We went in to get a '23 Toyota GR86 repaired after extensive damage from hitting a curb. We were shown the extent of the damage and given a fair estimate. The repairs were completed much sooner than we expected! The initial repair did have a defective part (from the dealer, so not reflective of the shop's workmanship) that required the vehicle be returned to replace the faulty part. Joey kept us informed throughout the repair process. The whole Sun Auto team was friendly and knowledgeable! I would definitely trust this team with any other repairs I may need. Exceptionally poor experience. I took my car into the Louis Henna location for an issue where I already had a diagnosis and not something I wanted to fix myself. Then I received an unsolicited text to help me pay for unexpected auto repair repairs... They the. attempted to upsell me to get an oem part from them and I literally just got the part (taillight) in from GM the day before and was in the car/ there is a wiring issue in the taillight harness as well and I knew which pins were hi h was why I was there to begin with. The wires/connector needs to be trimmed and re-soldered and or a full pigtail put on. Additional repair items were recommended (many thousands in repairs) including one that was done last month by me with a professional mechanic (done). They did opt to not charge the diagnostic fee. When picking up my car and I literally had to climb through the passenger side because another car was staff parked so closely that my door could not be opened. I drove home and with already three strikes against the shop, I opened my hood just in case - and glad I did. The cap for my brake fluid was also not replaced and was sitting in below the windshield wipers on the air intake- Inexcusable. read more

I brought my vehicle in for an oil change, tire replacement, and a few other services. Ever since that visit, my TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) warning light has been constantly going off -- something that was not an issue before the service. I've returned to the shop multiple times (4-5 visits), and the issue still isn't resolved. On top of that, it felt like other problems started after this service, which makes me question the quality of the work done. I simply don't have the time or energy to keep going back and forth for something that should've been done right the first time (or at least the second time). Disappointed with the overall experience. I will not come back nor recommend anymore. read more

Just got back into town with my vehicle from being fixed in another state. told this shop what the problem with my vehicle was and to give me a diagnostic. instead they completely ignored what i told them was wrong with it and came up to $6,000 worth of stuff that had just been previously fixed in the last 3 days. so i paid extra money to tow it back to the other state it was fixed in recently. they changed the part i knew was the problem that sun auto ignored me on. and now my vehicle is running great. do not recommend this shop. there is a woman named victoria that works at the front desk, she doesnt know what shes doing. and they insist on doing whatever they can to rack that bill up. i also had them replace my A/C which is where all the problems began. they broke my radiator while fixing my A/C. read more

I found out about this brand new mechanic shop from seeing their coupon mailer. My car was long overdue for an oil change so I headed down on a Saturday morning a little after 8 am. Fortunately, there was no wait. Their front desk guy, John Gonzales, was very welcoming. He looked up my car to get the recommended motor oil even before I entered the building. He said they'd been open only 20 days and you could see the building, parking lot, and interior were sparkling clean. Alignment checks were free at the time. He also inadvertently reminded me that my car needed an inspection (my car registration due in two weeks had escaped my mind). When they do your oil change, they also have a long list of things they check at no charge. He also printed out a Carfax notification of a safety recall to be done at the dealership. Their waiting area was clean and spacious. A TV and a bunch of magazines were available to keep you occupied. I liked this oil change experience and will return. They have long operating hours from 7 am to 6 pm on weekdays and until 5 pm on Saturdays, which is very convenient for us weekday 8-5ers. read more

i came in for a coolant leak diagnostic on my 2018 bmw 3 series... i was told that i needed to replace thermostat, coolant reservoir and waterpump and was quoted +$2100 to fix the issue and assured that this would fix the coolant leak. after getting the car back a week later, as soon as i drive the car off, i get a message that im low on coolant so i immediatley turn around and return the car. the mechanic then attempted to argue with me that the car was not leaking, when i could clearly see coolant leaking. they take the car back and keep it for another week. i then recieve a call about a "new leak" they found or that the diagnoser missed, and that they would have to replace the part free of charge because it was something they missed. another week later i pick up the car and drive off...later that same day the low coolant light comes on again. i call robert and he tells me to return the car the next day. after returning the car the 3rd time, they keep my car for another week because trying to find the problem and also their garage door behind my car was stuck. i finally get a call after almost a month of having my car from robert saying that theres a coolant leak deep in the engine and that his mechanics are not willing/ dont have the tools to do the job and that there was nothing more he could do. heartbroken, i pickup the car with the same problem i brought it in for, and take the car back home $2000 poorer. currently pursuing legal action. robert has told me they officially no longer work on BMWs...pics below are my proof my car was still leaking coolant after service. Had taken my car in last week for a few things including an inspection and check engine light. They were able to clear the check engine but said I should drive 75 ish miles and bring it in to make sure one issue was resolved and the check engine light wasn't back on. Did just that, brought it back in and they had me out of there with the inspection very quickly. Also let me know we may be looking at brakes next lol change. Love the communication so I'm not surprised next time. These guys definitely have my business! read more

I brought my car in for a check engine light diagnostic. Overall this was a very poor experience. After performing the "diagnosis" and charging me $150 for their "diagnosis" of the issue, they ended up charging me $400 for a part which ended up having no affect on either the check engine light or the behavior of the car. I called them back to discuss this and it turns out they didn't have the proper diagnostic equipment at their shop, so the diagnosis which they charged me a huge fee for was not comprehensive. They offered to have me go to another location for the full diagnostic, but the other location was not a possibility for me. The person I worked with seemed nice enough but was also extremely evasive when it came to question about billing and coverage. He constantly changed the subject away from anything regarding billing and it took a great deal of effort for me to get proper expectations regarding how things were going to be handled. Overall this was just a very poor experience and I feel like I lit $600 on fire. read more

Sometimes going to have your car repaired isn't always a good experience but not this time, Sun Auto was fantastic. The manager, Alan Smith was so nice and he really knows a lot about cars. I came because I noticed something was leaking from my car, I had no idea what it could be so I stopped at Sun Auto since it was close to where I work. So glad I did! All the mechanics were very nice and right away, they were looking at my car and found exactly what the problem was.. my oil filter wasn't put in the right way from the "other" oil change place I go to. Not only did they fix the problem, they looked over my car, checked all the tires, checked my engine and made sure all was good and the best part....wait for it... they didn't over charge me like other car places do. Alan and his team were so helpful, I will definitely come back for any auto needs. Go to Sun Auto for great service and you will be very happy you did! read more

To start off, I was intrigued by their website filled with coupons. However, I went in for a check engine light on my 2010 Chevy Cobalt Lt. It started stuttering and he mentioned it was either an oil change needed or a VVT Selonoid. So I went for the Oil change. Even with a $15 off coupon it came out to $69.23. I usually take my vehicles to Ford Quick Lane but I wanted to give them a try instead. Well I asked how much would worse case scenario would the pricing be to replace those Selonoids, and without hesitation he said around $600. $225 per part (2) and an hour of labor. I just decided to only do the oil change and get the error codes. I left with my engine light on after they cleared it twice. Double checked the error code from Autozone and its the same issues. So now, I check Amazon for the part and low and behold, $30 for both solenoids I need for the car. Even at Autozone the parts are $35. So this place was going to charge me $450 in parts only. I decided to do it myself and this place just lost all my future business. Over charging on parts, you're better off doing your research and find mechanic who would do the labor. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in my neighborhood. Stay clear from Sun Auto. read more

I had my car towed here because the battery went dead. I asked if they could just recharge my battery and let me know the result. The following morning I called back and I was told the Alternator was bad. I had also asked about about getting my oil changed while it was there and having one of my fog lamps secured. The employee I talked to tells tells me I'm being charged a diagnostics fee along with 800 and so many dollars just to replace the alternator. I told him no that I didn't want them to do the work because it was way too pricey. The employee then gets real snippy with me and tells me to come pay for my oil change and get my car towed out of their shop. When I get to the shop he tells me over and over that I need to get my car towed out of their garage because it doesn't run. Come to find out he was lying to me and they pulled it out of the garage and parked it in their parking lot. Don't go here! This is your typical mechanic trying to rip people off. Out of curiosity I got quoted through another automotive shop and they quoted me $360. I will never use these people or recommend them to anyone! read more
