We live in Dayton, where the entire neighborhood is All Electric. Our home is central a/c @ 2000 square ft. And we have had our 43 solar panels w/2 backup batteries, active for @ 8 months. We have definitely benefited from our panels. Prior to solar our Electric bills ran as high as $500. The past two months our light bill has been $26-$40. We have even had a lower bill of $17! There have been a few times where our neighbors were without electricity for a short time, and the lights never even blinked in our home. This savings is well worth our decision to go solar. We would have been lost without our salesperson and installer. They were knowledgeable and supportive through the entire process. These two alone made our experience successful. We have been dealing with SunEnergy Construction since September 2021. We didn't get operational until May 2023. They caulked holes in the roof and now we have leaks when it rains. We contacted their main office in California several times to get it resolved. As of 07/25/2022, we were notified that SunEnergy construction is now out of business. read more

We went with Sun Energy for our solar install. Dawn was great to work with and made sure she gave us the best financing options. She kept us informed of each step. Getting all the permits took the longest time. We got the Canadian solar 395 panels and we are producing more than we thought we would. Last summer our bills were $600! We got our first electric bill since Solar was installed and it was for $0 can't wait to see how much we will save this summer. read more

I have been dealing with Sun Energy since May 2022, when I signed a contract for a very large solar install on my ranch. The completion date was July 28, 2022. As of this date, March 23, 2023, the project is incomplete. I have had 3 different installers out (hired by Sun Energy) and each caused damage to my property and none of the were able to get the solar power operational. If it were not for the ENPHASE Battery Company technicians coming to the rescue and working tirelessly to rewire the entire system, I would still be without solar power. Enphase went way beyond their obligation in order to make my project viable. They sent a technician from Austin every day until the wiring was corrected....4 days of work, where three men stayed beyond 10PM to get the wiring corrected. Luckily, they took photos and are providing timesheets for the work they performed. The Sun Energy contract also included moving the wiring from a Generac generator in order to allow the generator to operate for a guest house. The San Bernard Electric Co-op shut the power to the generator because the work did not meet code, did not have the proper switches or the correct number of wires in the feed and the controller that was installed was not compatible with the Generac generator. I am waiting for some resolution to the on-going and continual problems from Sun Energy . read more

The city permits took forever. We received the wrong IQ gateway, and there was a mix up with the financing. The guys at Texas Direct worked through all my issues, and I have nothing but good things to say about Anthony and Michael. When you have people drilling holes in your roof, you had better make sure you are dealing with a reputable company. Don't trust your home to just anyone. For a great system and a quality installation, go with Texas Direct Solar! If you're on the fence about going solar.... don't be! Last summer my light bill averaged nearly $500 dollars per month. Our upfront cost was still a bit high because of the batteries, but we now have backup power without the need to purchase a generator. The batteries allow us much more system flexibility, and we don't have a fifteen-thousand-dollar generator wasting away in our backyard. My system works great. It produces even on partly cloudy days, and most of my panels aren't facing south. The app to monitor the system is awesome. I use it every day. I am extremely happy with my purchase, and thankful that I chose Texas Direct Solar.

They drafted up the whole HOA proposal, filed it and paid the permit fees. Dealt with everything from the energy provider. The HOA proposal was 18 pages long, and they wrote it. And the cost was less than Tesla wanted. Of course, Tesla came back and said, hey, we'll match that price. But at this point, it's too late. Like, why do I want to go back to you guys? Tesla energy is hard to work with and was being unreasonable. I signed the contract moved on, bought it from solstice. No regrets. I did still get the Tesla powerwall 3 and Tesla controller. Most people don't get to have much experience replacing a 20-30 year-old roof. Our recent roof placement was definitely a first-time experience for us. We received a referral to Stallion Solutions and called to make an appointment to inspect our roof. This is when we had the pleasure of meeting Brian Pfeiffenberger, a Project Manager for Stallion Solutions. After meeting Brian, we were given white glove customer service all the way to the end of the project. We just can't say enough about the service and quality behind everything Stallion Solutions does. They don't cut corners. I never knew how much nicer an expertly installed roof could add to the looks of our home. Brian presented quality shingle options to us, and walked us through a very informative presentation on warranties. They ended up installing a drip-edge that matched the shingles, unlike most contractors who paint to match the eve of the house. Wow, that drip-edge really pops and looks beautiful. I could go on and on, but needless to say, we are incredibly happy. Our more than twenty-year-old home looks almost new again. We are so grateful to Brian and Stallion Solutions. Given the quality of the work they did, I doubt I'll have to call Stallion Solutions for years to come. I used them twice for different houses, so that alone is a testament of my good experience with this company. On my latest install, they were professional from start to finish, although not perfect in some areas (more on that later). I'll start with the issues, and then close with the positives. On our first house, I encountered some disappointing challenges during the execution/installation phase. Our garden was trampled on, one of the windows were installed on the wrong spot, and a light fixture was damaged and the crew tried (poorly) fixing it without notifying me (all caught on CCTV). With all that said though, the company stands by doing the right thing and resolved everything on a timely manner. How it was handled was much appreciated and influenced me to use them again and refer others. On our second house, almost everything went smoothly. All windows were replaced in just two days! Just encountered a minor hiccup when a wall was damaged and a worker claimed it was pre-existing. Luckily, I purposely took before-photos and was able to provide evidence that it was not pre-existing. In the end, it was fixed within satisfaction. As for the positives, I really have to give credit to Milton, the supervisor on the second house. He was very professional and accommodating. On one of the windows, he found water damage and pointed it out to me instead of trying to cover it up. The damage and source were all fixed. Seriously, he could have moved on and I would have never known! All the windows were installed to my satisfaction. Few minor quirks remained, but possibly due to the window manufacture (or so I was explained). Also appreciate how floors snd countertops are covered to prevent/reduce damage and dust. I recommend this company. Here are some tips before using them (or any other window company): - Take lots of photos of each window before the work starts. Ensure to get several close ups and different angles of the trim and corners, both inside and out. Ensure good lighting for a useful photo. - Check with your HOA to see if it's the window replacements are allowed. Some care about colors of trim and grid vs non-grid. - Expect the order to take several months to come in. Get your quote early if it's a house you plan on moving in.

I thought that going solar would relieve my ever increasing light bill. I had a few people calling from all over and Dawn Hoover called from Sun energy. Dawn from the very beginning was informative and a pleasure to work with. The process was slower than I expected and there were a few things that needed to be addressed. Dawn came through every time! She went beyond her job duties. Dawn stayed with us even after the panels were installed and made sure we were happy. Btw, I enjoy not having to pay a ridiculous amount for electricity every month. I have no regrets with my solar decision and am grateful that Dawn took care us every step of the way. read more

We decided to go Solar with the rising energy costs and us not having gas for a generator. We got system with 40 panels and a battery. Our sales person was great! She helped us even get the insurance we needed that our utility company requires. Our bills used to average $340 a month. Now we have bills around $40 (mostly the base charge) our solar panel payment is under $200 so right off we are saving $100 a month. Last night several neighbors were without power. I first started to look into solar when my electricity rate went from .08 to 17.4! I met with 6 companies. Sun Energy was the first one I met with and I was impressed. The sales rep was Dawn (same name as mine) she took the time to explain how it worked and answered all my questions. All the rest of the sales people that came over just tried to get me to sign. After meeting with all the companies we called Dawn, she came back over and even brought us dinner. It took a little longer than we expected but we are so glad we went Solar our electric bill last month was $15. read more
