I'd suggest stay away from their hibachi/fried rice dishes with their hard-to-chew rice and Sysco-frozen vegetables that always gentrify the F out of ethnic dishes. The beef that comes with steak hibachi was too tough, ended up in the trash. Wings, tho, are okay, especially the wet LP. Dry LP was too salty - must've been extra loving from the kitchen. One big, full star for the sweetest staff behind the counter. She was the savior for this adventure, but think I'll pass on this place from now on. read more

Been here many times and ordered my food "for here" to eat at the establishment. The portions are enough to share between me and my boyfriend. We brought a friend in and let him know we were going to eat it here, then take the rest of what we couldn't finish to go since we had plans. The guy took it into his decision to give us our food to go and at a MUCH SMALLER portion size than they would for a "for here" order. Wow this place is great! I came here on a weekday lunch right when they opened. The staff that took my order was so friendly and helpful. I ordered the sumo special which included 5 wings and I substituted the fried rice for the lo mein noodles. It came out to be around $12. They make everything fresh and get pretty busy for lunch (for good reason!) this place is a great deal. The portions were huge. I had leftovers. I got the lemon pepper wings dry and they were pretty good sized wings. The flavor was good and not too salty. When I heard steak hibachi for under $13, I said SIGN ME UP! Honestly, the food was okay. I've had better and I've had worse, but the portion size was insane. First let me say that I have ordered food from here several times. The food is always fresh, yummy and ready on time. Today, I ordered some food to pick up from here. My coworker picked it up for me on her way back to the office. I was dividing up the tab (with my other coworker who ordered with me) when I saw there was a $1.99 gratuity. The food was being picked up, so why would there be a gratuity? I thought maybe they are trying to account for the lack of business due to COVID-19 or maybe their to go orders now have an additional fee, which is fine but the least they could do is inform their customers that they are adding a gratuity/fee. Food was good but irritated that they didn't say anything about the additional charge. It wasn't a lot but it's more the principal of the matter. Just got a message from JDK. Just so it is known, I asked my coworker if she entered a tip. She said no. I don't know if your staff is entering a tip or if your system is automatically adding it but maybe it's something you need to look into. I don't want the money back. Sumo used to be my go-to place for a good, cheap, filling meal. I'd always get the sumo special with boneless wings and chicken fried rice or the chicken hibachi. The sumo special is such a good deal, and their boneless wings are so juicy and doused in flavor. Chicken hibachi is also a great option. Don't forget to pair your meal with the yum yum sauce- I swear it completes every bite. I've been recently though and it looks like prices have gone up and portion sizes are a bit smaller, which is why I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars. The food is grilled to perfection and you are guaranteed to love the hibachi menu. The wings here are great also and the flavor of the food will make you go WOW!!! No need to add soy or duck sauce due to the grilled flavors in the food. The staff here is great and this place is very busy at times due to the good food they are putting out; it's expected can't rush quality. However, your wait time is good... The little wait time is worth the good food outcome (LOL!). Whenever, I'm in the Atlanta area visiting I will always make sure to visit this place for some good food. Ima start off by saying you definitely get your money's worth here. The people in the back know what they are doing ! Everything is so flavorful and fresh. They have adult menu and also kid menu, which is nice. I hate paying adult prices for my child, because she loves to waste food. I settled for the chicken teriyaki, and it was so dry it wasn't edible without dunking it in some spicy mayo-type sauce. The teriyaki flavor was so-so, the veggies okay, and the rice was kind of hard. My daughter also didn't even touch but a bite of her meal, and complained about the rice. My boyfriend was bummed as well about his steak teriyaki, and didn't finish his meal either. I mean, they give you a LOT of food, but it's like the quality sucked. I'd rather have that versus quantity. I am so puzzled why people come here. I didn't try their wings, and kind of wish I had, because I was planning on ordering some for our Super Bowl party, but honestly after that meal, I don't have the desire to come back. How is the chicken overcooked and dry, and the veggies and rice undercooked and hard? The chicken also tasted like it was the bottom of the barrel chicken, like mass production, low quality, shoved with a bunch of hormones, worst part of the body chicken.
