Was recommended by a friend to use Jim at Sun Busters to tint my new car. After getting quotes from all different places, I decided to go with Sun Busters. I called Jim and set up two appointments. One for my car and one for my moms car. He was very open to work with our schedules to make sure everything worked out for us. The shop is a little hard to find. But I was given directions to the shop in the center by my friend. When you enter into the center you pass Café America and make the first left, then you are in the back where all the garages are. You will see garage Q and you are there. My appointment was set on a Friday at 4 pm. When I pulled up at 4 pm Jim was there and greeted me. He was nice and friendly and made me feel safe to leave my car with him. He asked what percentage tint I wanted. I wanted 20% but he did not have 20% in his shop. He had 22% though. So I went with 22%. If you have a particular color in mind maybe ask him ahead of time if he has it. I didn't do that when I set the appointments so I had to settle with what he had. Jim said it will be 2.5 hours to complete. I took off and went to eat dinner at Lazy Dog Café. Jim called my cell within 2 hours to let me know he will be done in 15 mins. When I arrived back at the shop my car looked amazing !!! The tint job was perfect. You can pay cash or by card. After I paid him he explained about the time frame it takes to dry, about the air bubbles and how they will go away in a few days, and about what to use to clean the windows. He also explained the warranties. He offers a life time warranty on the tint but not on the front two windows. I really didn't like that, because it should not matter what windows it is for the warranty to cover damage from the sun, weather, etc. Overall I had a great experience and recommend using Jim at Sun Busters. Over the past ten years, I've taken three of my own cars to Jim as well as my girlfriend's car and they have all turned out amazingly. His prices are reasonable, customer service is excellent, and the tint quality is top notch. A lifetime warranty is included for all windows except the front...this is because it's not legal in California to have it on in the first place so you can't complain about that. The warranty is also transferable to the new owner of your car if you were to sell it. Jim is a very nice guy who stands by his work. If there's an issue with your tint job, he'll do everything he can to make it right. I noticed some light scratching on one of the rear windows' tint on my way home from the shop and after calling him to let him know, Jim apologized profusely and immediately scheduled an appointment for me to come in so he could redo it. Now it's perfect and I'm a happy camper! I've never had any issues with the tint fading, turning purple, peeling, or bubbling. You won't be disappointed if you choose to get your car tinted here. I came to Jim in 2012 to get my CLK350 tinted and he opened up his shop on Sunday all because I told him that that was the only day I was available. He was nice enough to go out of his way just because I couldn't make it during his business hours and he did a fantastic job on the tint. Fast forward 3 years, I bought a 328i and needed to replace the old tint on the car and Jim was honest to tell me that I don't need to replace the back windows--just the front two, which saved me a lot of money. He finished the job in about an hour and it turned out beautifully. He was able to match the exact tint that I already had on my rear windows. It was my first time tinting a car, and Jim made the process easy and painless! He talked to me about the process, discussed how dark I wanted to go, and answered all of my questions. You simply will not find anyone that will tint your windows with the quality and care that Jim gives you at Sun Busters. The shop is not easy to find the first time, but well worth the extra effort. It is tucked away in an industrial park in Tustin so you just need to call Jim for good directions. Jim can also fix most small electrical problems. Jim has tinted 3 of my 4 cars and he goes out of his way to do a professional, quality job. The tinting is still good on all of the cars after a few years. I called around to get the driver window on my BMW redone. It had bubbled up due to heat and prolonged sun exposure. The prices I got were all over the place, but most of them were extraordinarily high considering the work. Jim gave me a very reasonable quote, took my car in same day and had it done quick. His work was great, and I left happy and I plan on returning with my wife's new car to get it done. Was directed to Jim by the auto dealer as they told me they call on him for all their tint work. Called and left a message late on a Friday night. He promptly called me back Saturday morning and was able to work me in that day. Great price and great work. He had my car completed in a couple of hours and it looks incredible. He took the time to explain the different levels of tint and what was allowed by law. I was also happy with the fact that the materials he uses doesn't look all distorted and wavy when wearing polarized sunglasses.
