We stopped in here to look for a part -- it wasn't in stock so the guy running the show had to put in an order for it. I believe there was a storefront at some point but they probably downsized or got pushed out from rising rent costs -- so, the operation is now ran out of a big garage in a business park. Lots of parts, accessories, and custom add-ons available on site, so check these guys out. Worth the drive out to Campbell if you're looking for specialty items to compliment your custom bike. read more

Came in this morning looking around at the shop. I spoke with the owner who stated that he custom builds bikes and a lot of the parts are from Germany. these bikes are definitely high-end for Cruisers and can cost as much as $2,500. the owner was very cordial and offered a lot of information, if you're looking for a cruiser bike I'd highly recommend coming here, I think I see one in my future. The only reason they get 2 stars is... 1. There aren't many Cruiser shops in town 2. They had some really neat things based on what I could see through the window. I was not very happy that when I went to their store the weekend before Christmas (December 16th) that there was a note on the door stating they were closed. As it is they already have pretty limited hours... But what bike shop closes the weekend before Christmas? We were looking for a cruiser for our son as a surprise on Christmas morning. This place had decent reviews and it seemed like we had found a great place to purchase a bike from, however, unfortunately, we were unable to do so because they were closed. If you are thinking of going here please call them and make sure they will be open. Recommendation to the owner: You should be open EVERY WEEKEND in December! read more

The location is a bit hidden, as it is nestled into a quaint row of boutique type of shops. The row is next to the open lot on Campbell Ave near the old Gas Lighter Theater. Only limited by the store size, Dominick can take part list orders over the phone or email and have everything anyone would need when they arrive. The service is knowledgeable and awesome. My family has made many bike purchases in the last 16 years in the Bay Area with kids who grow out of bikes every couple of years. This time we were on the hunt for bikes for my husband and I and decided to find some cool cruisers to fit our biking needs. From the first conversation through email with Dominick to the first time we came in the shop, he was great. We didn't want to go custom on our cruisers but what we found was Dominick was able to easily make the modifications to the bikes we wanted by giving us a custom feel to regular cruise. We changed up the handle bars, added a basket, etc. to give us the fun feel we were looking for. Dominick even added the 3 speed to the cruisers for us. Well, I guess Im the guy with the bad experience. I went to The Cruiser shop because of the Yelp score. But, for some reason, I was pretty much treated like my satisfaction didn't matter. Maybe it was because I didn't spend enough, or my request was too simple, not custom. I don't know, but I dropped $380 for a standard Skull x Bones cruiser from Huntington Beach Cruisers. Then I asked for blue rims, matching blue pedals and blue mini ape hanger handle bars. It should've been complete in two weeks. But it took twelve. And I was completely ignored for 5 emails and told I could "come pick my bike up and they'd let me know when the handle bars came in and I could put them on myself." Four times I came to the store and Dominick was never there, instead leaving behind a lackey that couldn't tell me anything about anything other than "Dominick is out right now and I'm not sure when he'll be back", each time. There was a complete lack of interest in getting my handlebars from the paint shop and providing a quality product to their customer. I was planning, from day one, to buy another cruiser in black for my sone, but we went elsewhere. The cruisers from this place look great. Very cool styles, but I will never go back and I'll never, ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

It doesn't get much better than this. Cool bikes, great location, and awesome customer service. Dom and his wife Joclyn are just great people. My wife and I recently bought two cruisers from their shop, and we are so happy that we did. Everywhere we go people want to know where we got them. These bikes are just plain fun! As a side note, my wife wanted to get some things changed on her bike to spruce it up even more, and Dom had no hesitation making it happen at no additional charge. You got to love great service. These guys are legit. I came in looking for a pair of ape hangers for my Electra Straight 8. I'm mechanically illiterate and ended up getting the wrong size, much to my dismay. My wife took them back two weeks later and the guys exchanged for the right size. No receipt. No questions asked. Good customer service is the cornerstone of a great business, and these guys are on the right track. They have some beautiful custom cruisers and a room full of accessories to boot. Great products awesome options and even really nice employees. Why the 2 stars then you ask? I ordered a bike last SEPTEMBER. The color I wanted was backordered - that's fine - but come November when it was supposed to be in I never heard from them. So I called only to be told I had to wait now til January because things were taking longer than expected. I would have preferred to have heard the information by them calling me but fine, I was going to wait because this place had the best prices I could find other than Target/Walmart options (and much better quality). January comes and goes. Early February I call again and someone else says that it's still backordered. It kinda sounded like he had no idea what I was talking about and wanted to play it off. Anyways, moral of the story: if you want a bike from this company make sure you just get something already in stock at the store. Because the second you leave the premises you are no longer a priority. Oh and I ended up just buying a Huffy at Target. 7 speeds $190 and a sweet cup holder. read more

OK, my bad. I can't believe I didn't get on Yelp earlier and give these guys the credit they deserve for the simply EPIC job Dom did on my cruiser last year! Oh well... Brought a new Electra cruiser into The Cruiser Shop with an idea in mind to do a full "retro-mod" custom job on the bike and even though my concept was definitely on the mild to conservative side of what Dom is capable of he took the time to research some appropriate new parts, a good powder coat and some other period based pieces to create a truly sweet ride that always gets compliments everywhere I ride. These guys are really at the top of the food chain in the custom and classic cruiser world, if you are anywhere in Northern California you owe it to yourself to pay them a visit. This cruiser shop is awesome. Probably the only cruiser bike shop around San Jose and Campbell area. I've been coming here for over a year and the owner Dom has been really helpful. I've built two bikes from this shop one Tango for me and a female Tango for the wifey. They provide all types of service from tuning up your bike, powder coat, wheel lacing and more. Word of extreme caution. They're customer service is extremely spotty, and I'm being generous. Helpful when you're alone in the shop, and selective on what and who is important. I tried 5 times to get an order through over a week and a half. Nothing. No follow ups or follow through for that matter. I headed to Hyland bikes and got the service I was looking for. Walked in today while at the Farmer Market. What a cute, hot little shop! Several low-rider type cruiser bikes in front of the shop caught my eye but inside the shop, there's tons more to catch your eye and attention. Take your run of the mill cruiser or every day bike and this place will make it uniquely yours. Love the various colored chains most of all but there are handle bar tapes in every color possible as well. Owner is very friendly and nice. Put a sign out on the sidewalk for better attention grabbing appeal because being in the back of the courtyard shops, you might miss the place. read more

Purchased two bikes from Dominick from a very popular brand in So Cal, but unavailable to purchase anywhere else in the Bay Area. He took care of wheel, 3 speed shifter and custom powder coating work on one of them which were all completed as quickly as possible. You can tell Dominic takes pride in his work as everything was done to perfection. I get compliments on the upgrades he did every time I take my bike out. Very fair prices, top notch work, friendly, non pushy to buy something customer service. So.. this is a delayed update because I was hoping to resolve the issue in person. When I picked up the frame I found out it hadn't actually been worked on. The measurements for the back hub mounts were the same as when I brought it in. I called and left messages but no reply. It's not convenient to stop by although I did (they were closed). So I just ate the $20. Sad. I think it's a good shop - just needs to work on their communication both in the shop & with customers read more

We were looking for a couple cruisers and a friend told us about this place. We were able to pick out everything we wanted on the bike and Dominick was able to add brakes and gears to the bikes we wanted. Cant wait to go for a cruise!
