First time ever camping, I heard a lot about frontier town and was able to get a spot on fourth of July weekend. And I'll be coming back year after year. When i first arrived the front office ladies greeted me with a smile and were super helpful. Went over the rules and activities they had going on for the weekend. The campground was beautiful and clean. Went to the western theme park with my kids and had a wonderful day. Watched all the shows they had for the day, my favorite would have been the nugget show. The cowboy they had playing the drunk was amazing. My kids really enjoy the shoot out in the street so much that they had to get cap guns of their own. The native American show was very educational. My family is excited to come back next year. We can't wait!!!! read more

I have been going to Frontier Town Campground for a long time. Long before Sun RV bought it. And I plan to continue our annual family vacation at the same spot. But watch your money there, keep a close eye on your credit card that you have on file with them. They will charge your account extra fees first and ask questions later. You will have to talk to several managers, (Carrie, Jennifer) over a few days and make several phone calls to prove that you were correct and they were wrong. Then you will get a refund. But sure to persevere. I think it is a great place for families. They are corporate now and very money hungry. read more

Frontier town is located in Berlin Maryland. I came camping with my family on Fourth of July weekend. The property is massive and has lots of entertainment and food options... Including inside the waterpark, the main saloon and restaurant, and other ice cream trucks and treats throughout. There is an area where you can dock a boat if you have one... And you can walk along the pier and go fishing. Included in your stay is the waterpark and pool. There is a cowboy show - shoot out happens at 7 and Native American cultural show you can attend at 2 or 5, daily I believe. We attended the Native American show, which is awesome. It is family run, and we learned some words as well as watch traditional dances. You could also throw the hatchet, do archery or get your hair braided in the same area. In addition to that they have a zip line and ropes course, as well as mini golf, that you can pay separately for. My husband and I did the ropes course which was challenging but really a lot of fun! There are golf carts you can rent for $100 a day to get around the property. There are endless things to do and each day we stayed we did something different. Great weekend. Check it out! read more

We have go every year when we go to the beach with our kids. My son is 8 and daughter 6 and they started going at 5 and 3. My son requests it every year and talk about it for weeks before we go and after. What's so great about it? It is set up like a real Wild West town (and Indian village) they have performances with shoot outs (using blanks) and activities for kids (ax throwing, mining for gold, mechanical bull riding, shooting bow and arrows. And my son (and now daughter's). Favorite part....running around the town shooting at kids with cap guns while they shoot back. This year the actors even stayed around and got into to some pretend gun fits w the kids (would fall over dead as kids shot at them) My kids could have played there all night...they were having the time of their lives This year we went to the water park for the first time and that was a lot of fun too. Getting into frontier town itself is free. But you kind of need to buy your kid a cap gun (or bring one!) and all the activities cost some money. But in my opinion it is a very unique experience you can't get anywhere else. You can't bring coolers or outside food but they do have good, some fun kid drinks, and alcoholic beverages for the grown ups. For people that like camping they also have cabins and campgrounds there....and they run a shuttle to Ocean City which is only 15 miles away. We have never done the camping. We actually usually stay in Rehoboth Bach (an hour away) and drove there for the day (my kids love it that much) OR hit it on our way home. Attached were pictures of the camper I rented. Picture of the floor was so soft. Couch was falling apart, and they just covered it which by the way kept falling off. I realized that it wasn't going to be the same camper I saw when I first booked, but this wasn't even close to what I was looking for. The awning was ripped in different places and the lights didn't work. Grill has rusted, and the electrical outlet was broken. Kitchen table was broken and we couldn't eat or play games since it rained all weekend. I have more complaints about the facility itself, and had an issue with the young man Zack, who works the golf cart stand, we rented a golf cart. The cart didn't charge, so we took it back to exchange. He had a huge attitude and kicked open the door to get us a different cart. I did speak to someone who apologized for the issues we were having. She did say she would send a check for 300.00 We spent over 1300.00, and drove 150 miles for a broken down trailer and a bad attitude. and I paid a lock fee for that spot. What a waste of money. I could have gotten that at home.. Needless to say we won't be back.. Just thought you should be aware of the issues before other people have the same experience. Not posting the pictures on here.. We have gotten used to Sun Resorts and the changes they made. We reluctantly booked an RV site in the new section, the last one. I called and the rep stated we didn't need to pay the lock fee due to it being the last sight. A few days before our trip, I called to add an extra day, no issue doing that. Again I reiterated we wanted to be in the new section. Driving to the resort I called to confirm we had express checkin "yes" but one small change, we got bumped to a different site. I explained to the front desk the dilemma and she stated it was unfortunate. Upon arrival at Frontier, the front gate attendant checks us in and lo and behold we are in the new section. We drive to our assigned spot but there is an RV freshly parked in the site on our paperwork. They were local people according to them and our speculation is they were related to someone at the front desk.... I drive all the way back up front with our large trailer attached and the front gate attendant states he will have park patrol move the RV. 45 minutes later and another drive back there, nothing happens. I drove back up front again and go in the office. The front desk girl stated we don't lock in so they have the right to bump anyone. No apologies, no cancellation. She got silent and just stated. I show her the paperwork and she says that is printed way in advance... It was handwritten. We took a site in the old section, far from the other 10 trailers we are friends with. I know none of us will come back, but what does a corporate giant like SUN care. It is a shame, these resorts were all great prior to SUN purchasing them. read more

Ive played the ARCADE AND we scanned the tickets and it stated 1800 points. Thereafter At the prize counter, they lied about my tiCKETS and says nope 400 you only have 400. RV REVIEW: To be honest, I was a little nervous about our reservations to Frontier Town after reading some really horrendous reviews, but it had been recommended by friends and it's pet friendly, so we gave it a shot. We stayed in an RV provided by the resort. I was very pleased with the size, the cleanliness, and the location. We were all the way at the farthest end from the entrance and right on the water. There were many, MANY cabins that were not near the water, but I do not think that I would enjoy them nearly as much as being able to open my door to see the sun rising over the water. Gorgeous! Our RV had a master bedroom and a four person bunk room. The kitchen was suitably stocked pots, pans, dishes, and silverware. The bathroom was what one would expect- tiny but serviceable. What could be improved upon: While I did enjoy the RV and it was clean, it was a shabby. A little updating would be nice. I have been at other RV resorts that provide a small deck with a table and chairs outside, while this resort has a patch of dirt and a picnic table outside. I was surprised at how much I missed that little outside space. The biggest complaint that I have is the incredibly hard master bedroom mattress. It's just a step above sleeping on the floor. I will definitely bring my own mattress pad or camping pad next time. If you have any back pain at all, ever, be very careful. All in all, I would stay here again, but I'll be better prepared for my comfort next time, both for the outdoor space and for sleeping. read more

My friend invited me to stay with her while she was camping. I had the opportunity to stay at Frontier Town Campground located in Berlin, Maryland. I was treated great. This was my first time visiting this lovely campground. The personnel were all so friendly. All the activities they provided were great. The bingo caller Mary did a great job. She was very nice and kept the games fun and exciting. The facilities were very clean. It seemed as if they went above and beyond to make sure the bathrooms were clean at all times. I was looking for some Kcups for our coffee machine. I stopped an employee, Jennifer to ask her where I could get the Kcups. This young lady went out of her way to give me enough Kcups for the rest of the week. I tried to pay her for the Kcups but she would not take any money. She was extremely nice and very caring. I believe she is a manager. I will return to Frontier Town Campground again. The location is perfect. Thank you Mary, Jennifer, and the rest of the staff for making my stay relaxing and fun. read more

Violators of Freedom Of Speech & Property Rights. To all fellow American RV Traveling Trump Supporters I highly recommend avoiding Sunset Owned Properties. We had a horrible experience at Frontier town where we were asked to remove our Trump flags we were flying on our flag pole attached to our RV. The man that worked for the RV park was a retired Marine Veteran and he did not have to speak a word but I could tell it broke his heart to have to ask me to take down my Trump Flags I was flying. I thanked him for his service and removed the flags cause I did not want to cause an issue for him. This I believe is a violation of property rights for one the flag poles people fly there flags from are attached to there RV which is there property and are considered there home by law. Also it is a breach of freedom of speech I don't go making people take down there woke flags or gay pride flags or any flag for that matter but please keep in mind American flags are allowed but that's there business I just ask to be treated with the same respect. Also the American Flag is allowed but we all know that may offend some people as well! This is so wrong! this is America and if you are offended by any Gay, Furbi or whatever is the latest in this day and age then you are not an American and should just get the hell out of the the country let people be! Also I believe this violates land property rights because when you rent a RV site that becomes your property for the time you rented the site. This was my fourth visit to Frontier Town my first time back under its new ownership and I can honestly tell you that my family nor many of my friends families shall not return unless they respect the rule of law in our great country of ours. I first visited Frontiertown 25 years ago, and fell in love with camping. I Purchased my first camper and decided to keep it at Frontiertown so that my family and I can enjoy camping there all season. We enjoyed fishing from the pier, playing candy bar bingo and made numerous family memories throughout the years. This last past season 2023 has become a true nightmare. June, was the last memorable vacation we had there. after that it went downhill out of control very fast. When we arrived for our August vacation, it was actually on my birthday, and supposed to be our last hurrah of the season due to my husband, who is a disabled veteran going for a second back surgery and the kids going back to school. we arrive at the campground to set up, noticed that my living room slide window was broken. I went to the office to see if they had any info regarding what had happened. They said" oh yeah site T-18... someone was supposed to call you. They tried telling me that maybe a bird might have flown in the window. I did have an employee from Frontiertown telling me that a stone from weed whacking hit the window and broke it still the Campground does not want to take any responsibility for the window being broken. Had to file a complaint with corporate and still got no response from their legal team at Taft law. Although, I was comped a small gift card to dinner it didn't help the situation of my broken window and that we live over 4 hours away. Trying to find a RV repair company to come to the storage lot to repair the broken window has been horrific in itself. Needless to say my window is still broken. With the 2023 camping season coming to an end this past Saturday, i took the 4 1/2 hour ride to check on the window to make sure it was still sealed the best I could before winter set in. When I arrived at the storage lot which is owned by Frontier and I pay $75 a month to keep my camper there, I open my camper door and noticed that it has been vandalized. I flagged down a maintenance guy who is pulling in another camper and had him radio the office. I also texted the manager to let her know that I have an issue over in the storage lot. although they came right over, they had nothing to say other than I don't know what to tell you. I said somebody has been sleeping in my camper and completely destroyed the inside of it. My refrigerator door was busted off. The locks to the outside of my camper was broken every drawer and cabinet was open, there were burns that melted from a cigarette in my inside my sink in the kitchen as well as paper towels and toilet paper in my toilet, tv screen busted. They had no compassion no empathy just nothing called Marilyn state troopers and files at an incident report and I'm still waiting for corporate to call me back after now. It's been four days since the incident. no help from the staff whatsoever. It is truly heart wrenching that I paid a fortune staying at this campground over 25 years and treated the way we were treated. Needless to say I had to pull my camper back home and never will return nor will refer any friends or family from staying there ever again this is truly been the worst experience of my life and the Campground does not want to do anything regarding the issue so campers beware if you keep your camper in their storage lot please go and check it and make sure that your camper wasn't vandalized as well. I will be taking matters and bringing this before a judge in claims court. This is utterly ridiculous that the Campground wants to hold me responsible. They say that that lot is patrolled 24/7, which it is not. read more

BEWARE - READ IF YOU PLAN ON FALL CAMPING! This was originally posted during our camping trip in Nov '18. I would never want a family with children to experience this so I am reposting WITH VIDEOS! The resort is nice. It is a great location. The office staff registering guests were polite & friendly. The Property Manager wasn't very helpful. I gave them a 1 star rating because of the management's inability to enforce basic campground etiquette. if you are fall camping make sure you call first to see if any rowdy groups will be here - like 3 of University of Delaware's college fraternity's. I wish prior to coming or when we checked in we would have been told this was a FRAT WEEKEND here and we would be on FRAT ROW. I would have asked to move to a different location or cancelled BEFORE we settled in and set up. ALL 38 of the cabins were rented to college fraternity's WHO ARE HERE TO PARTY. At 2:00am there was still at least 5 cabins surrounding us blasting music from their cabin parties, screaming, & slamming cabin doors. UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE THEY REPRESENT YOU! On their 5th hour of blasting music (little after 1:00am) I walked to security and asked for assistance. Their security guard was extremely nice and went right over to the cabin but they just didn't care. As soon as he left the music went back up probably louder than before. They had so many people packed in the cabin I am surprised they didn't fall through the floor. At 4:00am the partying and screaming finally settled down. So if you are looking for wild parties, drunk college kids, open sex happing behind cabins, golf cart accidents, or witness a knife throwing contest then this is your place! We ended up cutting our last camping trip of the season short and left less than 24 hours into our 4 day trip, we spent eight hours driving. During our entire stay the University of DE kids were walking through our campsite to get between cabins and throwing cups and cans on the ground, so prior to leaving we stopped in the office to let them know we were leaving. After a third conversation with the manager I came to the conclusion they just didn't care. He told me there was nothing he could do except move us. After e-mailing & posting this review, below was the response we received. Dear ---- Family, I want to personally apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused your family. Upon arrival we did let family's know that there were college students staying with us. I also spoke with --- on Friday evening that we were willing to move your camper to a different location away from the students. Also from what I understand we also offered on Saturday morning. With that being said, we will make sure to notify anyone in the future of any large groups staying with us. Once again, we sincerely apologize. The worst. Do yourself a favor and camp at a Jellystone Campground. I have camped at many campgrounds and this is by far the worst one. Let me start by saying that I knew this was holiday weekend so I was expecting some craziness. We rented a cabin for 2 nights for about $470 a night. When we got there one of our lovely neighbors were blasting WAP (yes the Wet A$$ Pu$&y song). If I didn't have my 8 and 3 year old I wouldn't of care but I thought this was a family camp ground. 7/8 pm one of our other neighbors start BLASTING music with the "n word" and Biggie Smalls rapping about dick s%^king and f&@king b^$tches. Not just one song but a whole colorful playlist that went on for an hour. Real nice because it was obvious we had small children. I had to sit inside with my kids for an hour until security came. Our other neighbors were not much better. Between the cursing and setting off big fireworks (not like a street variety pack from Wally World) next to the cabin. Like they couldn't go down to the water and do it? Fireworks were being set off until 2:30 am. The wifi didn't work and got told that the owner has the cheapest service. (For almost $500 a night, I would expected something). Microwave had food in it from the previous camper and the floors were filthy when we arrived. Will not be returning. read more

My family and I stayed here this past weekend. We ended up renting a camper for the first time. When we arrived it was a super fast check in and was not hard to locate the camper. Decent parking spaces for unloading and close to the camper. When we walked into the camper the ac was already on and at a nice temperature. Everything was clean and tidy. Some things left behind but mostly unloooked by the other camper prior. No biggie! Nice and spacious for the master room and the bunk bed room is what was expected. Outside was very clean around camper. No issues came about while we were there. Family and I had a great time! Water park was a hit and the adult drinks in buckets were perfect Only thing I think that needs to be taken care of is the trash that was floating in the water by the piers. All and all very great experience this summer! Definitely will be back! read more

We spent another wonderful week here with our family. The grandchildren, 5 and 7, had so much fun, and there was so much to do we didn't do it all! And while the sites are very tight and right on top of each other (with everyone having at least 1 car or truck, it's even harder to get around and feels like a parking lot at times) our spot this year was better than the previous year as we were at the fringe end of the campground and didn't have anyone in back of us. The campground is kept very clean, the staff is friendly if hard to get on the phone. During the summer, it's almost impossible! I tried for 2 weeks to get in contact with them to check something on our reservation both by phone and email and never did get a hold of anyone. Luckily, it was all ok when we checked in. The pool is really nice and clean. The docks by the water are nice to walk near and for the second year in a row we ran out of time before we could go crabbing/fishing. We checked out the Wild West show and while hookey, the kids loved it. Two changes, one small, one not, would make a definite improvement. They put in a beautiful new playground for the children with different and safe activities. But they need to add some benches for the adults! Most kids go to the playground accompanied by an adult or two and we like to sit and watch! A bench or two in the shade would be most welcome. Secondly, and this is much more important - THEY NEED TO RECYCLE!! I can't believe they don't do this. With the amount of trash that is generated with over 500 sites (both tent and RV) that's alot of trash! And throwing our recycle into the garbage was very upsetting! Every campground should have a recycling bin available for campers, whether large or small. And Frontier Town is definitely not small. I highly suggest they do something about this in the future. The water ride park is small but really nice. Just big enough for a few hours of water fun. The crowds overwhelmed the small refreshment stand and the lines were long. Lockers were pretty insufficient as well. And the internet service in the park was slow much of the time. But this is NOT a negative review and I gave it 4 stars (not 5 because of the above) because we had such a wonderful time. It's hard to get spots for the following year even with a year lead time and I was told there was only ONE spot available for a year from this August when we plan to return. They are building out 100 new sites, some or all will be pull- throughs which works for us. Maybe this will open up availability some. We look forward to coming again next year and have started a new family tradition here. All in all, it's a great time at Frontier Town and the Ocean City beach, boardwalk and other activities that are close by. See you in 2020! read more

This is a great place for people of all ages! The water park, the playground, the activities, being able to ride bikes around the campground. It's a 5 minute drive to Assategue state park and beach. The ice cream parlor, arcade, and mini golf are also amazing! The shows are also great. Everyone here is also very friendly. I recommend coming here! read more

This is good for tourist. BUT your kids will be bored in 10 mins flat. If you're coming when the rush is down it's okay. If you have kids but don't expect the same amount of entertainment as Jolly Rogers & with the $30 entrance fee it's gonna be a pricey day for not that great of entertainment. Um....well. I have written glowing reviews of Frontiertown in the past....my sister and I were so excited to finally be able to camp again, and to be visiting out favorite campgound. We arrived with our 13 foot Scamp travel trailer on Tuesday May 26 for a two night stay on site Z15. We had planned ahead and made arrangements to take every precaution and had no plans to be in any crowds. "Taking every precaution" primarily meant beibg preparedto use the bathouses on site since our Scamp has no bathroom. We were armed with disinfectant wipes & spray, masks and gloves. Our site was lovely as are all the sites in Z lane, and our arrival visit to the bathouse was satisfactory. It appeared to be clean, there were hands free soap dispensers and hand dryers. We were, however, soon disappointed when we never saw any evidence of regular cleaning during our two night stay. The same piece of used Kleenex lay on the floor near the entry door the entire time, some toilets showed clear evidence of zero routine cleaning, and all of the touch free soap dispensers were out of soap on Wednesday morning....never to be refilled. As I noted, we came prepared and sanitized our own areas. Still, after the letters and information from Sun Resorts with glowing descriptions of the extra steps being taken to sanitize public areas, it was a bitter disappointment to discover this was not the case. Even the grounds were scattered with litter which was not picked up...food wrappers, take out cups, and small litter. WiFi never would work on site, and we have never experienced and issue in that area on prior visits. This is NOT the standard we are accustomed to at Sun Resorts. I understand these are challenging times for businesses as they struggle to reopen....we will be visiting again in two weeks, reservations alreeady made, and I am hoping to see measurable improvement in the cleanliness and sanitation departments. read more

Very disappointed to arrive for a two day late Memorial Day Weekend stay to find that the water park closed for renovations on Tuesday. Appears to have been open Monday, as we saw lifeguards walking back (and were told by the gate attendant that the water park would be open at 10 on Tuesday). This is something that should have been communicated to guests before arrival, as half of the attraction of this place is the on-site water park. (Or, perhaps, on our arrival yesterday afternoon). Front desk staff tells us that they found out "yesterday" that the park would be closed today. Hard to believe that is true given the number of construction workers in the parking lot. Again, bizarre that staff would not have said something about this at check-in on Monday. We have two very disappointed toddlers today. read more

I am trying to get a hold of someone from this resort and the phone just keeps ringing. This is terrible customer service. The information on the website shows they are closed?!? Its 10/14/2020 2:16pm in the afternoon and they are closed?!?! FORGET about getting anyone on the phone, their phone service goes straight to hanging up on you. I have several families that want to go camping. We are taking the necessary precaution of keeping our distance but we want to camp. I guess we will call Yogi Bear or KOA Chincoteague, at least they answer their phone. Their website is archaic as well, there is no way to reach anyone that way either? Seriously if you want to stay relevant Frontier Town you have to communicate. read more

Trying to be as fair as possible here. The campground seemed well maintained and the stores were well stocked. In general, the staff were nice and helpful. The water park was a major selling point to us staying there however, they let way too many people in. The average wait time was at least 45 minutes for the larger water slides (only 3). The lazy river was so jammed you couldn't move and there were no rafts left. Couldn't find a chair to sit in and the bathrooms were gross. Food was reasonably priced and good but the line was 45 minutes. Thank god we had bikes because there wasn't a parking spot to be found. For what they charge per night for a camp site (crammed in like sardines) the water park should limit the number of non campers they let in. Laundry area was gross. Most of the dryers didn't work and no change machine. The change machine in the arcade next door was out of service. The arcade was a total rip off. The tickets you won could be exchanged for stuff that looked like was used and came from a yard sale. The feeling of being nickel and dimed was also annoying. You have to pay to go into the area with the stores and show (12 bucks a person) seemed a bit steep. 30 bucks for one zip line trip per person is also pricy. Golf carts everywhere crammed with tons of people and kids (and animals). This was a major problem getting in and out. And there are signs about having to have a valid drivers license to drive one but that wasn't enforced at all. Teens whipping around blaring music on golf carts at all hours. The camper next to us got robbed Thursday night. They took his Yeti cooler. There were teens who appeared to be casing our camp site (we had 3 Trek bikes) and I did ask them why they were on our camp site as I caught them as I was walking back from the bathroom. After that, we put the bikes in the camper at night which was annoying but better than being robbed. The biggest complaint was we were forced to move because a regular wanted our spot. It was partly our fault because we extended our stay but the front desk lady told me we had to move because someone else was coming in. What really happened is the guy next to us moved over to our spot (he was a regular who seemed to know the staff) and his old spot remained empty until we left. So, they lied. We also asked to extend until Saturday and were told twice (two different occasions both my husband and I and the 13 year old overheard both times so it was clear we didn't misunderstand) we were good through Saturday but then the guy on the golf cart came by Friday morning and told us we had to go (to accommodate the guy who seemed to know the staff). read more

We love it here and try to come at least twice a year. Summer rates are pricey but it gives you free access to the newly revamped water park which is totally worth it if you have young children. We now try to stay in the newer sections as the sites are nicer and less dusty but anywhere really works. read more

I remember going on family vacations here as a kid, and this weekend was my first time back in quite a long time. Before my husband and I hit the beach we decided to spend a few hours here in the lazy river. You don't have to be a guest at the campground to have access to their water park. It is 20.00 a person. Plus you can rent a locker for $5 plus a $20 cash deposit you get back once you return the keys. First off, this place is BUSY which didn't bother me much because I knew going into it that it would be..it was a beautiful Friday afternoon so I knew it was going to be crowded. The lazy river is probably the most "adult" type thing they have. They have a small poor area for kids, two water slides and then the lazy river. We were debating getting alcoholic drinks to take in with us but I'm glad we didn't. Overall once you manage to grab a tube and get settled in, it really is amazing and relaxing. Of course there were a ton of kids that wanted to splash and bump into everyone but there are at least 4 life guards stationed throughout that manage to keep them under control for the most part. Of course if you're in a water park you can expect to have some rowdy kids running around, that's just life! I was impressed at how diligent the staff was here, there were multiple incidents that we noticed and each time the staff handled it and kept it moving. Frontier Town has bo good and bad points. The water park is great for families and the ice cream parlor and camp store are worth visiting. However, they do not enforce rules about underage drivers of golf carts, allow kids to race around on bikes after dark with no lights and pretty much ignored the "quiet time" rules. The camp sites are small and the roads tend to be narrow, so getting into your site can be problematic. All in all, I doubt we will be going back. read more

This was our second trip to Frontiertown. I have camped from New York to Florida, and I have never been to a campground with more amenities. These include a free waterpark, a marina, docks, a nice pool. In addition, the camp offers discounts to their ropes course, wild west show and mini-golf. Sites are spacious and vary from sunny to full shade. The store is well stocked, even selling alcoholic beverages. If I could give them six stars I would. read more

We stayed August 30th - September 2nd, 2018. This is a hard review because it was well maintained and had lots to due however had way too many kids running around for us which IS NOT the campgrounds fault. If you have kids traveling with you I would highly recommend this campground. The sites were very close to each other and it was very crowded. It was difficult to even drive in and out each day because so many kids in the road that didn't move out of the road. Again, this is not the campgrounds fault at all. There were paved sidewalks/trails to keep everyone off the road however most people didn't use them. They had a wagon with fresh produce to purchase which was great! This review is only for the Western part. They have a camp and water park that I didn't go into so I can't speak to that. Good place to take kids if you're looking for something to do instead of sitting on the beach. Set up for the Wild West. The workers were friendly and helpful. The shows are fun to watch. Few things to be aware of: The gun shots can be very loud so warn your kids ahead of time. Also, they will say they are wheelchair accessible but they are NOT! I called to specifically ask this question as we were bringing my 88 year old grandma. I was assured we would have no problem with the wheelchair. We arrived and all of the buildings have ramps but they failed to tell us about the few hundred yards of SAND to get there. Bring money with you. Spent a very enjoyable day with the family here last summer- so much so that we plan to return for a few days of camping and fun this upcoming summer. We spent the early part of the day enjoying the Western themed park. The can can show was hysterical. The train ride was fun for all ages. We got a kick out of the animals that roam the grounds as well. Our favorite part was the pow wow, which is staffed by a Native American family that has been involved with Frontier Town for three generations. Their presentation was really beautiful. In the late afternoon/early evening we headed over to the other side of the park and hit the waterpark. It was nice that they had waterslides that my toddler could actually enjoy... I thought they were fun too! I also got a kick out of their larger waterslides as well. My older daughter just loved the lazy river. We finished up the day at the mini golf course which is very nicely landscaped. Great day- lots of fun! This summer we plan to spend a few days camping there, playing and taking the short drive down the road to see the wild horses. read more

My family and I went to the water park yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. The park did not feel overcrowded and the lines were reasonable. There is a good balance of kid friendly but still fun for the adults water slides and activities. We didn't eat from the snack bar but we looked at prices and they were very reasonable from what we would expect at the beach but we very much appreciated being able to bring our own. The only "not so good" experience we had was the lady cleaning the bathroom was attempting to close them even before the park was officially closed forcing us to rush when trying to change before heading out to dinner. That did not make us feel very appreciated as customers. It was a five star experience in total but almost four, however, I don't fault the overall business for one person's actions. read more

We recently purchased an RV and were told we had to come to Frontier Town, so we made it our maiden voyage - and it didn't disappoint. The prices are reasonable, the staff is painfully friendly, and there's a ton of stuff for the kids to do. This will definitely be a frequent, regular destination for us. read more

This review is just for the water park. We are staying up the road at Fort Whaley, another Sun property, and they have a shuttle that stops here and free admission to the water park. They have a pretty good amount of rides, 3 large slides, 2 smaller slides, a lazy river, a toddler splash pad, and a wading pool with small water features for younger kids. On a side note, the water park is 98% staffed by teenagers. I had a question about the campground itself, and out of the 5 different people I asked, no one knew the answer, or offered to try to find out for me. I finally found some adult staff on my walk up to the campground entrance who were able to get me an answer. I had tried calling, however could not get through to anyone except the "Sun reservation call center". They told me I had to call the campground directly, and when I said I did, the lady just said "oh". We brought drinks and snacks (outside food and drink are allowed, no alcohol, no glass) but got pizza from the snack bar. Prices were not as expensive as major attractions. $12.50 for a whole pizza, $5.50 for a burger. They did have a stand that sells beer and cocktails. It did however take almost 45 minutes to get our pizza. They only have one pizza oven. It is only big enough for one pizza at a time, and they had to put each pizza through numerous times to get them cooked all the way. There were others waiting longer than me, they had ordered more than 1 pizza. Shaded seating was hard to find. We had to take chairs in the sun, then keep searching for some to open up. We got here at 11, an hour after they opened, and most of the chairs were occupied. Lines were typical 20-30 min wait, longer for the slides that required tubes to ride on. If you are coming from the Fort Whaley campground, drive yourself. It took 45 minutes on the shuttle to get here. There is a 3 hr wait in between pickup times heading back to Fort Whaley. read more

This was our second campsite visiting. The first one was in Virginia Beach. Anyways, we stayed 2 nights for $186 which was a little pricey but I understand it's peak season and there really is a lot to do here. I didn't have a problem with the bathrooms. Although you have to keep pressing the button for the shower to stay on it wasn't a big deal but for some people that see this as an issue it's a campsite. Go stay at a hotel if it's such a problem. You can fish here, take your boat or jet skis out to the water. The water park is free if you're staying here. There's a bus that takes you to and from the beach every half hour or so. As for the campsite, it was larger than expected for a tent which was good. We were able to cook on the grill rack and use it as a bonfire at night. Then you get that nice breeze from the ocean. Pets are allowed. Golf carts are available. However, kids 18 and under should not be allowed to drive it as we saw one kid crash into a guys truck..and he happened to be driving the golf cart again later on that night!?! There's also a camp store that has everything you can think of from beer to sleeping bags. They also have a little restaurant and an ice cream place right down the road. Quiet time is around 11. With so many people there it was surprisingly quiet and everyone kept to themselves so there was no issues. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us! read more
