It's hit or miss. Sometimes the food is decent and sometimes it's pretty bad it depends on who the chef is I guess. Service at the bar is good, the bartenders are nice. They never have the garage door open which sucks but otherwise feels like a sports bar was hoping for more beachy vibes being by the beach. read more

Lunch and dinner on the first day of my three day vacay in the area. Greek salad and surf side fries for lunch watching Sunday NFL Bills Patriots game and listening to Bears' fans sing the Bears song. Great food. Great crowd. Cajun spice fries and onion rings for din din and the Sunday night Vikes Cowboys game. Super!! Only spot on this quiet side of town with extended hours. Great service. Wish I could remember the names of the great bartender wait folks. They were all excellent. Great prices. Additional parking at back. Soccer game and Monday night football today. What a fun place. First time here for a "pre hurricane party" (any reason to party). Plenty of parking in the front side and back of this location. Three tables, two electronic darts, and two traditional dartboards. Three. Ball tables and two skeet balls. A punching versus kicking game and several other machines in the back. They have a full bar as well as table service and plenty of TVs to watch any sporting event you can think of. This is a great place to bring your crew for some fun. Oh my goodness. I have no idea how this place even stays open. I've never in my life seeing staff members and owners act the way these people do. Everyone that works there has a major attitude. They literally act like the customer is bothering them. The owner is a large man with a small mentality. This was the place at one time we enjoyed. I'm not sure what's happened but it's definitely not for the good. The food and the service are rock-bottom. What a shame. The bar minus the employees has so much potential. something obviously is going on there that must be behind the scenes. We come to Seadrift every time we visit Ormond Beach. It is a fantastic locals spot. The bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff are really friendly and accommodating. The drinks are always cold and plentiful, and while the food may be considered "bar food," it is always fresh and delicious. We love the Golden Tee machine, the pool tables, and the ability to play music we like on Touch Tunes. To highlight just how awesome the staff is, the last time we went we ordered the brownie sundae. Apparently they were out of ice cream and may have needed to make the brownies fresh because they had run out. Instead of telling us they were 86'd, they actually went to the store and got everything to make it fresh. They were amazing. 10 out of 10, would recommend. read more

Food was very good, nice to see something on this area that allows you to get food with your drink. I had a Hot Pastrami Reuben and order of Fried Mushrooms. My wife has what I believe were loaded nachos. Definitely hit the spot and we left full. The only reason it is receiving reduced stars is because of the group of marijuana smokers we had to walk through sitting outside. I moved to Ormond Beach six months ago. I met the owner of this bar, Jim, at Outback Steak house. He seemed like a decent guy and said he owned a couple of bars here on the island. On his recommendation I took a friend to the Seadrift for their Taco Tuesday special. Beautiful Bar... Great food... Great Service, and I will never go there again. Halfway through our food, the owner Jim, walks in the front door and starts yelling at the bartender because the security alarm had gone off and woke him up. He was yelling from the front door, all the way across a full bar, and brought down the mood of the entire establishment. I spend my money freely with people that respect their employees and my business. I won't spend my dollars in one of Jimmy's bars in the future. read more

Great, Clean, modern, Non smoking bar with plenty of seating outside for a smoke. Reasonably priced beers. Chicken wings were awesome. Great bar,great staff. Went in to watch the Astros that were only on the MLB network. The owner dropped down the big screen and put the game on the projector tv with sound. Prices are great for beer and so was the food. All the locals were very friendly too. We will be back. read more

I love going to the Seadrift despite all the bad things I've heard about the owner. Today I witnessed some very bad behavior by a bar owner/boss/man. Jim (owner) came into his bar and immediately started yelling at a young guy who was a bar backer. Jim yelled at him in front of all the bar patrons regarding something the kid did wrong the night before. Jim proceeded to tell his employee that he screwed up and it was going to cost the bar $125 to fix (something about a twisted beer line). He continued to humiliate this employee! The bar immediately became very quiet- everyone in the bar felt completely uncomfortable. We had been in the bar about 45 minutes before Jim arrived and the bar backer did nothing but hustle to clean the counter tops and wash glasses. I was completely disappointed that this happened. It's no wonder that it's hard for businesses to find workers when they are treated like this. Apparently Jim has never heard the phrase 'praise in public, criticize in private'. No wonder the turn over at the Seadrift is so high! read more

We have been stopping to this place in Feb for the last 5 years. We have always had a great time until today. The bartender was very rude and unprofessional. She yelled from behind the bar for our order. When he gave her an order she ignored us. Took her awhile before she decided to ask us again and we told her that we had given her one and she proceeded to be rude and snippy! Unfortunately we will never be back!! read more
