done basically a whole days worth of work at my house as I needed a whole new shower fixture, three sinks and three faucets installed. Two of the plumbers worked on the big shower fixture project and got that done and then the one stayed to work on the rest of the projects. Is it expensive yes but you probably will want a licensed plumber / heating - AC company working on your major projects. read more

Each one of the techs that have come out to the house have been so nice and polite and will actually take the time to show you the issues that they may find. They don't push you into anything extra they leave it up to you to make decisions but they are more than happy to explain the problem, the need and the problems that may develop. I have a maintenance agreement which includes discounts and priority attention, even with these benefits I would be hard pressed to use them again. Interesting company. My father who is 85 years old was having issues with his water softener. I told him to call an expert and have them come out and see what may be wrong with it. Most likely a clogged line. Unit has not been using salt. Repairman came out, walked pass water softener and went to the bathroom sink. Took a water sample and said water was softened. Said if he wanted would replace unit for $1,599. Charged him $89 and left. The last time that I placed a bag of salt in this softener was last summer. You would think for $89 a repairman would have at least verified that the unit was working or would have looked at it. read more

Thy did arrive on time, tried in vain to sell me a new unit, said that one of the of the parts that was rusty cost nearly $1500 and called it something other thank what it actually was. I had 2 additional companies out Actually hiring the 3rd Affordable Heating and Cooling. These people are amazing!! Extremely affordable and fast! Making it able to get us a complete new system for $6700. Plus removing all the old equipment, leaving no mess. It doesn't get much better than that. read more

We bought a furnace almost 1yr ago. Just after Thanksgiving our furnace stopped. It would run then stop for 3-4hrs. We called they came out first time guy told us we need a new filter, then later at 3am it stopped again same problem charged $59. We call again same problem, another guy plus 1 come told us that whole in foundation "house 103 yrs old"; then he also asked if someone came downstairs and turned off furnace $59. My mother is 86 she's a cold natured person so NO. I can turn off thermostat 4-5 times then it may start having to keep temp @ 90. So again 3rd time it cuts off at 12:00am called 24hr service I stayed up waiting for someone to come finally fell asleep @ 530am they called @ 7am I'm sleep didn't hear phone. I called again asking for supervisor told them not paying another $59. I'm pissed off now. Will be calling BBB Monday morning. Waiting for another person he keeps asking how is it 79 degrees in house if furnace isnt working HEATERS. 86yr old woman in cold house during am hours I'M PISSED THE HELL OFF WILL BE CALLING ALL STATIONS AND CONTACTING LAWYER. I decided to purchase a new A/C and furnace we have been milking the furnace for the last few years. Got a great deal and they are coming out tomorrow to set it up. We had these guys come out for a tune up for our Furnace back in the fall of 2020. Everything seemed fine. Their quotes for replacing literally everything in the house was a bit outrageous but of course a company is going to say to do that. That's not our gripe. I called their office about 20 minutes after they left when I noticed a filter on the outside of the unit. They said they called the tech and that it was the old one and a new one was installed. When they came out in the spring of 2021 the tech said that there was no filter. So the entire winter we went without a filter. DANGEROUS! The tech gave me the number for his boss. I left several messages and what do you know. He never called back. Fast forward to today, we had our vents cleaned (by a separate company bc we will NEVER use summers again because they are TRASH) and there was STILL NO FILTER. Horrible service, horrible management. Update: July 16, 2021: I expect that this will be the final update. After communications from Office Manager Taylor and Installation Manager Bary and the Amana Customer Service Dept., I have received the information needed to understand my rights and responsibilities pertaining to the condenser, furnace, and coils we purchased from Summers. Mr. Bary responds quickly. Ms. Taylor is candid in her communications and was understanding of my need for information about this major investment. It was a long process, but it has concluded well. Update: July 7, 2021 - After a rough start to our discussions, the interaction and experience with Summers improved. Installation Manager Bary and Office Manager Taylor have been instrumental in addressing questions, agreeing to a resolution of the issues that was financially fair, and providing documentation on the warranties, purchase, and service agreement that the Summers salesperson did not provide. I still have requests pending for explanation of the guarantees that are listed on the sales agreement and for the terms of the extended service agreement, but hope to receive those this soon. Understanding of respective rights and responsibilities of customer and service provider are essential for satisfactory future interactions and to ensure that my family does not have any additional surprises. Update: June 25, 2021 - I am working with Summers to resolve the issues. After a very rough start of the discussions, I am hoping that we will get the issues resolved and achieve a fair and complete resolution that will leave my family financially whole (after the issue described above and another regarding the SEER rating of the unit that was installed vs. what was described during the sales process) and still be fair to the company. This has been going on for a week, but I will update this review and rating once I do (or do not) get the final requested document. Unfortunately, I must revise my previous review of Summers to a 1-star. I cannot currently recommend this company. A week ago, our AC went out due to the coils freezing. Summers responded quickly and sent a technician who said that the repair of the 10-year old unit was likely to leave us with a damaged unit as freezing of coils does damage. A sales person arrived and we agreed to purchase a new AC+furnace. A week later, the new system has frozen. A different Summers technician said that freezing of coils does not damage the unit - a direct contradiction of what we had been told a week prior. The new system had a bad part, and failure of that part he had never seen this before. This suggests that the system may be a lemon and we may be in for a bad experience. This is in addition to an issue of a different system being installed than expected. I have written to Summers and am waiting to hear back from the management as the reliability and credibility of the company are in severe question. read more

It has now been 7 years since the repairman has been to my house in 2013 and he informed me my furnace needed to be replaced. I had it repaired for $400 by another company and not put one penny in repairs since except for filters. The repairman for Summers said my furnace was 10 years old and was not worth repairing. My mother called them after her normal person had closed. They came out to do the spring maintenance. while they were there they informed her she would need a new AC unit $6000. Well my mother was trying to be nice since I work two jobs and not much free time. But she informed me of this on a Saturday. So Sunday I went down looked at the AC unit and furnace witch was only 2 years old. With at that time we only paid 3400 for the entire system. They did not sweep out the unit or clean the outside unit. Looks like they only changed the filter. She called them Monday and canceled this install. We have had another company come look at the unit and all was OK. They need to stop taking advantage of the elderly. We will never use them or any of there franchises again. read more

I had a second opinion come out and they were able to get the ac unit up and running that day. They were also half the cost for an AC unit. Didn't tell me that i could fix it with just one part instead recommended a pricey repair so that I'd buy a new unit. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Also when I called Customer service to tell them about this, their customer service manager Megan Taylor was awful. She would not help refund the fees and was completely rude. Only wanted to send an email response so she didn't have to call me. I asked to speak to her manager and got sent to a random voicemail box with no name. I didn't have a good experience with Summers recently. It was towards end of Feb when my eight year old furnace stop working the way it should. I ended up buying a new furnace from Summers which they charged me more than double the price I found on internet. This was an emergency and I had to take a quick decision being a weekend no heat and chilling cold (arctic blast) so I decided to buy this over priced furnace from them. On top of this the technicians who came to install didn't provide quality service. One of the technicians was in bad mood (upset over something) and was handling the installation very roughly. That rough handling even caused some dents in the sheet-metal. There shoes had mud/dirty and they didn't wear the shoe covers which made the wooden floor and basement stairs all stained. They were smoking in the driveway and left the cigarette butts on the driveway. No one from customer service even called after the installation to get a feedback about customer satisfaction and there was no survey sent to date. After this experience I am not going to go with them again or recommend to anyone. There are many other good providers available in the market whom I came to know later. read more

I had my complete heating and ac done. I had the city inspect my unit and the heater and the heat pump was working on a 30 smog and manufacture setting was at 25 and there no kicking caps for the copper coil. I called them over one week after the inspection and was told management would call me back. I went to Florida for a week and two weeks after the inspection no one had called. I left them two messages to call me. I then left a third and they did call but I missed the call. I called today and got the manager who said they received the violation last week. Mind you, I had left them two messages last week and they had not returned my call. The manager, Megan, was very nice and they are coming out on Friday morning to repair and I will have it inspected again. This is a total cost of almost $10,000 and it should have been installed correctly, I should have had my calls returned promptly and this should have not taken 3 1/2 weeks to correct. 6/19/2019 I would not give them even 1 star if I could I had summer heating and cooling /plumbers put in a new furnace and central air and change the bathtub, they were supposed to move return air duct ,they did not. they were supposed to clean ducts in the floor, they did not. even tho. I paid to have it done. keep reading it get worse. they said they would change the bathtub and shower liner. but we would need to take the window out because the new liner could not be cut around it ..so we took out the window before they started. they also said that because of the tub and liner was made that they would need to cut out the dry wall around and behind the tub and liner. and that all we would need to do afterwards was replace a narrow strip of dry wall around the edge of the tub and liner. when they were finish the tub is now 2" inches from the wall studs. there is no way to cover up that wide of a gap from the wall. the shower head is not mounted to the wall either .it now moves back and forth in the wall. I notice the fault was so tight against the wall it was all I could do to turn it on. so I went in the closet and looked at how it was put in. when they tore out the old fault they also tore out the 2x4 that it was mounted to. when they put the new fault in they put a 2x4 in side the closet moving where it was mounted out all most 4" inches making the new faults to short to reach correctly into the tub ..to make matters worse went I called to have them fix these problems ,they came out and looked at the mess and said to my face that it was all done correct.
