I called Summit Vet, explained the situation, and asked if there was any way the dog could be seen that day.

The program even includes a bath!! They do themed enrichment programs every month, which is fun and rewarding for the pups! Our little pup Sugaree just completed the induction program, and she has already gained so much confidence and good behavior. I love that Dawna's training business (Happy Tails to You) is connected with Canine Corral so everything she's learning is carried through in her interactions with the team. The team is so caring and you can tell they truly love the dogs they're caring for.

Other places that we tried weren't successful in addressing our pup's anxiety and social issues. I'm so glad that we discovered Canine Corral. The staff there are well trained and they have good processes to keep things running smoothly. Our pup gets excited as we drive into the parking lot and she greets the staff with fast tail wags and licking! Those are positive behaviors that are so apparent and cannot be denied. We also utilized Happy Tails To You Dog Training with custom training. Dawna knows her stuff and the lessons that we had helped us with challenges that we were having at home. I highly recommend Canine Corral/Happy Tails To You Dog Training for anyone who needs doggie daycare or boarding.

I reached out to Hailey after a positive referral. During our initial visit, she was very professional and helpful, and the facility seemed well run. We ultimately chose a home-based daycare for our 6-month-old puppy and canceled well in advance. In October 2025, I paid a $855 deposit via Zelle to reserve boarding and requested a refund after canceling. After multiple follow-ups, I was told the refund would be processed. I was later informed that the refund had been sent to the wrong person and would be corrected, with a commitment that it would be completed by February 18, 2026. Unfortunately, I never received it, and there has been no resolution since. I've attempted to follow up via phone (calls are no longer being accepted), WhatsApp (messages are read but not responded to), and email, but have not received any response. At this point, I am still waiting on the refund and have had to pursue formal channels to resolve this. I hope this can be resolved promptly.

Somehow we found Hailey and called her and explained our situation and she accommodated us. Our child, Peter, is high energy dog . She told us to bring him in and she will evaluate. When I brought him in I was worried and had to tell her again that he is high energy to make sure everything would be ok. She met him and took him in and made sure I left feeling confident. She told me if he was uncomfortable she would take him home with her so he would be able to sleep. 100% would recommend Hailey. Outstanding to see how she handles all types of dogs and their behaviors to accommodate them and make them and their parents feel safe.

1-Star Review - Extremely Disappointed - Would Not Recommend…read moreI boarded my two dogs at Heritage Kennel in Santa Cruz for four days and was very disappointed with the care they received. One of my dogs, Winnie, arrived with a paw wound. She was wearing a cone and sock, and I provided all the necessary supplies: gauze, bandages, and ointment, along with clear instructions for treatment. None of the supplies were used. When I picked her up, her paw was noticeably worse than when I dropped her off. Additionally, when I collected their bedding to take home and wash, there were dead bugs on the bottom. I also specifically requested anxiety medication for the dogs for the car ride home. I'm not sure if it was ever given -- the dogs were extremely anxious and distressed during the drive. If the medication had been administered as requested, they should have been calm and sleepy for the trip. For the price paid (including what appeared to be charges related to Winnie's paw treatment that was never provided), I expected basic care and follow-through on instructions. This felt like a complete failure of the "VIP treatment" I was hoping for. If dogs could talk, I'd love to hear exactly what happened (or didn't happen) while they were there. I will not be bringing my dogs back to Heritage Kennel.

During a very emotionally stressful time and the service we had to be at, we were very worried about Riley. We're very thankful to Tian and how easy it was to work with her; she was very accommodating with the time for us as we were unsure of our schedule each day. Riley was here for daycare and it's her first time at any. Everything was very clear and straight forward with vaccinations needed (records), as expected. Riley is already 13 years old, so that also worried us how she'd adjust to something so different. Tian suggested we bring her blanket from home and though Riley seemed uncomfortable the first day - Tian gave us constant updates and we saw her slowly relax. She definitely loved being able to sniff around the yard, seemed interested watching the dogs exercise as well! The yard and everything was very clean, I wish she was a little younger as she doesn't really care to play much nowadays... just cuddles and naps. I'm already a mama bear when it comes to my dogs, but I felt at complete ease with Riley being here (our boy went with my parents as they're used to only him). She's not the easiest dog and I'm sure she felt the stress we felt as well... I cannot imagine how uneasy she had been and suddenly being in a new environment... I cannot thank Tian enough for giving Riley the attention and extra love that she definitely needed. Final Thoughts: 10/10 will recommend Tian to anyone that needs daycare or boarding for their furbabies. She's kind, caring, stern, compassionate, super communicative... I cannot be more thankful and impressed with her care of our Riley and the other dogs there.

A few days into boarding, I received a text saying that my dog Woodson had been barking a lot in his crate. I gave her some suggestions of what I normally do if he is barking to get him to stop assuming he's been properly exercised, which is cover his crate and give it a gentle tap to interrupt the barking at which point he normally settles. She responded that she used the e collar on him "to see if it would make him stop". This was done without my permission and it was communicated after she had already done so despite me making it clear that we are force free. This was a complete violation of my trust and what was the most upsetting was that despite making it clear that we don't use e-collars (I didn't even provide one for her, and she doesn't even know what level of stimulation to use), she did so without my consent. I appreciate that she operates out of a residential neighborhood and noise complaints are an issue, but there are so many other things to try that don't involve punishment that would help dogs to settle if they're being anxious in a new environment. We're pretty upset to know that someone was hurting our dog in his crate - what should have been a safe space away from home. Response - I'm not going to address all the incorrect details you've included because let's be real, it's my word against yours, but I will say I would have much rather you respected our training choices than dressed my dogs up in Halloween costumes.

I have never met a trainer who cares so much about your dog and your concerns.
