Came in today (09/09/25) around 10am to get some blood work done and I was honestly surprised at how quick and smooth everything went! The phlebotomist (sorry I didn't get her name) was super nice and had me in and out in no time. Didn't even feel any pain during the blood draw, which never happens for me. I am shocked at all the bad reviews. I have been coming here for two years and have always had a good experience. Yes, the parking lot is not the best, but there is plenty of free street parking nearby. I feel these folks do an good job. First time ever to write a bad review. The story of headache is about the billing lady . 9113 phone number is handling by a rude lady: She doesn't know how to work smart or thinking on behalf of the owner. I have a balance paid at May 3rd, one month later, by continuing received 3 paper mails to remind me pay, all mails were sent out in one week, I called in office 9113 to explain how I paid, show the proof by email. During the whole conversation, she hasn't apologized to this inconvenience but chatting with other colleagues and eating at the same time. At the end of the call, I just politely ask her do not send more bills or letters, save owner money and her time. She become mad and yelling: don't you understand what the meaning of ' I will take care of it.'? I was surprised that what kind of owner can put candidate like this at Frontline? I sincerely remind residents at San Gabriel Valley, choose other larger franchise labs, a low person will waste your so much time, because their time is not valuable. read more

I was surprised that this office has a lot of seating compared to the one on Telstar. It took about 30 minutes. I don't like any Sun Labs location and prefer Quest Diagnostics but this is what my insurance covers. I would say the check in process is pretty smooth; as soon as you walk in you take a number, they call your number and process the forms. At least at this location there is patient privacy. If you compare it to the one on Duarte Rd. in Arcadia, the lady there is LOUD and everyone can hear everyone's business. There is no patient privacy. But coming back to this El Monte location, the phlebotomist was very courteous. But I was disappointed that she bruised me and it initially didn't hurt when the needle went in but during the blood draw, it hurt a lot. Unfortunately, there was only one phlebotomist back there so if I had to get another blood draw in the future, I would go back to this location because the wait time was not as long, but would probably dread getting the same person. Hopefully, by the time I go again, she will be more experienced. So, something to think about. read more

The staff was so friendly and on top of it. Security guard, lady who checked me in, and lady who drew my blood were all great. But, parking here was an absolute nightmare. The lot is tiny and getting out of the lot was so stressful because people were parking in spots that lowkey blocked the exit. The bathroom needed to be cleaned, the floor was sticky and it smelled bad. And the thing I found most bizarre was that they drew my blood right in the waiting room. Probably the best blood drawer I know. Im highly afraid of needles. This review is for the experience of the lady who drew my blood vs the office. One person office. And yes when you walk in, she might be drawing blood in the other room but you can ask her to close the door if it makes you feel better. Bathroom is small, office is a bit old, but in the end she's good = least amount of needle pain ever felt in a blood drawing. I did two tubes and didn't feel the transit of the tube changing. Garfield, 3/F, Monterey Park, there were no lines, no stress and I was greeted politely and even told to have a nice day as I left. **PLEASE NOTE: I SHOWED UP AT 4 P.M.; LABORATORIES TEND TO BE BUSIEST IN THE A.M. Seriously, how long does it take to register, draw blood and collect urine from a cup? Got there 16 minutes after opening and was #21. Exactly one hour and 4 minutes of waiting aimlessly in the parking lot later, my number was called. I went into the dingy little office, registered, pee-ed into a cup, handed it over, got my blood drawn from someone behind the plexiglass all within 5 minutes. When I looked around as I left the facility, only a few people were left waiting. What a wasted morning! Word of advice, don't go during opening time. I felt like I was receiving service in the developing world, not in the America I used to know. Yes the blood drawing woman was excellent (it is usually hard to find my vein, but she did carefully find the best area), but the wait was extremely long and no appointments are available!!!! I spent over 1-1/2 hours in line (holding my little 'home made' paper number), waiting to have my blood drawn. They didn't even have a professional numbering system for clients. The place is old, ugly, not painted well, poor signage, some signs written by hand in Chinese, poor use of English on signs which were actually typed on a computer and printed on a printer. 35 minutes ago Ok this place is old, dingy and cramped. The lady at the front window does a good job considering how hectic it is. The young lady that drew my blood today was professional and pleasant. I do have to say the restroom is very dirty looking. The patients that come in have no regard for your personal space. Most people come up to the window and start talking to the woman who is already talking to a person at her window. This woman has a lot of patience. She is professional and takes people in as they are signed in on the sheet. It's mostly the inconsiderate patients who erked me. People standing there listening to conversations. Needs a bit more organization and privacy compliance practices. Time wise my wait was fair. read more

I went to the Sun Lab located at 1048 S Garfield Ave, #302 to get a tube for the stool samples at noon time. The place was not very clean. The woman there was busy at blood drawing. I didn't sign in for the tube, I waited till she finished the blood draw with the patient, so I told her what I needed. She continued her work with another patient. I told her that I was not there for blood draw, but doctor asked me to get a stool sample tube as I didn't know whether she will continue her work without paying attention to me. After she was done with another patient, she impolitely told that I had to wait. Of course, I had to wait, I didn't rush her. Why so rude! read more

This is a small 'mom & pop' style lab. The 2 ladies that run it are no-nonsense and don't play games with pretentous snowflakes. They are extremely quick and efficient. This lab is not for everybody. No reading materials or TV, you won't be here that long. I find their approach to drawing blood to be refreshing. If you want your hand held, it's probably best to find a different location. read more

I went to have my allergy blood test today. There are only 1 receptionist and 1 nurse/MA to draw blood. Good service, efficient, and fast. The nurse/MA wear glasses I think she is Mexican/Hispanic (not sure) wear light blue scrub tie hair up - she is very nice and does a very good job. I don't really feel anything when she put in the needle compare to other places I feel the pressure pain. I be there at 8am and only wait about 30 minutes. I took my mom here for her bloodwork and we arrived before 8am. She signed in and waited to be called up to present her ID and insurance card. This took over 50 minutes. The door is open when the patient's blood is drawn. Additionally, there are bugs right outside of the building and in the entrance. Lastly, the waiting room is the size of a walk in closer. I brought in two lab slips from my primary care and an urgent care doctor. They said they would do both test forms and took a lot of my blood, but never did most of the tests. I found that out when I went to my primary care doctor and the results for my physical were missing. I am going to hold them accountable for wasting my time and possibly defrauding my insurance. read more
