At first, I thought "isn't that just for sports or whatever is associated with the park?" But I was SO wrong. There's so much available to the community here: office rooms, conference rooms, event rooms with kitchen, and much much more... including the sports stuff like a basketball court, volleyball, and a track. The staff were super cool and helpful and it's a beautiful building! I'll definitely keep this place in mind for any future projects or events.

We were impressed by the nice indoor pool and also the outdoor hot tub. There may have been an indoor hot tub also. There are many other activities for the 55 plus crowd, such as an arts and crafts area, billiards, bocce ball and various bus outings to places beyond Anthem. A computer room and large fitness center add to the amenities. There certainly seems to be plenty to appease anyone with extra time on their hands! The community center is not gated.

Proceeding Check-in #6 to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I will share my thoughts. This is…read morea City of Henderson Recreational Center tucked in the Green Valley community between the Pittman Wash Trail and Silver Springs Park. The amenities that it provides include outdoor swimming pools, tennis, events & activities, a dancing room, and more. It also provides the needs of my recreation, which is hiking. The Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds is connected to the Pittman Wash Trail. It is at my favorite location along the Trail where a picturesque landscape of mature trees provide a canopy of shade throughout the year. At this scenic spot, the Silver Springs Recreational Center grounds extend across Pittman Wash to the amphitheater and Pittman Wash Overlook. Here, hikers are able to ascend down a trail onto hiking trails that follow the meandering wash. Oftentimes on my Pittman Wash Trail, I have turned onto the short walking path between the swimming pools and tennis courts then crossed Silver Springs Parkway into Silver Springs Park across the street. In reality I have been here more than six times. Walking through Silver Springs Park, which I would count as a recreation center amenity has extended my time in the Henderson Great Outdoors. From my visits to the Silver Springs Recreational Center, I discovered that the restrooms are the cleanest restrooms along the Pittman Wash Trail. I am impressed by the high standards of cleanliness in the restroom and throughout the facility. If only Yelp Tips was still around I would of posted this. Recently, after hiking along the Pittman Wash, I found out that they have vending machines. This was very beneficial when I developed a deep thirst on the hike. The $3 bottle of Coke was a lifesaver. The reality is that there is a long distance from the beginning of the Pittman Wash Trail in Arroyo Grande Park to Pecos Road without proximity to cold beverages. Again, I will say "If only Yelp Tips was still around." Before voting on this review, let me bring up "voting." I have early voted here twice during the past two President Elections. My observation is that the Election aspect was managed well, where finding a parking spot could be a challenge. The parking lot here is relatively small to accommodate Election voting and events. I have seen it fill up to the point where people park across the street in the Silver Springs Park parking lot. On the aspect of voting, I will close off this review by casting a vote of Four Stars for the Silver Springs Recreational Center.

Get out and take a walk…read more This park is a beautiful little place to walk. The dogs, are all around playing ball and walking their humans. The kids can play at a variety of play grounds. If you want some food there is a little Italian spot that you can eat or have to go. The pool is here too for those hot summer Inspirada days. During the day, there are families enjoying the outdoors here. You can spot kids enjoying the playground, and adult enjoying a nice cup of joe and pastries from the coffee shop located on the park premises. This long park runs along Via Firenze, about 100 meters from the entrance to the community from Volunteer Blvd. I found this park to be a safe place, even when walking in the middle of the night. My buddy and I didn't see any shady characters, and nothing to really be worried about. I am impressed not just by this park, but by the Inspirada community overall. This fine piece of greenery is just one of many things that make this community great.

Bonus points for Friendship Park being right next door, because the vibes here are actually good and not just "posted-on-a-sign" good. We've been coming here for years and it never misses. Every visit delivers the same thing: peace. It's beautiful without trying too hard. Some days it honestly feels like you took a wrong turn and accidentally crossed into another state,calmer, greener, quieter... and nobody asking you for anything. Perfect place to walk the dogs, let the kids burn off every ounce of energy, or just sit and clear your head when it's been running at 100 mph all day. If you need a mental reset without packing a bag or burning gas, this is the place. Safe to say this park is officially locked into our weekly and monthly routine

I've lived on the south end of town for over 10 years now and only started coming to this park just…read morerecently. I try and take my kids to different parks so they won't get bored of the same ones all the time. When I searched Yelp for parks nearby, this one popped up. I've been hear a handful of times now. And we've had a good experience each time. We spend most of our time on the playground. There's a jungle gym for younger kids and one for older kids. The big kid jungle gym isn't too crazy at all and I feel completely comfortable with my 3 year old daughter playing on it. It's just your typical slides, ladders and bridges. We've walked around the park as well and there is a baseball field, a basketball court, a skate ramp, a dog park section and lots of open grass to run. My only negative is that I've seen a few sketchy characters here. I just wouldn't venture here once the sun goes down. And it also gets a bit crowded on the playground after school and on the weekends.

We have been taking our daughter to Water Wings for over a year now. We have had her in a variety of class size types, and they have never felt like the ratio of students to teachers was overwhelming. She has changed teachers a few times, but all seem to be knowledgeable. Her favorites have been coach Avery, coach Taj, and coach Dani. Water Wings is located off of Horizon Ridge and Green Valley in a pretty large space. They have a large, three lane pool, and a small baby pool. The large pool is broken up into different sections for the various classes and same for the baby pool. There are 7 showers to rinse off before and after class and even include soap/shampoo. There are a number of changing rooms and restrooms for anyone to use. There is a viewing room for family and friends to watch students swim as well as seating inside the pool area. We are going to continue taking her here even after we are comfortable with he swimming level, as she has learned other good life skills beyond being able to swim.

I scheduled the wrong type of class/lesson for my profoundly autistic son & they worked so quickly to ensure he had an amazing first time. They were so gracious and explained everything so nicely to me while my son was so excited and nervous. They told me that I didn't need to apologize for having to wonder off mid sentence to bring my son back to me & you could just tell they meant it. I seriously have never had such a great experience with my son. Cannot say enough amazing things about this establishment and the young ladies working there.
