Great breakfast spot in Ormond Beach. It's in a strip mall so plenty of parking. We got there and were greeted quickly and told we could sit where we liked. I did the eggs, bacon home fries and toast. Pretty solid meal and the portion was well worth the price. When I say get the eye for your toast- you will thank me later! My husband had the sun & sand special. He talked about this breakfast the entire time of our trip and when we got home. He said it was like a biscuit bowl. He loved each layer, everything was seasoned well and tasty. Great breakfast, good prices you won't be disappointed!

We had breakfast at Sun & Sand Cafe in Ormond Beach and just had to give co-owners Nina and Chef Cheryl a BIG #shoutout for their #positivevibes and #excellentcustomerservice! From the moment you walk into this very cute #cafe, they greet you with a #smile and make you feel #welcome. The atmosphere is #peaceful and #laidback. As soon as I saw their decor included cool blue artwork and #turtles on their wall, I knew we were a place that treasures #relaxing. Nina and Chef Cheryl are very pleasant and friendly owners of this small business. They are truly examples of business owners who value their customers by giving them a #greatexperience from the moment you walk in their doors. I #highlyrecommend this cafe as a #mustvisit place whenever you are in the #ormondbeach or #daytona area. The customer service and food does not disappoint! The food was fresh, hot, and phenomenally delicious! Absolutely #worththetrip! We'll be back! #SupportSmallBusiness

We recently tried this restaurant for breakfast and we were very disappointed. The service was poor, but there were several people working this morning. We noticed that those who came in who appeared to be regulars, received the best service, while we were ignored and our server was less than friendly when she did come around. The food is overpriced for what we received and it wasn't very tasty. I ordered steak and eggs with potatoes. The potatoes were greasy, the steak was a horrible cut, dry and unseasoned, but the eggs were done very well. That meal was almost $20. We definitely won't be returning, sadly. It seemed super cute and we were looking forward to a new breakfast place.

Fantastic personal service! We went there once on a recommendation (while on vacation) and went every morning for breakfast! Owners were amazing and such fun! Food was incredible! We went every vacation morning they were open and will be back next year!!

Amazing as always! My husband had the breakfast bowl and I had the French Toast Rye bread with an omelet in between the bread. The Mimosas are always on point

So happy to get a new local breakfast spot in Ormond by Sea! They also serve lunch too for reasonable prices. I came for breakfast with my mom on an early Sunday morning. It was crowded but no wait which was nice - we must have beat the late Sunday morning brunch crowd. The inside is clean & decorated with a "beach vibe" which I love. I built my own omelet which came with toast & home fries. You could get grits in place of home-fries as well. My mom got over-easy eggs with grits & toast. We also got one of the specials which were amazing! Chocolate Salted Caramel Pancakes which reminded me of a Caramel Werthers candy. I did not get too much chocolate (they may have just added cocoa to batter because they looked brown), so I would have enjoyed some chocolate chips or some flaked cocoa or chocolate drizzle on top to get the "chocolate" taste, but still enjoyed them a lot! Coffee was also very fresh! Prices very reasonable, and plenty of food! Customer service was also excellent, our waitress was very sweet and checked on us frequently despite having several other tables in the small cafe by herself. I will be coming back again!

Best breakfast and lunch eatery in Ormand Beach, FL!! Two of the four folks in our party ordered from the lunch menu and the other two ordered breakfast and it was all delicious. The cafe is very clean and tables are sanitized between customers. The owners are super personable. We will definitely be back!!

Service - possibly too much! :-) We happened to be seated at the end of the bar and every time a server passed us, they checked on us, tried to collect servingware (some of which was awaiting use) and asked if we needed anything. They were friendly and welcoming, not pushy. Tip: We heard a server describing flights to a nearby table. We had not been told of these. There was a $12 mystery flight with either 3 reds or 3 whites. There was a premium 3 taste red flight at $18. I am using the word taste loosely here as we were advised each taste in the flight is 1/2 glass. Everyone was happy to let us taste any wines that were open. The premium flight included a higher end version of the wine we got by the bottle (Mendoza Malbec) which the proprietress proactively offered us. Judging by that alone, the premium flight would have been worth the price. All wines by the glass were $7 or $15. On to the food and menu: The menu is a nice size and has offerings that would appeal to many palates and appetites. We tried the Crab Remick and the Grazing Board MKT ($20). We were there a year ago when the transition from "Better Days" to the "vine" was still in process. I liked the old menu a little better, but that's a matter of taste. The crab cakes and pasta choices are not on the menu now. (There is mac and cheese) For a scratch kitchen it is strange to me that they don't have any bread. In fact, I question whether they make the crostini. These crostini are small, cracker-sized, and have garlic flavoring. The actual crackers are clearly not made in house (see my photo). I looked at the photo of the French onion soup to see what bread is in there and I could not tell. But here is the thing, coming from Northern CA, having bread, preferably sourdough, to go with your cheese and wine is a key part of the experience for me. I think the Bistro is missing a couple big opportunities here. The first is to offer fresh bread with both the wine tasting menu and the brunch. And the other one is to get SF sourdough starter and use that for a unique and special attraction. Last time we were here, we got the meatball sliders and we really liked those. BTW, they offer tablets that have the menu, including photos, and wines, if you like to access the information that way.

When we walked in, we were told to sit anywhere, it was only 40° this morning, so we decided to sit at a table away from the door. We were greeted and the young man was friendly. My husband had coffee and I had ice water. I did notice that if was loud inside as far as people talking loudly across the dining room from tables. Our server took our order my husband ordered 2 eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits with bacon. I ordered an egg over easy with hash browns, 2 sausage links and wheat toast. Our food was served quickly and we thought everything was going good. But then a SUV pulls up outside and apparently Tuesday morning is when they get their delivery. They propped open the door with all the cold air coming in, everyone except the cook that was working there stopped what they were doing and started to unloaded their order. Never once were we asked if we needed anything. My husband was almost hit in the back of his head with a big box of snack size Lays potato chips. Honestly, that was very unprofessional if they do this every Tuesday morning, they are only opened until 2 PM. They have all afternoon to have an order delivered or come in early before the restaurant opens to have it delivered. You do not go back-and-forth through a restaurant ignoring your customers because you have a delivery. Besides that... aren't most deliveries brought in through the back door not the front. We waited for our check but never came so we stood at the register until we could pay our bill. The restaurant was nicely decorated for St. Patrick's Day but maybe be more considerate of your customers.

There's not a ton of space, which I'm sure makes the rush brunch worse. Facilities were to clean and well maintained, well decorated as well. Our server Ashley was friendly and great. The food was delicious! My fiance and I both got veggie omelettes, he was able to add bacon to his and sub the potatoes for a fruit cup. We got an English muffin and wheat toast. Their wheat toast was massive and hearty, with seeds on the crust. I loved it! Veggie omelettes are always a good test of a chefs skills as they can be super wet from the high water content in veggies. Ours were cooked perfectly, no soppy mess and the veggies tasted crisp and fresh. I don't know if this is a downside, but the menu claimed the omelettes were 4 eggs, but it sure felt like 6 or 7! It was massive! The fruit cup didn't have a bunch of copout fruit in it, it came with really fresh strawberries, bananas and blackberries along with cantaloupe and pineapple. The only truly negative thing I noticed was the jam came in a small plastic cup and when I tasted the jam, it tasted like the plastic, so I couldn't eat it. Overall this is a great breakfast spot that rivals the sitting veterans on the area (first watch, kekes). Give it a go, but be wary of busy rush hours!

Food didn't take long to come out and almost every table was full with a large mob waiting inside and outside of the restaurant. I enjoyed the food although it could have been hotter. Both of our meals were warm so we think it could have been sitting for a while in the kitchen before we were served. I liked the eggs Benedict as the meal had a nice texture overall and the hollandaise sauce was tasty. Potatoes were crispy and I found the seasoning to be perfect. They need smaller plates because I felt like the cost of the meal was more than what it was actually worth. You can see in the picture that my meal appears small because the plate is so big. I ate it all so fast and I was actually still hungry at the end. I didn't know my meal came with some fruit so that was a nice touch. Our server did try to upsell us a couple times offering me a side of toast or some fritters for the table when we sat. It's a decent place to stop at in town.
