This place is just awesome!! Guys are super friendly and knowledgeable! ... quick service ... approx. 1 hour! Have an iphone 5 ... stopped working out of the blue last summer...no damage...no water...just stopped...black screen...couldn't sign into itunes...wouldn't charge. Bought a new apple charger...still no charge. Took it to apple genius bar. Waited an hour ...they took phone "to the back" and came back 15 min later and said they couldn't do anything to fix...but they could sell me a refurbished iphone 5 for $290! Ya not happening. Took iphone home and googled possible fixes and the U2 IC chip issue came up...no one locally fixes this issue (company in the UK fixes) ... apparently happens due to using non apple chargers which I seldom but occasionally use. Needed a phone so pulled old iphone 4 out of drawer...charged up and moved service over to this phone. Thought well there's no way to fix iphone 5 and didn't want to spend $$$ to get new phone ... wasn't happy that a perfectly good iphone which I'd taken great care of would just stop working so kept using iphone 4 for 8 months....till a friend suggested I take iphone 5 to Sun Cellular. Brought iphone 5 in ... they tried a new charge port ... still not working ... then put a new battery ($50) in phone and voila!! Works perfectly. Sun Cellular...you guys are the real genius bar. Now why on earth would apple genius bar not be able to diagnose and fix something as simple as a battery issue. I'm thoroughly convinced that when the geniuses "take phone to the back" they are really updating their snapchat or having a snack. Highly recommend this company ... My phone decided to spontaneously shut down after being exposed to too much sun and water and while verizon wanted to charge me 600 for a new phone, sun cellular went above and beyond to make sure I had my phone fixed the day I brought it in and for a very decent price. They even stayed past closing to fix my phone! I had great conversation with the owner, Dan. It is really nice to know that your money is going towards a small business owner and not some greedy corporation. His kids were in the shop being little helpers and they were so cute! I would send anyone I know to sun cellular if they needed their phone foxed. They did a great job and did not overcharge me like most places try to do. While I am hoping I won't be a reoccuring customer (broken phones are the worssst) I will be a loyal customer if anything were to happen and I will be telling everyone to go see dan for any of their repair needs. Seldom that I tell a strange man that "I love him", but, I told Dan. Android has some lame feature that your SD Card & phone will be COMPLETELY WIPED CLEAN if there are too many invalid login attempts. I had my phone in my back pocket, must've been moving side-to-side, too many "unsuccessful login attempts", EVERYTHING WAS GONE!!! Took in my GS3 for a full LCD replacement after I completely shattered it while trying to fix a broken screen myself. Both guys there told me they could fix it in 30 mins that same day, and at a very reasonable price ($100), came back got my phone and it pretty much was a new one, used to be white now it's blue, don't mind but they did an awesome job. I shattered the screen on my old Droid2, so I stopped by Sun Cellular on my way home from work. It was after 4:30 and the shop closes at 5. Even though Dan was still working on other phones, rather than turning me away, he said he could get mine done that day and stayed open past 5. There was a hard plastic band around the edge of my phone that was also cracked. Dan offered to replace it, free of charge, if he could take it from another phone. Unfortunately, that piece was more damaged on the phones he had, but it was awesome of him to offer! read more

Went back again today, to the new location and was so thankful that they were still around. He was able to fix my Blackberry Curve in less than 5 minutes. He was helping out some poor guy who washed his RAZR in the washing machine. He spent time explaining the new phone to the gentleman and charged him a very reasonable rate for a new phone, getting the number on to that phone, and providing a wall and phone charger. Friendly, outstanding service. A 1st Class operation. Do not hesitate, just go to them!! My Apple iPhone4's battery has been on its last legs the past few months (the fact that Apple cannot put a battery in their $400 phones that can last more than a year is another debate for another review). Fortunately, a friend gave me an unused spare, so I was prepared to just do the work myself. I had the proper tools but when it came to removing the battery to replace it with a new one, I was stymied trying to remove the one stupid 2.5 mm screw that kept the battery connection in place. Concerned that I might "strip" the screw completely if I tried to keep muscle-ing it, I sought expert help to see how much it would cost just to take the stupid screw out for me. That's it. Nothing more. I'll take it from there. As a self-employed professional myself, I don't expect anyone to work or put in their time for free and I was prepared to pay a reasonable amount for whoever did the work's time and trouble. I did a Google search and came up with three establishments in my immediate area. The first one did not answer the phone(in fairness, it was lunch time), and the third one, rather dismissively, came up with some lamea*s excuse about the screw being stripped and maybe needing a new connector and said, I quote: "I can't help you, man". I won't mention this establishment by name, but suffice to say they are located at the NE corner of 7th St. and Union Hills and their number is 480-559-9694. My 2nd call was to Sun Cellular and the phone was answered by a young fellow named Issac. I explained my problem to him and what I needed done and, after listening and confirming all I needed was the screw taken out, he invited me to come on down. About an hour later, when I came in to their shop off Bell Rd., a young man behind the counter was the first to greet me. Turns out it was Issac. I re-introduced myself and my problem and he kindly took my phone in back to take a look. I had barely had the chance to sit down in their comfortable waiting area when he popped out of the back smiling, holding the tiny screw in one hand and my iPhone and back cover (I had pre-removed the pentalobe screws so as to take up less of his time) in the other. Hallelujah! I then asked if I could pay some sort of "diagnostic" or other j*rkoff fee for their labor and trouble, but Issac said that it was no big deal. I asked him if he was sure, as I had no problem paying something for their assistance, and Issac kindly declined again. In fact, a slightly older fellow who was also behind the counter (who, I'm guessing, may be the owner/proprietor) chimed in with, "Anyone who would charge you for that should be shot..." Wow. In this day and age, it is so rare to find such friendly and service-oriented professionals--particularly when it comes to repair of consumer electronics. The reviews you read on this Yelp listing are clearly no joke. These guys are the real deal, and iPhone repair shops throughout the Valley (including the last crew that fixed my phone) could learn a lot from them. I can't speak to their experience with any other brands, but in terms of plain honesty, customer service, and sheer professionalism, you owe it to yourself and your smartphone to visit Sun Cellular. Took my phone for a screen repair and was told they needed to order the part, the repair would cost $200, the part would be in by Friday and the repair could be done while I waited. The part didn't arrive when they predicted. I was then told that the part would be in on Saturday and they would call me as soon as it arrived. They didn't. I called several times and was ultimately told that the part had "just arrived." I said that I would come down immediately. I arrived at 3:45 and was told they were closing in 15 minutes and had four repairs ahead of mine. I decided to leave and work with a repair shop that would not waste my time. I was initially hesitant to have the repair done at Sun Cellular because their shop area had parts and phones strewn everywhere in the repair area and I wondered if their business practices were as haphazard as their store. In light of the fact that they quoted $200 for a screen repair and Yelp reviewers have them rated as "inexpensive," you may want to question who is writing the reviews. read more

Sun cellular was recommended to me by the Verizon store. I came in here with two LG G2s which needed screen replacements. They replaced both and it really only takes 30-45 minutes. Turns out some stuff went wrong and I came back the next day. They happily fixed the issues and then sent me off with free screen protectors for my trouble. These people are all very nice and I would send any of my friends or family to them. They don't use cheap replacements like many of the phone repair stores. My daughter was devastated when her beloved iPad mini shattered. There were plenty of groupons for cheaper options, but I chose to check out Sun Cellular based solely on the great Yelp reviews! I'm so glad we did! Dan was very kind, and took our ipad and said it was easy to repair. I wasn't so certain how easy this would be, or cheap.... Fast forward to a week later, we received the mini back in brand new condition, and he was nice enough to put on the Otter Box that we had purchased elsewhere so that we would avoid this again! I would go to him again in a second if we had a damaged phone or ipad to have fixed. I hope this is the only time, though! :) I'm sure you could search and pay less than the $100 we paid, but he was certainly the most reputable and did a great job! Definitely worth the money! You are crazy if you don't go to Sun Cellular to get your cell phone fixed!! Please read this WHOLE story to see how incredible this company is!!!! OK. So the usual story ... my son accidently broke his IPhone 6. The screen was not cracked ... it was SHATTERED, and the case was slightly bent. We went to our cell phone carrier first, hoping for mercy (we have no coverage plan for the phone). The carrier could not help us, it was going to cost my son $650 to replace his phone. BUT, to our carriers credit, he gave us the name of a local company that MIGHT be able to help us. So, off we went to Sun Cellular. There we met "Dan" (a true hero in my book). He looked at my son's phone and said, "Ya, I can fix that." Then he talked about how he would do his best to straighten out the case and then put a new screen on the IPhone for (wait for it ... ) $135!! We handed him the phone, and he apologized that he would not be able to get it done today, but that he would have it done tomorrow. Bam! Next day new screen and the phone still works! Yeah!!!!! Then, the phone won't keep a charge. Back to Dan. He said that maybe the battery was damaged and that he could replace the battery. He said that they usually run about $50 bucks, but that he would get it for us for $25. The next day I called to see how the new battery worked out, and Dan told me that after replacing the battery the problem still occurred, so he looked closer, and found that the Home button (with the fingerprint feature) had a barely visible crack in it, and that that was causing a short and draining the battery. I told him to go ahead and get a new home button (didn't even ask how much), and let us know when he is done. He called the next day and said that everything was fixed. We went in to pick up the phone, and YES, this once BENT, SHATTERED, non operating phone worked perfect. The shocker came when we asked Dan how much more we owed him ... it was less then the $25 we had agreed on for the battery!! SO, like at said in the beginning, "You are crazy if you don't go to Sun Cellular to get your cell phone fixed!!" Sincerely, Tim read more
