The fish is extremely fresh, there isn't a ton of extra white rice and they have plenty of variety that allows for both my husband and I to order rolls to "try" or share. Although, let's be honest -- we just order 3 rolls each and try one piece. The service is very quick and all the servers are nice. BLUF: Food and service is good, but environment is uncomfortable Went with a group of 8 for dinner on a weekday night. When we arrived at 6pm it was immediately obvious how hot the restaurant was. Very warm. As warm as outside. There was a hint of an AC kicking in somewhere, but for the entire 90 minutes we were there it stayed hot. On top of that, if you've been you know they do a big "flame" show in front of you while prepping the food, and that made it even hotter. The food was good and the service was friendly, but I sweated through my shirt and was using my napkin more to wipe sweat from my face than to wipe food from my mouth. read more

My significant other, his family, and I came here because they highly recommended it as one of their favorite places to eat. It was my first time visiting, as well as my significant other's. When we arrived, the host was polite and we were seated with our party of about 8 people. However, things started off awkwardly when my significant other's mom wanted to sit on the opposite side of the table to spread out more comfortably. She was told she could not sit there and had to stay in the seat closest to us. At first, I assumed it was because another group was joining us since there were 3 extra chairs left open, but that wasn't the case. The restaurant was empty aside from one other table that had arrived before us, so the situation felt unnecessary and frustrating. Unfortunately, the food experience was disappointing as well. As soon as the chef placed the shrimp, lobster, and chicken on the grill at the same time, I had a feeling the seafood would end up overcooked -- and it did. The lobster and scallops had noticeable burn marks, the shrimp was overcooked, and the steaks were not cooked correctly either. Two people ordered medium steak, but both were cooked at the same time, and one was left on the grill longer than the other, causing inconsistency. Another issue I had was that the chef automatically drenched the seafood in teriyaki sauce without asking first. Personally, I don't enjoy teriyaki sauce, and I think he should have asked us if we wanted sauce on our seafood before pouring it on. When the chef asked how everything tasted, my significant other was honest and said the food was okay but overcooked and burnt in some areas. Our bill ended up being around $400, and because we were unhappy with both the food and service, my boyfriend left a 10% tip and even explained respectfully why he felt the experience did not justify more. To end on a positive note, the baked sushi roll I ordered was actually delicious. However, the drinks were subpar and overall the food did not meet expectations. I didn't get her name .. they were close to closing, but I can tell it is a cute & comfortable hibachi spot. They have the hibachi grill where you can sit around and they cook the food in front of you. I forgot to take pictures of the food.While I do think the food was good I do believe as far as the hibachi there should've been more scallops than what I receive for the price. First time eating here and it was awesome. The inside was pretty spacious, and they followed good covid protocols. Our hibachi chef was so funny and energetic. He made sure we all had an enjoyable experience and cooked up some great food. I ordered the Scallops and Filet Mignon for my entree and it was cooked perfectly. I wish the filet mignon was richer in flavor but the man is on a mission to feed multiple people very quickly so I can't fault him. My scallops tasted good. MVP was the yum yum sauce. The service and setting was great; however, the food was a bit overcooked and undercooked. My partner and I got the tempura, filet mignon/shrimp/scallop hibachi combo, and the filet mignon/lobster hibachi combo. The tempura was undercooked slightly where the batter was a bit mushy and seemed like it wasn't fried enough and the sweet potato was a bit hard; nonetheless, it was such a small portion of the meal. On to the hibachi, we asked for our meat medium rare and it was not and the seafood was overcooked. I don't mean to sound harsh, but I am being honest. We came in today for lunch and we were the only family at the time. Everyone was spaced out when more people came. Waitresses and cook were very friendly and the food was delicious. I was thankful that they allowed us to share our meals with our 2 year old without any issues or up charge. I docked a star for price. We let them know that we were fine with a regular table since the time but they allowed for the full hibachi experience anyway. The waitress was really nice and ensured that we had everything that we needed. The chef was awesome! I've never had sesame chicken the way that he created it. He was really nice and kept conversations going. The salad and soup was fresh and the veggies were tender along with the meat and rice. Everyone was masked and they ask that everyone be masked when entering which was nice. My only drawback is just social distancing. They said that they may keep one or two chairs empty but typically they allow multiple families at a table. We ate here on a cold Sunday night before a snowstorm and the restaurant was unsurprisingly empty. The servers were attentive and kind, and graciously helped us get our baby situated in a baby chair etc. The chef was standard hibachi style, entertaining, silly, and swift. The interior of the restaurant is much in need of updating, it's falling apart, tattered and beat up- looks like it's been heavily worn for 20 years and needs remodeling. My feet stuck to the floor it was so sticky and dirty. I will just say the food quality was very low. The meat was not colorful, juicy, or flavorful- it looked very much like something pulled out of the freezer and thawed. I'm fact, our shrimp was still frozen when it went on the grill. Because our bill was over $100 for two adults and 1 child, with only 2 glasses of wine, 1 sushi roll, 1 soda, and 2 adult hibachi meals and 1 kids hibachi, it seemed pretty steep. I had the Volcano, Green dragon, and the Sudley rolls. My friends and I loved the Volcano and Sudley rolls the most. The tempura was fried perfectly and had great texture. I took the GF and ManCub there for dinner, just because we have not been there for a while. Staff and Chef were super friendly and ensured we were taken care of the whole time. I ordered tuna for an appetizer with Chicken & Scallops, ManCup ordered Chicken & Shrimp and the GF ordered Chicken and Filet(med rare). The chef put on a nice show, food was fresh and nicely seasoned, and they gave us plenty of dipping sauce (yumyum & steak). The waitress with glasses was extremely rude..definitely did not want to be there. Told us we could not order sushi at the table..although there was someone else eating sushi right behind us. If we wanted sushi we had to sit at the sushi bar. She deserves a one star but I get you rate based on the total experience. The filet was cooked well, tbh most hibachi places taste about the same with the same theatrics from the chef. The food was plentiful, soup was not good at all..very bland..salad was decent. They gave us fried noodles at the end, which I don't recall other hibachi restaurants doing that. So as I said before, you won't leave hungry. On a PC note the cook gave all the extra rice to the men, and all the extra vegetables to the women. Pretty obvious which is the only reason I pointed it out. Sorry I can't remember all the rolls - but my fave was one that was a baked Cali with "special sauce", very good. It's always unfortunate when a place has good food but the service, rudeness, nickel and diming for every single thing and a automatic gratuity added to your bill for a family of 4 or more (and yes small children count as a person) and did I mention rudeness? What a experience. We had a party of 9 and they wouldn't seat us until everyone was there. Understandable when they are busy but there was 5 empty tables at 2pm on a Sunday afternoon. Finally got seated. Menus and dishes out. About 3. Minutes later lady comes by and said sushi is not available. I can only assume the sushi chef just left since we just saw him. Stopped in for lunch about a week ago with the Beau. I ventured out of my comfort zone and had the seafood udon (I think) while he had sushi. My seafood and noodles were okay. I've never tried that style noodle before and to be honest didn't really like it. But that is in no way a knock against the restaurant because it's probably the same everywhere. Essentially they were like mini breadstick noodles in a light broth with heavily tempura'd shrimp, a mushroom and other things. I found it a little bland and the tempura / fried flavour to be over powering and not too tasty for as broth-logged as it got. However, the Beau liked the dish I got. I only had one piece of Philly roll... there was no avocado in it which I found disappointing. But, the cream cheese taste was definitely excellent. The other pieces he ordered looked really good -- big pieces of fresh fish. He said he really liked how big the portions of fish were, as most places skimp. Interior wise it's very clean and very conservative. The staff is also very friendly and helpful -- a man who was, I believe, the owner or head chef took the time to demonstrate how to use chopsticks. The Beau is already a repeat customer. I, however, will most likely go back, just not sure when. read more

The food is always great, the sushi is always fresh and the women who work there are always respectful, polite and extremely accommodating. I always have a stroller with me( 2- under 2) and they always make us feel like we're not "in the way" although we always are. The soup and salad is not bland like someone else mentioned nor are the chefs sexist when coming to giving extra food to patrons at the table. Lol most stupid and ridiculous comment.. honestly some ppl should just stay home so they don't feel attacked by everything and everyone who doesn't cater to their needs. I have 4 boys, all of which eat A LOT but still manage to take stuff home. We try to come here once a month. It's that delicious. The place itself is a bit outdated but that never bothered us. I forgot pictures. I know, terrible. ANYWAY. I ONLY came for SUSHI. I'm not rating the Hibachi section. I've been looking for a Sushi place closer to home. So I tried this place. My first impression walking in, is that it's small. The place has habachi grills, a lot; and the restaurant is small. So I can imagine during peak hours it can get pretty warm in there. There wasn't anybody up front so I just took a seat at the Sushi Bar. A minute later a woman came up to me asking how I was and handed me the Sushi Paper to fill out. She was really friendly. I ordered 2 Nigiri: 1 order of Maguro Tuna, 1 order of Sake Salmon, and 1 order of Unagi Maki rolls. She took the order and went to the back. So in the mean time I checked out the area. The ceiling and corners of the place was clean. I saw no dirt, no dust, no black streaks. The carpet is a red color, and looks really worn. They should probably just install hardwood or some sort of stone tile. The Sushi bar was dusty. The bottles of Sake and other drinks had dust on them, and the glass of the cabinets was pretty dirty. So that sort of set me off. Two gentlemen came out behind the curtain and greeted me. They were pretty friendly. I asked one how long they have been cooking Sushi and he motioned between him and the other guy and said "10 Years. But this store 4 years." So 10 years experience making Sushi. The cut and made it pretty quick. I couldnt really see over the counter, so I couldn't particularly watch them make it. But it was pretty quick. I tried to small talk with the both of them but they didn't really seem very talkative, they WERE friendly, and open to responding to my questions but they werent very giving on talking. At one point I asked how was business and was told "really good". So that's normally good. If business is good, the place cant be that bad. The Sushi came out, it looked good, and it tasted good. I normally do the American thing and mix my Wasabi and Soy Sauce (GASP!) but since this was a place I haven't experienced I wanted to try the Sushi without. It was good. After eating a roll of Unagi one of the Chef's handed me a small tray with baked Salmon on it. THAT was delicious. I made sure to clear my palate with the ginger when switching between Sushi so I could get a clear taste of each piece. It was good, though. It wasn't the BEST I've ever had, but it was no where near the worst. I'll probably make a trip back though to try it one more time. I think I'll try some other stuff next time. read more

This is a great special occasion restaurant...a great place to celebrate a birthday with friends. We went on a Saturday evening before heading off to see a movie. We were promptly seated by a friendly hostess. There were two couples who were seated with us. The service began immediatley. We had the combo dinner, Steak & Shrimp. It comes with Shrimp, salad and clear soup. You get a chioce of fried or white rice. Noodels & vegetables were included. I also like that they have a fairly good selection of sushi, maybe I'll try that next time. The cook's are the show and they are really pro's. The atmosphere and ambience was great and I like the large mural paintings of the Sumo wrestlers. The only downside was the parking issue. It's in a strip mall and next to the Great American Buffett and some other restaurants so you have to park a ways out. Only a real problem if the weather is an issue. read more

My family loves this place and it is our regular sushi place even though it's a half hour drive. The staff is wonderful and the food is great - either hibachi or the sushi. The hibachi is great and the servings are huge. For years I shared a plate with one or two of my young sons and we would still take some home (alas, they now order separately). We also regularly eat sushi there and it is always great and very reasonably priced for the quality. One caution is that, since COVID, they don't have a sushi chef every night, so call ahead if you have your heart set on sushi. I would love for more people to ask them to do sushi so that they will get their sushi chef there full-time. read more

Love this place! Sushi is fresh and comes out quick. Sometimes if I'm at the bar he'll come up with a sushi creation off the top of the head and give us free samples. Hibachi is a fun experience that doesn't get old and food is flavorful! Great tricks and great customer service, this place is awesome! Only complaint I guess is it does take a few minutes for the hibachi chef to come out so I've seen a couple people restless.
