Worth the trek (pun intended)! I was in search of the Trek Emonda 7 SL and this shop was the only place that had it in stock in my size. Not wanting to wait a year due to the bike shortage, I called and spoke with Colin who put the bike on hold for me with a $1,000 deposit. The trip to Los Gatos from Los Angeles was a tad far (500+ miles) but we lined it up with another task so it worked out perfectly. The shop is located in a cute little village area so upon arrival, we parked on the street and walked to an adorable cafe to grab a bite before heading in. When we arrived at the shop, the door was closed and we briefly waited outside from someone to let us in due to Covid-19 safety protocols. Once inside, we were greeted and promptly assisted. I took the bike for a test ride, loved it and purchased it. The shop had a great selection of bicycles, bicycle equipment, clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. and everything was well organized. Customer service was wonderful. Colin and 2 young teenagers primarily assisted us. But everyone was so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to them esp the teens. I love seeing hardworking youths. Bottom line, this is a wonderful bike shop!

Great selection and awesome service. Ethan was very positive and provided great service. I tried a few different bikes out for around the town riding. I settled for what I've named Tanya the Townie. Ethan happy added a few accessories and gave it a good once over.

Great Great Great service! When researching bike shops for an upcoming bike build I came across Summit Bicycles Los Gatos. Right from the start upon calling the shop I spoke with Chris. He was very helpful (and patient) in answering my questions, educating me on the process, cost and timeframe for the build. As the build was going to be quite involved (as well as being in a pandemic) he anticipated potential roadblocks and delays in part orders which worked out beautifully. I must say, throughout the 2 months worth of planning, their customer service and guidance never wavered. They were just as helpful as day one. Finally the day came to put it all together. After a day and a half the bike was ready and I couldn't be happier! The shop also has a great selection of products. All employees were friendly and easy going. Pandemic and all, they recognized the county mandate for wearing masks. They promoted social distancing as well, prioritizing health and customer safety which was reassuring. Kudos to Chris and the team at Summit for not only surpassing my expectations but also for doing it with poise and professionalism. I will not be going anywhere else! Thanks!

Chris, Colin and the team helped get me into a new bike even during the SIP and COVID-19. The team was great on the phone and getting a bike ordered, including answering technical and logistics questions. Then when the bike came in, they have a relatively easy process (a little que) for a one on one with a specialist, including setting up, fitting the bike and walking through some key details. Check out and I was riding all weekend. Thanks! Happy to have awesome local shops like this in the community with the customer service and expertise too!

We have purchased Specialized bikes for 30 years, so we came in ready to buy and simply needed basic staff assistance to test the fit. When we arrived, the three employees on the floor were occupied with other customers. We waited patiently for them to finish. Once those customers departed, our family was the only one left in the entire store. We waited an additional 10 minutes, yet none of the three employees greeted us, made eye contact, or offered any assistance. It is impossible to accidentally overlook an entire family standing in an empty showroom. Making a dedicated trip to a **direct Specialized store** just to be treated as if we were invisible is beyond unacceptable. This isn't just poor floor service; it is a **complete failure by management** to enforce basic retail standards or foster a welcoming environment. **Train your employees.** There is absolutely no excuse for this level of sheer apathy. Because we could not get a single employee to speak to us, we walked out. **Do better, Specialized.** We will be taking our business to a bike shop that actually respects its customers.

Some cases are due to the combination of little issues such as slightly loose derailleur hanger, not tight enough qr, misplaced cassette spacer, slightly bent hanger and so on. With my limited knowledge, I thought my bike with some minor hassle is not fixable. I found Nathan's cycling service shop by accident and wanted to try out. He is such a calm and knowledgeable person. After he heard some issues I have had, he started overall fixes here and there. What a difference! Similar example I can use is that (although I have not tried myself) people benefit from good bike fit may feel this way. You thought you did the right things but only an expert can take you to the last mile. That's what I have experienced with Nathan's service. This is one of the places where I paid more than he asked because 1. I valued his expertise more than he valued himself and 2. He shared his knowledge which I may not be able to get from just watching YouTube clips. Try yourself and be pleased.

I typically would drive an hour to Monterey for a great bike mechanic that I trusted.... stoked to find Nathan's shop in Campbell. I've also had great service at ABS and Epicenter Cycling in Santa Cruz.
