Hibachi chicken

Came here some years ago, during the soft opening, but all they had was sushi. Came today for more offerings. Very good. Service was good. Ambience ok.

I visited Sakura Grill for lunch today - my first visit. I sat at the bar and looked over the offerings. I ordered their Poke Bowl - with everything. Unfortunately, they do not offer an option to serve the Poke over greens - just rice options. I suppose you could order it with simply no rice. Next time I will ask that. I ordered with Sushi rice. I applied some soy sauce - and requested some Sriracha sauce to spice things up. Protein-wise - the Poke Bowl included salmon, two kinds of tuna, and Yellowtail. It also had some Edamame, Avocado, corn, and some other odds and ends. Overall, a tasty Poke Bowl! Service was good. #SakuraGrill

10 piece sushi combo

I have dined here several times. The food is always great and well presented. Prices are average for sushi and cuts are thick. The restaurant is clean, but it lacks a certain ambience for me.

Food is pretty decent, nothing overly amazing but not bad either. Haven't tried hibachi entrees, review is only for the sushi. I have not had any bad service or slow orders like some of the other reviews mentioned. also, they serve hibachi entrees but it is not the Japanese steakhouse style hibachi where it is cooked in front of you. I have to take off an extra star because their doordash prices are ridiculously upcharged. The sushi and sashimi dinner box (pictured) was $10 more than the regular menu price! they need to change this.

Tonkatsu Ramen

I was really craving a bowl of ramen while exploring the greater DC area and this place serves up a bowl that really hit the spot. Service was polite and timely. I sat at the bar which was very well stocked and enjoyed some Sportcenter with my lunch. I may find myself to be a regular at this spot in the future.

Steak Teriyaki Bento Lunch

This was an awesome spot in Gainesville for Japanese food. I was really craving some sushi at the time, so of course I got the Eel lover's combo which came with some Eel Nigiri, Eel and Avocado roll, and Eel and Cucumber roll. All of the sushi was delicious and the fish tasted very fresh! Auntie got the chicken Teriyaki Lunch meal, which came with a generous portion of chicken with some rice and vegetables. One thing she definitely wishes is that there were some more vegetables that came with the meal, but other than that everything was cooked perfectly. Nanny got the steak and shrimp meal off of the regular means, which can be seen to have more vegetables. This was plenty of food here and the steak was cooked just liked she had asked. Lastly, my girlfriend got the steak teriyaki bento box, which came with 3 pieces of a California roll, shrimp tempura, 3 vegetable tempura, salad, vegetables, and fried rice. This was a ton of good food for a relatively cheap price, and I would definitely recommend getting the bento box when you come here. I was glad we got the chance to check out Sakura Grill and definitely recommend it!

Stopped for lunch while traveling through the area Very easy to find and ample parking right in front of the restaurant We both chose the hibachi grill which came with a side salad as well as the broth style soup which were both pretty typical for this kind of restaurant I had to hibachi chicken while she enjoyed her bocce shrimp and both of us preferred the fried rice over either the white or brown rice that they offer for a $1 upcharge These were very large portions for lunch time as well as a generous portion of both proteins and zucchini carrot mushroom vegetable that accompanied both The service was very quick and appropriately attentive and I would recommend this place if you're in the mood for Japanese

Crab Rangoon $6 (not great, just ok)

Service was excellent by James! Our first time having a male server (maybe he's new). Food was good. We dined in for dinner on Sunday, 2/26. We ordered crab rangoons $6.50, steak hibachi $20, vegetable tempura dinner (comes with soup & salad) $14, yam rolls $6.50 and avocado rolls $5. The crab Rangoon was our least favorite so we won't be ordering that next time.

My daughters and I stopped in here because we were dying for sushi and have not found a lot of sushi restaurants open due to Covid, now we can't stop coming! We've ordered sushi, ramen, & hibachi.. it's all good!! I love that we all leave with something we wanted, and they raved over the Mochi and Tiramisu.. this will be our choice for a long time!

Ofer the steak hibachi from here . Steak was tough , chewy and tasteless. It cost to much for the quality of food to be terrible.

But a few things held this visit back from being a great experience. The biggest issue, and the one that cost the most stars: the noise. There's essentially no acoustic treatment in the dining room, and even at maybe 25% capacity, the sound is overwhelming. We couldn't hold a conversation without leaning in and repeating ourselves constantly. That's a real problem. It also had a direct impact on our order -- our server couldn't hear us clearly either, so a simple substitution (no beans, double rice) came out as no beans and no rice. Small thing, but avoidable. On the menu side, the descriptions need work. The patron salad lists "house dressing" with no further detail -- turns out it's quite sweet, which felt out of place on that dish. That's emblematic of the menu overall: the flavor combinations lean creative, sometimes mixing profiles that don't really belong together in a Tex Mex context. It's not bad, just occasionally confusing, and more transparency in the descriptions would help guests set expectations. Bottom line: solid kitchen, good staff, but fix the acoustics and tighten up the menu copy and this place has real potential.

Flavors were good but with a walk up dining experience price feels high, almost double from photos here on yelp. The experience, it was 58° outside but they had their ac on full blast, so cold I had to grab a jacket. The espresso machine was broken, so no coffee for me, would have gotten a tea, but didn't feel like paying the $6.29 for just tea from their disorganized kitchen. Broken furniture and the floors were dirty. Sorry guys, missed it for me.

As former locals who now live out of state it's become a tradition to grab a bite at our old favorite restaurant for lunch. I love the local artwork on display and for sale decorating the dining area, and the staff is always courteous and friendly. For a group of people who have multiple allergies Hidden Julles has remained just that for us. With two of us being gluten intolerant/celiac, one with a soy allergy, and the other two having tree nut and dairy allergies we are all able to find something delicious and eat. I'm also very fond of the gluten free muffins and my husband loves the cinnamon rolls. Their fresh pressed juices are also a favorite treat.

Pizza here is delicious!! Great, thin, crispy crust. The Margherita here is with a white sauce, not red, but still enjoyed it. My son LOVED the BBQ one. My favorite was the slice of grandma's pie. Slightly thicker crust & I loved the red sauce on it. On the tangy side, which I prefer. We recently moved to Haymarket from Fairfax area & was bummed we couldn't find a good pizza spot that could compare to our favorites (Andy's, Crust neapolitan). Lo & behold, this is it!! We'll be regulars here for sure. Great, quick service too. Already planning a big order for my son's upcoming birthday party :)

Just like back in New York where I grew up. Don't often get that here. Service was quick, prompt, and efficient. There is a cooler with drinks, one cooler for non-alcohol, one cooler with alcohol. There are some tables inside to eat at after you order at the counter, or you can get takeout or delivery. Parking is a bit confusing since there are a lot of other stores, but you will figure it out. You can park behind or to the side of Valentino's and walk a tad bit. No more than a minute. It's fine.
