Aside from that, I made well use of my layover as my hotel was only 2 blocks away. Came in about an hour remaining until the store closes at 7pm. Anyways, I went in after the hottest part of the summer day, the heat didn't die down. But I could look around without getting caught in a large crowd of shoppers. Don't you love how they place many of the sale items all the way on the top floor. It's a simple walk upstairs, plus the men's merchandise is on the second floor anyway. I initially went in with a look in mind. Tried out the first outfit and got the sizes matched up right away. While still scanning the sales floor, I put together a 2nd and 3rd option. Salesperson was very helpful trying to find my size. I do like their dressing rooms. Nice and big with bright lights like you are on the runway or a photo shoot! First of all, I was on a very tight time line because we decided to elope in weeks. I jumped on Etsy and ordered what I thought would be the perfect veil with enough time to receive the item. But, when the veil arrived the shade of rose gold did not match my dress. I quickly notified Monique and asked what I should do. She immediately told me she could help me. She calmly explained she had a new color that might work and she could dye a new veil and add the metallic flakes and get it mailed before my date. The date I notified her was 6 days from my wedding date. She made it happen. The veil arrived the day of the ceremony before noon as promised and was absolutely perfect. But then I found a photo on Pinterest of a bride with an incredibly thin black veil in the sheerest, most delicate tulle I've ever seen, and I adored it. I miraculously tracked it down as having been made by Cleo & Clementine, so I reached out to them and asked them about the possibility of making one for me. I actually assumed it would be way more expensive than it was, but the price (~$300 for cathedral length) was within my range. They worked with me via email to create my custom order, and it finally arrived tonight! My dress is also being custom made, so I don't have it yet, and therefore don't have any way of knowing how the veil with look paired with my dress. I imagine, though, that it will be perfect. It's the exact fabric I asked for, and I can't wait to see the end result. I'll definitely return to post photos after my wedding day!
