Every time I needed a refill I had to call multiple times to get them to actually fill it. I would call one day, they'd say sure we will get that going. Then nothing for days, and I call again and they would say I hadnt called and so it was not even put in! It was an average of two weeks each time I needed somthing. The last straw was them sending a refrigerated medication that was out so long it was hot to the touch, given this is AZ I can accept that, and they agreed to replace it. But then they claim my second medication was in the same bag which it very much was not, and they refused to address that one. This medication by the way I had been asking for over two weeks. I did a price check on my items with other local compounding pharmacies and Val vista was the most expensive in the area across the board by at least 20%! I have asked my doctor to send presscriptions elsewhere because it was always a struggle and bad experience.

When I got to the counter I asked the pharmacy tech if they had been filled. She looked it up and said only one had been filled so I asked what the problem was with the Trazadone and she said that one had been filled it was the Hydrocodone that had not been filled. I asked her what the holdup was and she went to talk to the pharmacist. The pharmacist comes over and point blank asks me why the Dr had prescribed it to me. I told her I had severe arthritis in most all my joints and they can't do surgery on all of them. I was irritated that she had asked me that. Is that good enough for you? Then she says it will be ready in 20 minutes. When I came back to pick it up the pharmacy tech asks me when was the last time I took a hydrocodone and then sends me to the consult line. I told her I did not need a consult i had been taking the medications for quite some time. She said well the pharmacist says you do. I asked the pharmacist why she had me come over for a consult when I had already told them i didn't need one. At this point I am feeling harassed, so I asked her if this was going to happen every time i came in to pick up my prescription because if it was I would be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. Now another lady named Molly that I assume was the pharmacy manager or seemed to be in control tells the pharmacist to go back to work that she will handle it. She then tells me that I am a new patient and they have to follow AZ laws and rules and they have to know I'm legitimate. So I asked what are these rules?. and she then starts getting loud and telling me that her people were not going to be talked to this way and that I am harassing them. Now mind you...it's 4:45 pm and there's a line and everyone in it can hear what she is saying. Now, she has endangered my life because it would not be the first time someone got mugged in the parking lot for their drugs. She continues to berate me while she is holding my prescription above her head "Hostage" I tried to reach for them because she had me really upset and stressed out and I just wanted to get out of ther. i had been embarrassed, verbally abused and harassed. She yells I'll call management or we can just cancel your prescription while she is still holding my medications. She finally gave me the bag and I flipped her off and left. The lead told me that the liquor is a private vendor, there are signs in liquor section (we could not find any such signs) and they could not do returns or change prices (store policy since 2025). The price on shelf was 12$ less than what the bottle charge at check out stand. He escalated the concern to a Coach who after we discussed for the 3rd time, issued a merchandise credit. The coach told me it was state law to not take liquor returns. (Fake or miss information) Other grocery store are not following the law. Going forward, we advise you buy from a retailer who will stand 100% satisfaction on all their products! We are grateful that the lead did listen to me and found a fair solution.

It also has good customer service as expected at Costco. And has most of the same products that every location has. Also has a decent sized parking lot so hopefully there should be enough spaces for if you're shopping and need somewhere to sit. The criticism I have is that it is a pain to drive through as well as find a space because of the design. It's especially frustrating on days when it's super hot or over 100 degrees and need to find a closer spot so you can get inside to buy what you need. Also the gas station tends to be slow and packed but that's like every Costco.

On the bright side, the checkout process was seamless. I headed to the self-checkout where an attendant was ready to assist, and I was in and out of the store in under 15 minutes.
