Mike Francis is the most intuitive and knowledgeable club fitter/golf professional I have ever dealt with. I have had several fittings over the almost 30 years that I have played golf. (I started when I was 48). I have had spinal surgery and as a result of this and aging my distances have dropped significantly. When I called PGASSTORE Peabody I spoke Craig, the manager on duty. He actually listened, asked great questions, and insisted I book a fitting with Mike Francis, ONLY. Great advice. At our first appointment he only fit me irons (AND SHAFTS). He doesn't believe in full bag fittings. Next appointment was for a driver. Great technology, better knowledge. Suggested driver, a fairway, and hybrids to augment the irons. I ordered them all. Needed more loft in the fairway, took advantage of their satisfaction warrantee and Craig perfectly suggested alternative fairway. Driver was giving un reliable results. Contacted store. Mike insisted I book a free driver evaluation appointment. Within two minutes he saw the problems, tweaked the club and my setup. I was then hitting simulator drives in excess of my computed optimum. I've been shopping at this store since it opened and recently had one of the worst experiences in not just a golf shop but any shop. I tried to return a set of clubs under the 90 day return policy. I didn't have my receipt but I asked the salesperson if he could look me up in the system or use my credit card. I just wanted to return to buy a new ( and more expensive set) his response was " we don't do that, can't you see how busy I am and please step aside so the next customer can make her purchase". I asked again politely and his response was " what part of my explanation didn't you understand". it's back to online or golfers warehouse for me. if this is a part of your training and your staff can't manage a busy store without insulting customers, it's time to update your training read more

They do not carry any left handed clubs. if they stock 10 right handed drivers they will maybe stock 1 left handed one and it will be in the most ridiculous configuration. If there was such thing as left handed golf balls they wouldn't stock it. This goes for putters and golf gloves as well. Go to Golfers warehouse down the street instead. read more

My whole adult life I've been an occasional golfer. I'd go out slice, hook and top the ball, hit one good and five bad, try to make corrections and listen to advice from friends. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos too. All to no avail as my golf game continued to be sub par. Finally decided to man up and take a lesson. I was going to buy a SIM2 golf club driver cash and couldn't even get into the simulator to try out the club.... THIS HAPPENED ON SUNDAY 3/7/21 in the Peabody store... After our flight was cancelled out of sun Valley, Idaho, we rented a car and drive in a white-out to Salt Lake City in an attempt to return to Tampa & sun! My grandson called while we were slowly navigating 84E to let me know his Christmas gift certificate never arrived via email. I call Peabody PGA and Greg saved the day!! The New PGA Superstore in Peabody is amazing. It's enormous and besides having an endless range of every golf brand for clubs, it has experiential opportunities for putting, club demo and practice bays. On the retail side, they have a vast range of clothing lines from Nike, Puma and Vineyard Vines. I took the 55 mile road trip with my wife to check out the new TaylorMade M6 fairway club and they had all the shaft options and loft options in stock and for demo. The demo is done in a large simulated bay and the software is as good as the visual for gauging how you hit the club. I have always used stiff shafts and after hitting both plus the M6 Driver, I went with the Regular shaft for feel, consistency and accuracy. Ben was my pro/ club fitter and was helpful and patient as I tried several clubs and went back and forth. This super store is worth the trip and is a don't miss for the average golfer and low handicapper too. Can't wait to go back and try putters on the super sized green. There are some things golfers can buy online but this store will make you want to go try clubs and enjoy the experience. * Plus their 90 return policy can't be beat if you need to exchange that new club or putter. Went in looking for a new set of irons and as a beginner I had no idea where to even start in terms of what brands and lengths etc. One of the staff (Patrick) saw me looking around, pretty lost and he immediately helped me! Got me into a hitting bay and had be trying out a bunch of different brands in order to find the one that fit me just right. The staff here are always so helpful! I won't go anywhere else. I gotta say I'm super surprised at these negative comments. I've been in here probably 15 times over the last month or two to try out clubs as a relatively new golfer, and every time I've been met with patience and a willingness to fill me in on everything I need to know to buy clubs. These guys are kind, know their stuff and really made the process much more simple than had I tried on my own. Selection is wild. I would give this store a 0/5 stars if I could. We drove over an hour to get to this place on 2/26/23 and we were welcomed with...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. From the front desk lady with the ombre yellow/pink hair, the big white guy working the simulators, and another young white guy. I came in with my bf to try out some clubs and there was staff STANDING AROUND not helping anyone and as we came up to ask to try a club out they made eye contact YET walked right past us AVOIDING us not acknowledging us at all. Not to mention we're from Hawaii and we are people of color not white. We've experienced racism here in the east coast but not ever as bad as we experienced at this shop. We went to the front desk lady and she told us to see the guys along the simulators, went to them and they said to see the front desk for a nonexistent waitlist. I have been to the PGA Superstore twice now. The first thing that jumps out at you is the massive putting green. There are 6 or 7 holes to practice your putting. I ended up buying a Odyssey putter at a very decent price.I also bought a couple of pullover jackets that were on sale. They have 2 different types of practice driving bays. You can actually play different golf courses on one and the other you drive into a big net and they have tvs in the bays keeping track of your swing information. They vary in price and you need reservations to use them. Plenty of clubs, bags, shoes, balls and assorted golf equipment. They also have a tennis section.The place is very cool. read more

I am a beginner golfer and was advised by a friend to try a PGA Tour superstore for fitting of the right golf club. What a great experience I had! Patrick Mizioch worked with me for over 2 hours. He brought out multiple different styles of irons and drivers (shaft and head combinations) for me to try. It was very educational and rewarding to see the results of the changes seen between different clubs in the ball flight analysis bay. I am confident that the right clubs for a beginner golfer were found at the right price point. He never pushed for higher priced gear he kept reminding me "if the ball flies straighter, lands more consistently, and further for YOU that is all that matters" I have to say again I had a great experience. read more

Apparently, returns are not welcome at this store so you better be 100% sure of your purchase before you leave the store. Don't bring home that shirt or pair of shorts to try on at home and expect to not get a hassle from an associate when you want to return them. And what's the purpose of a 90 day playability if you can't try clubs on the course and if they don't work, exchange them for something else? I have dealt with many of the associates at this store and they are full of piss and vinegar. It's like they hate their job - you never see any of them smile or offer to help. They are there to push product off of the shelves plain and simple. A proper fitting should take a couple of hours by a trained professional that knows what they are looking at/for (Hot Stix, Cool Clubs, True Spec Golf, Club Champion etc. There is a reason their fittings cost hundreds of dollars and PGATSS charges nothing). I've worked in the golf business for 25 years and some of these "fitting philosophies" these associates spew out are downright ridiculous. Just because they have a blue shirt and a name tag it doesn't make them an expert. I doubt most of them could even break 90 on the golf course. Remember these are $13 an hour employees that are either part timers, retirees or students. They have a hard time finding and retaining top tier talent in this company. I tried to return a set of irons the other day and the associate Dustin made a decision that he wouldn't accept the return at that time. I asked if I could speak to him regarding the matter as I needed another set for my league and after a 1/2 hour of waiting in my car he wouldn't come out so the General Manager Greg came outside and asked if he could help me. What should have been a private conversation between myself and Greg he had in front of other customers that were waiting for their orders. Talk about lack of professionalism! The whole time he was talking to me he was looking down at the table and wouldn't even look me in the eyes like a man. Total disrespect! I wasn't allowed to talk or ask for a further explanation. He said he no longer wanted my business and I wasn't allowed to shop there. No problem! There are plenty of other stores to shop at in fact I dropped $3,000 at an online store because they had a wide selection of left-handed clubs, provided excellent customer service and went above and beyond to get me a new set in time. I ordered some golf shoes online and the sole of one shoes had an issue. I emailed customer service on 4/12 with pictures of the shoe, asking for a replacement or refund. I have now emailed 5 times and have not received a response. I've also called 5 times, waited 10-11 minutes each time to speak with a representative. After you wait 10-11 minutes, you go directly into a voicemail. I've left a voicemail each time, I have not received a call back. My issue is not with the store in Peabody as it is with online customer service. If they don't respond to emails or calls, they've literally made it impossible to get help with an order. I went in to buy a 3 wood. Terrible experience. I thought the salesman would spend some time with me going over the numbers and changing heads, lies, shafts etc... none of that happened, he gave me a club and left for over ten minutes, came back and asked "how'd that feel?" I said good I guess but shouldn't we be looking at the numbers, he just gave me another club , left for another ten minutes and returned asking how'd that feel, never went over the numbers and only used 2 clubs. Complete waste of time I could have done the same myself. Please don't waste your time and money here, go to your local pro and get a real fitting read more

I went in with some friends to look at some golf stuff. I was thinking of buying a 5 wood or maybe a 4 wood. My friend told the guy that he wanted to try out some drivers. He gave them a spot at the simulator, and then I asked if I could try out some woods and he said I could hit whatever I wanted to hit. He didn't get me my own simulator and so I just shared with my friends. This was extremely annoying for somebody who was trying to pick out a wood to buy. The simulator was set up for a driver so when I tried to hit it almost never picked up with the wood because I couldn't hit it off the tee that was there. The tee that was there was driver height and you couldn't move it, but you had to hit in that spot for it to see the ball most of the time. This was very annoying. I asked somebody working there to help me so the simulator would pick up on the woods, I don't think he really knew what to do so he just moved it forward which pretty much did nothing. I think the guy who gave us the simulator assumed I was just a kid who wanted to fool around and waste time, but I was actually going to buy a wood. To make matters worse, they gave you a couple of Wilson balls to try out the clubs with. These balls were literal rocks, why couldn't this big store with a ton of golf stuff give you a tp5 or a z star to try out clubs with. I ended up not buying a golf club, if someone had just helped me for like one more minute I could have bought a club. I have bought golf clubs at another golf store in the past that was not a pga superstore and it was a much better experience. I would recommend going to another store and not here. read more
