My family and I went to the water park yesterday and really enjoyed ourselves. The park did not feel overcrowded and the lines were reasonable. There is a good balance of kid friendly but still fun for the adults water slides and activities. We didn't eat from the snack bar but we looked at prices and they were very reasonable from what we would expect at the beach but we very much appreciated being able to bring our own. The only "not so good" experience we had was the lady cleaning the bathroom was attempting to close them even before the park was officially closed forcing us to rush when trying to change before heading out to dinner. That did not make us feel very appreciated as customers. It was a five star experience in total but almost four, however, I don't fault the overall business for one person's actions. read more

We recently purchased an RV and were told we had to come to Frontier Town, so we made it our maiden voyage - and it didn't disappoint. The prices are reasonable, the staff is painfully friendly, and there's a ton of stuff for the kids to do. This will definitely be a frequent, regular destination for us. read more

This review is just for the water park. We are staying up the road at Fort Whaley, another Sun property, and they have a shuttle that stops here and free admission to the water park. They have a pretty good amount of rides, 3 large slides, 2 smaller slides, a lazy river, a toddler splash pad, and a wading pool with small water features for younger kids. On a side note, the water park is 98% staffed by teenagers. I had a question about the campground itself, and out of the 5 different people I asked, no one knew the answer, or offered to try to find out for me. I finally found some adult staff on my walk up to the campground entrance who were able to get me an answer. I had tried calling, however could not get through to anyone except the "Sun reservation call center". They told me I had to call the campground directly, and when I said I did, the lady just said "oh". We brought drinks and snacks (outside food and drink are allowed, no alcohol, no glass) but got pizza from the snack bar. Prices were not as expensive as major attractions. $12.50 for a whole pizza, $5.50 for a burger. They did have a stand that sells beer and cocktails. It did however take almost 45 minutes to get our pizza. They only have one pizza oven. It is only big enough for one pizza at a time, and they had to put each pizza through numerous times to get them cooked all the way. There were others waiting longer than me, they had ordered more than 1 pizza. Shaded seating was hard to find. We had to take chairs in the sun, then keep searching for some to open up. We got here at 11, an hour after they opened, and most of the chairs were occupied. Lines were typical 20-30 min wait, longer for the slides that required tubes to ride on. If you are coming from the Fort Whaley campground, drive yourself. It took 45 minutes on the shuttle to get here. There is a 3 hr wait in between pickup times heading back to Fort Whaley. read more

This was our second campsite visiting. The first one was in Virginia Beach. Anyways, we stayed 2 nights for $186 which was a little pricey but I understand it's peak season and there really is a lot to do here. I didn't have a problem with the bathrooms. Although you have to keep pressing the button for the shower to stay on it wasn't a big deal but for some people that see this as an issue it's a campsite. Go stay at a hotel if it's such a problem. You can fish here, take your boat or jet skis out to the water. The water park is free if you're staying here. There's a bus that takes you to and from the beach every half hour or so. As for the campsite, it was larger than expected for a tent which was good. We were able to cook on the grill rack and use it as a bonfire at night. Then you get that nice breeze from the ocean. Pets are allowed. Golf carts are available. However, kids 18 and under should not be allowed to drive it as we saw one kid crash into a guys truck..and he happened to be driving the golf cart again later on that night!?! There's also a camp store that has everything you can think of from beer to sleeping bags. They also have a little restaurant and an ice cream place right down the road. Quiet time is around 11. With so many people there it was surprisingly quiet and everyone kept to themselves so there was no issues. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us! read more

This used to be our favorite place. We have come here for years. They have now doubled the prices, the sites are not maintained, my 6yr old who has been going on the water slides since he was 3 was told he couldn't any longer because they changed the height requirements, we rented a cabana which used to have a mini fridge, large fan waitress for food and drinks for $80 (for the day) is now $99 NO mini fridge, no large fan (a small one at top of cabana that doesn't do shit) NO waitress for food and drinks just alcohol. Every night we got the pleasure of smelling weed everywhere we went even at our campsite. This place has gone to shit very disappointed, will no longer be back read more

I really, REALLY wish I'd looked at all the negative reviews before booking 3 nights here. All the negatives are absolutely true. I think the only positive reviews are either people who stayed here a long time ago OR the very people who are causing all the problems for everyone else. The sites are right on top of each other, yappy barking dogs everywhere, people smoking and drinking and loudly talking all hours of the night, huge smoky campfires all around long past midnight, golf carts speeding everywhere, trucks parked on the road so you can't even drive past, kids with absolutely no supervision riding recklessly all around vehicles trying to drive in and out, and EXTREMELY overpriced for an off-season stay. We paid for the cheapest RV site off-season and it was a crazy $250 for 3 nights. Bear in mind all the amenities were closed. They charged $16 a day extra for 2 of our 4 kids. The site is also dirty, covered in beer caps, and practically touching the RV behind us to fit. We have a small 26' camper but felt like we were sharing a site with 5 other campers around us it was so tight. We will never be back! We left a day early because it was such a horrible experience. It felt like we were in a trashy trailer park or homeless encampment. Don't expect to have any kind of a relaxing vacation here. We planned to spend all day every day in OCMD, but just coming back here temporarily once during the day and then again to sleep was agonizing. read more

This camp ground may seem a bit pricey, but it's got a lot going on, which is what your paying for. The bathrooms are cleaned at least 3 times a day which is nice considering the number of ppl using them. Compared to other campgrounds I have been to, these are by far the best. They also have warm, not hot showers, but they get the job done. Also included in your price is admissions to the water park and miniature golf course. I do wish to watpark had a regular pool for adult to just relax in, but I can deal with the kidy pool, 2 water slides and lazy river. They also have a bar in the pool area for adults to enjoy a drink. Another amazing thing they offer is shuttle's to and from not only Assateague island but Ocean City as well. The shuttle's are free for most of the day and in the late evenings they are $1. The campground also put on movies every evening and other fun activites throughout the day that the whole family can enjoy. There is also peir that is fun to take a walk to and watch ppl fishing and crabbing, or you could do the fishing and crabbing yourself. Other things the campground offers but we didn't get to take advantage of is the actual frontier town that you can enjoy western themed shows. They are very pet friendly and even have a dog park for your furry friend. The arcade area located in the gift shop looked like it could be fun for a rainy day and is right along side the ice cream shop. They also have a campstore with food, drinks, and other essentials that are reasonable priced. Book in advance to ensure your spot, it will be worth it! There's a lot about this place to love! The campgrounds are huge with diverse sites for RVs, tents, and decent-sized cabins, along with bike trails, a fishing pier, horses, an arcade, zip lines, and the new slides are a big update to the waterpark. The Wild West town costs extra, which doesn't make sense when you have to spend MORE money at the stores within it. However, a lot of things are included, like gun shows and a train ride. The drunks and inconsiderate teenagers on golf carts can get annoying too. Other than that, it's a great place with lots to see and do. Very kid-friendly with free shuttles to Ocean City. read more

I have been going to this campground for years with my family and have enjoyed every year. Everything you could need is right within the campground. Campsites are close together which allows you to get to know your neighbors well and meet new people. From the Waterpark, Western Theme Park, and to the back Bay Area, there is plenty to do at this Canpground. They even have an arcade, mini golf course, and Zip Line Advenure Park. Also if you need a quick bite to eat, the Lazy River Saloon or Camp Store will do just fine. All in all, this place has it all under wraps. Incredible place to take your family and especially for kids! The ONLY complaint I could truly think of, there is a set of golf carts that are the park patrol that ride around after dark to check out the playground and make sure kids aren't on bikes, scooters, etc. But... the park patrol either needs to be a little more strict or they just need different people to do it. There are always little kids running around in the middle of the street and riding bikes and what not, after dark which is against the rules of the Campground for safety reasons. I can understand that this is completely a parenting issue.. however, what is the purpose of the park patrol if nothing improves, they may as well not even exist because kids still ride around doing what ever they want, in the middle of the street especially at night in the dark. This has always been a problem for years that's never been fixed and still hasn't been fixed under the newer management Sun Rv. It would be nice if they could fix this but it doesn't look like any of that will be fixed any time soon. Very strange experience. Just came back. There are a lot of people who DON'T speak English working there and it makes asking questions extremely difficult. Then there was a situation with my son who is 11. He went into the store for ice and milk, I gave him a $20.00 and he came back with $11.00. I was shocked!! I went into the store and THEY COULDN'T CARE LESS....The woman said really snotty "what time did he come in"??? I'm not sure since I don't know where you keep the clocks!! I'm at a camp ground. so I told her "about 1 or 2 hours ago"...she said "we'll count out the regrister and see if we have it after closing"....REALLY??? I KNEW I JUST THREW AWAY $10.00....SO WATCH YOUR CHANGE... Then you have the workers screaming at the kids for being on their bikes after dark...NOT SPEAKING TO THEM YELLING,...... Oh an then the next day, my son again, went into the store and ordered breakfast, he was given the wrong order...I was there he said very nicely "this isn't what I ordered"...the nasty woman behind the counter said "you can say please"!!!! "How to drunkenly navigate a family-campground near the beach: On a budget!" My boyfriend and I were desperate to go to the beach; even just a weekend away would be enough to feed the craving, but with limited funds and time (re: working 20-somethings) we thought we'd have to start selling our hair or set up an adult-lemonade stand to get there (still a good idea). But, as it turns out, you can camp just a few miles away for only about $50 a night! With a $1 shuttle to and from the beach, this was the easiest, most cost-effective way for us to take a weekend trip from Pittsburgh to OCMD, dust off my dad's old tent, and finally break out that cheeky bikini i bought two years ago. BUT BE WARNED: This place is family af. I'm talking families with huge RVs, all the aunts, grandpas, kids, and tricycles you can imagine. Did I feel out of place chugging beers and taking shots in my tent? What about when we got dressed to go to dinner and I was struttin in some fierce boots and mini-dress? When my drunk boyfriend threw up outside the tent at 4am? No way! I'm on vacay. Worth every penny! read more

Campground is okay, not great. A lot of families here with teenagers that love to ride golf carts around all day/night long. Bathrooms are terrible, needed to be cleaned more frequently and staff needs to use cleaning products not just water. The bathroom nearest to the tent sites and pop-up campers closes for two hours during the middle of the night leaving those people to walk over to the bathrooms near the seasonal trailers and rv lots, doesn't make to much sense since most have there own bathrooms in their rv. The water park is lame. Went once for an hour, not much to do there (2 slides, 1 pool for toddlers , and 1 mini lazy river). The place is pretty sad, probably great in its heyday but is ready for a major overhaul. Beware MAJOR flooding in the tent and pop up camper section. The first right when you come into the camp ground you will see a small unassuming steam that will swell out of its banks with the slightest rainfall!!! Many people packed up there soaping wet gear and ended their vacation early with no refund do it this! !!!! read more

Located just outside Ocean City Maryland, Frontier Town is a great alternative to the traditional beach getaway. The water park is small but has a long lazy river with a long line of waterfalls under a tunnel. The water slides are high quality, the best being the ice like slide near the entrance that feels like snow tubing. They have miniature golf, zip line, as well as a camp ground. The best is the western theme park. Instead of amusement rides it features a replica western town where actors perform shows such as shootouts and bank robberies. Also Indians dancing from their culture. This is a place the young and young at heart will enjoy. read more

Lack of security, failure to enforce simple campground behavior and learning this was not a one time occurrence from another camper raIses a lot of questions. What a terrible experience, I read all the negative reviews and thought, it can't be that bad, boy was I wrong.. The line to get in took 35 minutes, which is what it is but try and keep a 2 and 3 year old occupied on line for that long.. The only saving grace was they were both free so it only cost me and my wife $26 to get in.. Now onto the "kids section" full of unattended children between the ages of 8-14 just absolutely trampling the little kids, pushing them off slides, diving head first down the slides, while all the little children can't go anywhere else under 42"... Needless to say we didn't last long.. One would think the lifeguards would enforce the rules but all they were concerned about was getting tan and showing off their muscles.. We decided to go to the "lazy river" well that was similar to a WWE royal rumble...People trying to get tubes, kids flipping their friends off tubes, people throwing tubes, it was an absolute joke.. So lastly we decided to have lunch before we left.. This was my final mistake I would make.. A bunch of sweaty filthy kids making awful food, wiping their sweat with bare hands, it was the final straw to a pretty terrible day.. Needless to say we will NEVER come back here.. If you're looking for a campground that has all the fun amenities of a resort, Frontier Town may be it. Of all the things I liked about Frontier Town, my top five must be: 1. Water slides, lazy river and general fun water stuff at their "water park" which is more or less, two slides, and a lazy river. 2. But they have a pool too! On the opposite side of the campground there's a pool with an active, on-duty lifeguard. 3. They let you rent golf carts to get around their expansive grounds. 4. Arcade at the very front of the campground next to the water park. 5. Zip lining! Some negatives would have to be the sparsest, tallest, least leafy trees I've ever seen. Other things to note would be relatively clean bathrooms and a well stocked general store! Yee-haw :) read more

It's been a year and we came back again to the area. We wound up back at the park. Man, this place is awesome for the price. Seriously. I can't say enough good things about it. Clean, safe, fun and an excellent price. My daughter is 7.5 and still loved it. She can ride everything. She's a little big for the children's pool but I tell her to be mindful of the younger kids and I keep and eye on her to make sure she doesn't get to crazy. Go here, you don't regret it. First part is the positive - the water park, though not huge, is quite nice and clean. Staff are pleasant and professional. The second part is for the ropes course which I am quite concerned about. Brought my family there and after seeing multiple safety concerns I left - which they did refund. The training was done by several bored teenagers who were barely paying attention. The instructions on proper use of equipment was lacking and area to train was small and backed up. My kids, who have done rock and rope climbing elsewhere, had a hard time with the equipment which was a style I've never seen before. The layout of the park was confusing with starting points not clearly labeled. My biggest concern was the long zip line that started up high and extended over a large section of the park. From being at the park only a few minutes I saw several people getting stuck on the zip line. The people were putting their hands ahead of the rollers (no!), they were not traveling to the end of the line and getting stuck, and staff were slow getting them off. The most concerning is that the staff at the top of the line would keep sending down people which caused several collisions! Not going to be coming back. read more

We have been camping here for almost 15 years. When Frontier town was sold to sun resorts we instantly saw a change and not for the better. Prices went up service and cleanliness went down and the issues with the hook ups grew. Golf carts were no longer readily available and working. For a lot of this we let it go because it had been a tradition for so long. However we decided to stay this year in a cabin something we had never done. For us to stay from 11/24-11/29 it was $1077. We show up to the campground now under a new management company blue water. The heat in the cabin did not work and the toilet seat had been ripped off. This in itself would be enough to make it frustrating but to look around the cabin was disgusting food stuck to the counter and filthy floors the the bathrooms had dirty sinks. As we finished cleaning and disinfecting the room they barely glance at the heater to tell me he can't fix it and we will need to move Okay no problem what are the odds you get a second dirty cabin well we did this one had urine and feces in the toilet as Wells and and dirt on the floor the stove was nasty the beds disgusting. I had to wash and dry everything off site including mattress covers because the laundry on site closes at 8 and after cleaning the second cabin I drive in town to wash and dry the linens because house keeping could not be bothered to get a mask and put it on which according to the office all employees are given. And I have a child who has health issues. The next day I drop the key off to our first cabin on my way to grab thanksgiving dinner we were told that was acceptable apparently not I was berated for not dropping it off late Wednesday night after cleaning 2 cabins unloading 2x and doing their laundry. My unhappiness was expressed and I was given not my problem but I was told we can refund last night to you whatever off I go determined not to let this ruin my vacation. I come back from the store to find out the heat in cabin 2 wasn't working it kept snapping off and on flashing error codes this went on the entire trip. The last night a maintenance guy came by and "fixed" it. We have decided that this will be our last trip. It is sad that the rates keep going up but the campground is deteriorating it is no longer a fun place to visit with all the reasons you take a family there. It is sad what these companies have allowed to happen to what was once an amazing and fun place to take your kids the staff no longer cares and the place is being let go. Next year the rates are going up and I am sure the service will go down again. Save your money go somewhere where you get what you pay for. read more

Our family camps here at least three times a year.Usually in May,July and Sept. We have a travel trailer that sleeps 8. We have a large extended family, so we also rented a deluxe cabin in May. The cabin was beautiful, fully equipped and slept 6. We always have a lot of fun at Frontier Town. The best part is I can bring my dog too. There are 2 dog parks.The location is awesome! Only 5 miles from Ocean City,Assateague, or Berlin,MD. They have a bus that goes to OC several times a day too, so you don't have to worry about parking when you want to go to the boardwalk. The campsites are lovely and there's a bay view and a fishing pier. The restrooms/showers are safe and clean. My whole family loves the lazy river and the pool. I can't believe I haven't reviewed Frontier Town yet! I fully feel that this place deserves 5 stars, and i haven't even taken advantage of everything they have to offer! I used to camp there every year as a kid growing up, but I went recently for an adult trip for the first time in years, and I had just as much fun as I did as a kid. I didn't partake in the water slide this time (though it appears unchanged; and trust me, that's a good thing! It's a blast!), but I did play mini golf, enjoy dinner at their restaurant and had a nice 3-night stay at a simple-but-perfect campsite. Check-in had a small line but it went smoothly and quickly. We received clear directions to our campsite and we were on our way. The camp store has been upgraded since my last visit, but it's still charming and has everything you'd need. Decent coffee as well! The staff is just as friendly as ever and we had very pleasant interactions throughout our stay. The restaurant had very fair prices and the food was really good! I had the crab dip and it was great! It was a nice first-night dinner when we didn't feel like going all the way to the city to grab a bite. The other campers were such a delight, I have no clue how this place always draws the most kind people. Everyone is so helpful and pleasant towards each other. The bathhouses are very well maintained and the grounds feel so safe to wander around in. I can't wait to come back next year! read more

Hands down the best family camp-ground I have ever been to. So many things to talk about. It's clean, the Mosquitos are not unbearable compared to other area campgrounds, the lot sizes are very generous, and if you know where to look, there are great spots that over look the bay. There is a mini-golf, water-park, multiple pools, arcade, and for a small cost there is admission to Frontier Town (a show about the Wild West that young kids will love). Great location, less then 10 minutes from ocmd will allow you to get just far enough from the craziness of the strip. Or better yet, go to Assateague, which is a less crowded beach with better shower facilities. Take your family here, you won't regret it! read more

We love this resort! The campground is very nice, usually very busy with lots of activity. Nice lots, playground is very nice, large pavilion with many activities scheduled every day, boat dock, fishing docks, small fruit stand to buy local fruit, campstore that has everything you need! If you are a camper the water park is included at the front of the resort which is very nice! Lazy river, several water slides, kids pool area. It can get really crowded on the weekends or during a holiday. They also have a arcade and an ice cream shop. There is also a Wild West show, very very fun! I booked here because I thought it was another OC campground, but was glad I did. This is probably one of the best and friendliest campgrounds I've ever been to. We traveled in a travel trailer so we needed all the hookups. I was surprised that they even had an opening for a two night reservation (all the hotels had a min of 3 day stay during the event) with Cruise 2016 going on. But once I got there and saw how vast the park was I understood. A few days before our stay we were offered a pony express check in service which we used. It allows you to pull right up, tell the attendant your name and they have everything ready for you. No wait, lines, or need to get out of the car. I recommend this service for anyone traveling with rv in tow. The park itself, aside from being large, was laid out nicely and had a lot of amenities and things to do. At the front entrance is a huge water park (not sure if that is included in reservation price but was closed due to our pre-Memorial day stay), a gift shop, rope/zipline course, arcade, general store, and restaurant. Moving further along we encountered a stable with horses and ponies and a bull. Not sure if they do shows or offer any kinds of pony rides but it was exciting for my granddaughter to see nevertheless. Further down the entrance is a series of buildings set up like a western town - a cantina to get grub, a general store, an ice cream shop...and let me tell you the selection was good! The general store was like a Walmart/souvenir/camp store all rolled into one! I saw things in there that I never found in other camp stores. The deli was equally impressive, as was the menu for what I'm assuming is the restaurant at the entrance. If you don't feel like grilling, or fighting traffic to venture out of the park for meals there is no need to. We unexpectedly had a problem with our rv water heater and were forced to use the bathhouse. Surprisingly it was very nice. We've been to some that are just awful! Aside from the size (and we saw at least two but there maybe more) the shower stalls were neatly tiled - in a tasteful way that reminds you of something you would have at your home, clean, and good sized. There was a dry changing area in the stall, hooks, and a bench, as well as a small trash can - no dirty band aids and used up Kotex pads here! On the negative you have to press the water nozzle in for water to come out. It is not on a timer. If you release it the water stops. It made washing my hair difficult and made washing an infant impossible. The bathhouse close every day from 3:15 AM (yes you read that right!) to 4:15 am daily. NO inconvenience here! Our campsite had all the necessary hookups as well as a picnic table, fire ring, and grate - something most sites don't. Navigating our camper into place was a bit of a challenge as the site across from us had more than the two vehicle limit but they kindly moved for us to work our way in. They also had a nice dog park, complete with climbing equipment for the dogs, several play areas, a pool, nice docks to fish or boat from, and a screened in pavilion. There were walking trails both heavily wooded, as well as a marsh area trail. Had the weather been nicer we would have loved to explore more. In fact it rained ALL WEEKEND long. Much more than a drizzle. So when I checked the activities calendar I was thrilled to find some things to get us out of our camper fever. A movie was played the one night but when we arrived 30 minutes late there were only three other people there. The next day was a sock hop dance which I expected to be a big draw only for us to be the only ones to show up. There was a DJ and everything! I felt bad that the management would go to such great lengths to provide cool entertainment for no one to show up! I will say that if there is a curfew I don't know of it. Campers were up out in the rain till late in the evening and clearly having a good time. We had wifi but discovered it on our own, and really were clueless about the trash policy - I wish they would have included information on these items in the welcome packet. There were also chartered fishing trips you could arrange from the park as well as kayak rentals. The rain also caused some water to pool throughout the campground - the tenters had motes around their sights so plan well if you are a tent camper. Everyone we encountered were super friendly and I'm excited to go back and check out one of the cabins! read more

Whoa was this a blast from the past. I can't remember how old I was when my family took a side tirip to Frontier Town but we just visited and it is a nice respite from the endless sun and sand of the beach. They have campgrounds, which were all full when I checked months in advance, but the main attraction may be the water park which is open to the public. $13.00/day buys you access to the lazy river, 3 slides and a nice zero entry kiddie pool. The food was pretty good and considering they have you locked in there, pretty cheap. My one complaint, the pool closes at 6 and so do the bathrooms. read more

I'll start with the positives: clean, safe, cute theme, well-stocked store Now negatives: 1) Way too stringent with so many rules like no bike riding at night. My kids love putting the glow sticks in their tires and turning their lights on and riding around. But they're not allowed and the park rangers will tell them to go park their bikes. The golf carts are not allowed to run after midnight. My friend was stopped while she was driving my 16 year old daughter to the bathroom and was told to not drive the cart but there was no way my 16 year old was walking to the bathroom late at night so hell with that rule. And then my 16 year old (with a driver's permit was driving the cart with me in it and we were stopped and given a warning. She didn't have a full-blown license, so she wasn't allowed to drive it. She is allowed to drive a motor vehicle at 60 miles an hour with me in it according to the law, but not a golf cart going 9 miles an hour. Ridiculous! And the condescending 'warning' where the park ranger wrote down my cart number and was speaking to me like he was a police officer was wretched. 2) Water park was SOOOOOOO crowded. Waited 35 minutes to go down one slide. And it closed at 6pm. Huh???? As campers, we should have special camper hours where it's just opened to us and not the public. 3) 3 out of 6 showers in the one bathhouse were broken. 4) Firewood literally would not burn. It was not dry and we ended up leaving the campground to buy firewood down the street. When we told them that the wood sucked they were just like, "Oh, it's what we get from our vendor." Oh well I guess, too bad for us. 5) Internet was practically nonexistent. If you want to check a work email or do anything online - forget it. It won't work no matter who your cell company is. It sucks. 6) You pay for everything extra. Want to make a birdhouse balsa wood craft? $10. Want to tie dye a tee shirt? $15. Want to paint a ceramic? $10. Want to watch the wild west show? $12 per person. Want to play mini golf? $4 per person. Zip line? $15 for one time....... 7) There was a sign in the camp store that on the day you play mini golf that you get a free ice cream (single dip) or you can go back and play mini golf again for free. The same sign was in the Ice Cream Creamery. I played mini golf on Sunday. I wasn't given my receipt so when I was leaving the golf range, I asked the attendant about the special. She was clueless. She was like, "I think that's over." I told her I just read the sign in the store. She dug through receipts and handed me someone else's receipt with that person's name and last four digits of her credit card and told me to use that. I went into the creamery and asked about the special, and she told me it was only Monday - Thursday. But the sign was right in front of me at the creamery and it was Sunday. I said it didn't say that on the sign. She ripped the sign off the ice cream window and said it was over. Later that day, when I went back to the camp store, the sign was still there. Well..... someone isn't communicating with staff about promos. 8) The ropes course was down for repairs. There was no notice on the website about it being inoperable. We tried to go through it and was told it was done for the season. That would have been nice to know before we got there. My family and I had a fun time, but man, there were alot of things that could have screwed it up. It was up to us to make it a great weekend because Frontier Town had alot of things going that could of screwed that up. read more

Frontier Town is pure 19th Century awesomeness and serious bang for the buck. Frontier Town as a whole offers camping, ropes courses, mini-golf, a water park, and western theme park (called The Wild West Show on their website). This review only addresses the theme park there. $15 gets you cowboy shoot-outs, Indian dances, horse riding stunt shows, Can Can dancers, bank holdups and jailbreaks, stagecoach, steam train, and paddle-boat rides in a Wild West frontier town. It's scheduled so that you don't have to choose, you can see them all with plenty of time to meander between happenings. The Indian dancers and Best of the West stunt show are not to be missed. Also don't forget to take a stagecoach ride (it's free once you're in the gate). read more

Water park was perfect for my family! A little on the small side but that's what I loved the most! I have a 7y and 4y old, plenty for them to do! We rented a cabana best idea and totally worth the money. I personally loved the water slides! read more

Very nice campground to go to if you have a dog since they are very dog friendly. They also had a lot of things for humans to do as well, like take a swim at the pool or go up to the water park and float around the lazy river or take a ride down the many tube and body slides. Overall very nice campground that I would 100% stay at again. Only downside was the spotty wifi which we were told they are taking care of for the next season which is awesome! read more

The frontier town staff saved my mom fail. My daughter is 4 and didn't even think about her being so scared of the guns and their loud noises. During the shows she either just covered her ears or if it was one of the gun fights we would just go to a different part of the park and do something else. (Visit the Native American village, pony rides, old mine, etc...) There was a train ride and coach ride that both get robbed by robbers with guns so my daughter wanted no parts of either of them and they actually toke us for a ride on both and called of the robbers so she could take the ride without having to be scared. Now when we went it was not super busy so the train ride won't always be able to be that accommodating (we were only on with another little boy that was scared of the guns too), but I really appreciated they went that extra step to make sure my child was still able to do things that otherwise she would have been scared of. I was also impressed with no matter what someone needed help with, even if it was not that employees job, they also made sure to help as best as possible or found someone that could. We love frontier town and have been coming for years with family. The park is still nice as well as the water park and pool. We are just so disappointed with what they did to the western town. The Texas Trick Riders are amazing but the place has totally lost its luster. The grass is overgrown where the Longhorns used to be. The shoes don't flow as they used to. There used to be so much character interaction with people we came to know from visiting over the years. And the greatest show of all, the cancan show, has totally been removed for some PC bull crap. Our kids loved that show. The dancers loved performing. Sun RV corporation has destroyed a family tradition that many people enjoyed for years. I don't even know if they can or care to fix what corporate has ruined but I really hope they do. We left the western park totally bummed. read more

My family decided to stay at Frontier Town because it was one of the few places where you could launch jetskis, however our overall experience wasn't great. The trailer we rented was okay with some minor issues but a major problem was a lack of hot water. We called the front desk for maintenance but only the park patrol officer came to check it. It was temporarily fixed but stopped working again. We decided to use one of the on site bathhouses but the one closest to our trailer was out of order. We had to walk to a further one and on the way there were harassed by a group of teenage boys on a golf cart. The bathhouse was okay but resembled a gym locker room. When we came back from the bathhouse we were harassed by the same group of boys again. This was distressing for us, being young women, so we decided to leave a night early. We are avid campers and have been going to Frontier Town for years and years! It's both kid and adult friendly. Staff are always pleasant and accommodating. RV park is clean and well maintained. This past weekend we tried out a new campground in the area for a change, needless to say we were highly disappointed (Treasure Beach, Selbyville, DE) in the experience we had and will be sticking to Frontier Town as our 'go-to' destination spot.
