After seeking a second opinion, the diagnosis was determined not to be malignant. Second, I experienced billing issues. I uploaded all requested information through the patient portal after reviewing the website, which indicated that my insurance company was accepted but did not clearly disclose which specific plans were covered. The office confirmed that my insurance was accepted, collected my copay, and provided treatment. I later received an unexpected bill. When I contacted Advanced Derm Billing they quoted the claim had been denied. However, after verifying the claim with my insurance,I learned Advanced Dermatology had been paid long before they wanted another large payment! I don't recommend this company based on my bad experience with Scottsdale location and the billing department.

I found this place through my insurance, and when I called to schedule my appointment it was very easy. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful on the phone and in-person when I came for my appointment. During my consultation, I was encouraged to try Jeuveau instead because it was on sale. I explained that I had previously tried Jeuveau for nearly a year at another med spa and did not love the longevity or the results, but I was still encouraged to move forward with it. I contacted the spa because I was already noticing movement returning in my face in the first 4-6 weeks and was disappointed with the results, especially after spending nearly $500. I returned because I was still unhappy with the results and wanted to achieve the outcome I originally came in for. At that visit, I was charged another $450+ to finally receive Dysport. There was no real accommodation offered other than being told it was "new client pricing." At this point, I have spent close to $900 in less than four months trying to get the results I was expecting from my initial visit. What is most frustrating is that I specifically communicated my concerns about Jeuveau upfront based on my previous experience, yet I still feel like my concerns were not taken seriously and absolutely ripped off. I also received a follow-up call from a manager after expressing my disappointment. Unfortunately, the conversation left me feeling dismissed. I was told that results vary from person to person and that there would be no reimbursement or resolution. The conversation also focused on the fact that I did not come in at the two-week follow-up, but there was no issue at two weeks -- the movement and concerns developed afterward. I understand that results can vary with injectables, but I expected better communication, customer service, and accountability when a treatment was recommended despite my expressed concerns. After spending nearly $900 and feeling like my concerns were more focused on generating another charge rather than ensuring I was satisfied with my results, I will not be returning.
