Security. The facility has camera's everywhere. Each storage unit has an alarm and inputting your code at the front gate disables that alarm for your unit. The Alarm is enabled once your code is entered from the inside of the facility. There was one incident where a person was found living in one of the storage units. He gained access to the unit through the back of the storage (which is why the storage alarm wasn't tripped). However, he was caught because as police tried to get him, he tried gaining access to another storage unit to flee fortunately, that storage unit was full and he got trapped. One last comment, there is someone who lives on the facility. 2. The staff is very friendly. As a Service Member in the US Army, I am not new to the storage scene. Living in El Paso, Texas, I was required to have a storage upon receiving orders to deploy to Iraq back in 2009. The storage unit was subpar but I didn't care. I just wanted a cheap storage unit with a location close enough to walk. During my deployment I found out that that particular storage unit didn't receive a payment. Immediately, they starting auctioning my stuff. It's a good thing I had my brother as an emergency contact. This little story brings me to the Arm Guard Self Storage. After I explained to them why I was very particular about getting a storage due to my previous experience, they informed me that auctioning my stuff would be illegal. They were also very informative about informing me that the man who was living in the storage unit near mine tried gaining access to my unit. 3. Autopayment. I love autopayment because I don't have to worry about going to the storage to pay my monthly fee or sending in a check via snail mail. 4. Front gate is self explanatory. The front gate has a access code key pad on the left side that gets you in and diables the alarm. 5. Access hours. The hours to enter the facility are 5:00AM - 11:00PM. The hours ensure that the facility is completely locked down outside access hours. Its another extra security. 6. Lights. Each storage unit has lights. It's really awesome to see what your trying to get. Overall, I would definitely recommend this storage unit. I left for Afghanistan, came back and didn't have any issues.

I am very honest and fair and never just write a review that is 5 stars or 1 star because I am emotionally charged or anything. My hope is someone will see my review and have an honest view of what to expect. 2 days after my review of this facility the manager woman I have never seen before handed me an envelope with a smile on her face and said my lease is being terminated and I have till the first to get out. She said I had multiple violations accessing the property after closing where my gate code was used. I told her that was impossible because I am very vigilant about abiding by all the rules and I promised her there is nobody who can show a single piece of evidence backing that claim. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she was the manager; so I asked to speak to someone above her and she said that I was not allowed to speak to anyone above her but she would let them know I would like to speak to them, but not to get my hopes up because these decisions are almost never reversed. I said this feels very much like I'm being discriminated against and that I'm disabled and the unit is very important to me. I repeated that I never broke the rule and nobody ever mentioned me violating a rule to allow me to make sure I never did it again and she said I was seen in the parking lot past 10pm and that is considered a violation. Me making a phone call after leaving my storage before I drove to my next destination is the claim after she realized I never accessed the gate with my code after hours and that was a bogus claim. I cannot believe I am being kicked out because I didn't give them a 5 stars review. This is the most childish behavior and to smile in someone's face when you know you are making a decision that is going to make a persons life extremely difficult is so messed up. How someone can enjoy that moment is disturbing. I used to be a Forman working up on the light rail and even when I had to fire someone who definitely deserved it, I felt terrible delivering that news because I was causing unknown hardship for him. This woman looked like it's her favorite thing to do. Save your money and energy and go to a nicer place with a better staff. These people were the worst, and their units were horrible too. I suggest going to pearl street self storage if it's convenient for you. Thank people are very nice and the units are the best I've ever seen. I can't write enough to describe how horrible secure space is. Don't go through what I went through and go somewhere else

So for me to actually make a review that is negative.... It means that I've given this place not one chance but actually several! This is the worst place to get store YOUR Belongings! Do not do it. I had my storage for a few months, noticed mice droppings in the storage after a couple months. I reported it right away. They were apologetic and said they would get somebody on it. I went back three days later. Nothing happened and there's more droppings and now URINE! When I went to the front desk, there was a different woman at the desk I interrupted her on a personal call. She wouldn't even look at me. She wouldn't give me her manager's number or email. She said she can't get that information out. She said that they were going to have someone come and check it out but Company only comes out once a month for pest control. I explained , this is an emergency clearly there's rodents here that needs to be addressed . I was met with rolled eyes. I emailed the customer service department, they were actually very good! They Immediately escalated it to the managers so I was very hopeful. Unfortunately, my hope was short lived. I have been told they're doing everything to try to find out where the rodents are coming from. But in actuality, nothing has been done. It's been over a month . Nothing's been DONE! Now, several pieces of my nice wood furniture have been ruined and I have to go through my private HOME insurance. This is what secure space is banking on unless you purchased their own insurance..DO NOT WASTE ONE PENNY AT THIS PLACE!!!! I have given them too much time to fix this... I will be taking my stuff out of there! Just so you know, the ceilings are open with chicken wire. The rodents are getting in and jumping from storage to storage. I decided to contact company as they were open to my input, however, they were only able to give me a $20.00 dollar discount. So now I pay $334.75 that started in December. Gee that's still a $95.75 increase. Even the rental markets for apartments only go up 10%. I do not recommend this company as I still feel like they gouged me and took advantage. I was able to see less cost for similar storage than current pricing before I decided on Secure Space and I hope all company's don't do this. If I had known they would do this I would have chosen another, closer to me, storage unit. I feel like I'm locked in as getting stuff to storage was costly and to remove it will be also, so I guess I'm stuck. Customer service through company office is not consistent and what reflected at office is not always same as talking and securing on line. One has to follow up to guarantee pricing. I will compliment the office staff as they are sympathetic, helpful and personal and units appear secure. I'm not sure these 2 benefits are worth the $98.00 monthly increase. I do plan on getting my things removed ASAP but that's dependent on circumstances currently waiting upon. I can't wait to vacate and save $100. Per month. Lo and behold, when the gate to get out opened there was a huge ditch from the construction and no way to get out!! I called again and again and kept talking to someone at the Fife location and they said we don't see any movement in the Nalley Valley Office. I had to sit and wait for another car to come through gate and get out that way or i would have been stuck there who knows how long. No one bothered to call me and see if i was ok or to discuss it.
