Wow beyond Wow!!! This resort has really set the bar high. Great location and amenities. Each site has full hook ups, fire pits provided by the resort , spacious lot fits 2 vehicles. You have a playground , gated dog park, hiking trail , bistro on site, pools, Rec center and the staff is soo friendly!!!. I was amazed how many families came out for NYE and it never got too loud. It's located next to the San Antonio Winery which is a plus!!! . It's still near the city which is convenient if you need to shop or go eat dinner. The fact that we already made reservations for the end of the year says a lot and I haven't left yet !!!! read more

I took down my last review because of a reply by management. I am putting it back on. We have stayed here numerous times, a favorite place. It has changed dramatically. Restaurant and food service so bad. Unbelievable because they could draw upon all Paso for great food. We came here for years and had a Ranger Brian helping us with everything. No more. Update: Our issue with Cava rv forget resort has been resolved thanks to David Pulliam Guest customer supervisor for honoring our original reservations. I would have given a minus star. They are a scam. We had made reservations for our site 6 months ago and got the monthly rate. Now they are saying they no longer do a monthly rate. We were supposed to stay here for a month at $1,900 and we came here to check out our site and now they want to charge us $3,000 for 28 days. This place is empty and it is a scam. Our friends that are supposed to come here for 2 weeks to be with us have now canceled their reservation. Stay away from this place it is a scam. The park is just about empty. Even worse the customer service was horrible she didn't even care about our situation she didn't get a manager she was more interested in going back to the employee lounge for a pizza party. read more

Have been staying here the last three years! The first two years were amazing! We left today and will never be going back. They don't take cash or card any longer for the store you have to wear a qr scan band that is annoying where you have to hook up a credit card to. You also have to use it to get into the pool. We got into the pool and my husband went into the store bought pool toys to find out that we they were not allowed to play with them. So he went to go return them then said they can't return it... that was the first messed up thing. Then there was not enough shade umbrellas so the people next to us brought there own. They got told they were not allowed to used it. Called to have them to bring more and there is no signs saying you can't bring your own. They never brought them down. We had a new born with us that was burning because they never brought anymore shade down. That was there second mess up. Then we were watching our kids ride there bike at dusk and had a campfire on the dirt in front of our trailer someone stopped and said that we were not allowed to have the fire there and he would rather us have the fire on the grass instead.. just DUMB!!!! Then checking out told I was talking to a couple of there employees and I said your guys rules have gotten really strict there and two have them told me that they said they have to start enforcing them because the company told them that if they don't they will fire them all and just start completely new with a new staff! WE WILL NEVER stay at another sun outdoors sites ever again!! Not a way to run a business and obviously they are all about money and not caring for what there guest think and employees. The place is new and beautiful I would really love to go back. I went to a rally there with a group and many who attended were not treated very respectfully. One would think the management would check on things when your group brings in 26 rigs and almost 60 people - they really didn't seem to care if all was going well. And they really don't seem to want our business next year or in years to come. Seems the rainbow flags are offensive to them. I was going to plan a family trip there with my brother and sisters families. Looks like we will be goin elsewhere. Sad. read more

This RV Resort should be re-named HOLLY'S RV Resort. Holly; the gal at Cava Robles RV Resort Cafe.........Who knew??? She needs to be promoted!!!! We arrived early at Cava Robles; after hearing that we were not going to get the BIG ROOM we opted to have a drink and a bite to eat. We met a gal named Holly; she was so pleasant and hospitable. She asked us where we were from we told her our names and said we are doing our 1st Rally here at Cava. She smiled and welcomed us and told her I wasn't all that happy that we couldn't get the BIG Club room; I continued our conversation saying we were put in the Oak Room..........She apologized and said; "The Oak Room is a really nice room here at the Resort". I said yeah, but I was not able to go into the room due to us not having the room for the night...........She apologized again and said "you know its really slow tonight; why did you need to go into the room?" I said, "so I can arrange the tables for our group"........She then offerred to go into to the room and arrange the tables for us in the way I wanted it arranged. Next, morning I go into the room and voila' ; Holly arranged the tables exactly the way I wanted the tables to be arranged...........Wow! Totally unexpected, but totally appreciated for her exceptional gesture of Customer Service..........The only bright Star to this whole convoluted situation..........Holly gave us 5-star service; service that should be exemplified by your "Management" staff. I gave this review 1-star for Management; and 5-Star for "HOLLY" for the only "Bright-Star" to our whole experience at Cava Robles. read more

We RV'd with the Rainbow RV group who are clean, quiet, respectful folks toting first class rigs. Cava Robles should be lucky to have such guests but since they are not welcoming us again we will be spending our premium $$$$ elsewhere and will tell our friends to stay away. read more

My 17 year old son was driving the golf cart you only have to be 16 so we thought it was ok but the workers came to our camp site at 8 in the morning yelling at us saying there taking the golf cart even tho my son was 17 I do not recommend this place read more

Amazing time there at the end of August. Gorgeous property and staff was tip top. Especially when a week after getting home, I realized I left a pair of shoes under the bed of our cottage! Dang it! We enjoyed the actual resort and it was very clean but didn't appreciate how rude the gals at the front desk were on more than one occasion.

This is the perfect little campground with lots of room to explore. This was also my first visit, we were part of a large bridal party group and had rented out the majority of the chalets. I had a 2 bedroom in which the 2nd bed wasn't used til the last night and I didn't even check the room to make sure it was clean which I will be doing going forward anywhere but my guest found two pairs of crispy panties in the drawers that were left behind. I was so embarrassed. I was more frustrated since they say they have all these updated covid measures but apparently that room wasn't cleaned at all. We also went to the pool and we were there for quite sometime and they never once closed it like the packet says they do for maintenance cleaning every 1.5 hours for 30min. Upon checkout I brought it up and they gave me 10% refund of my stay. I would like to stay there again just hope when i do they actually have more follow thru with there covid guidelines. read more

Been comming here since they first opened and just recently started this wristband program which is total BS. First of all I went to front office to purchase a toothbrush and was told I could not purchase unless I registered my band I informed the guy that 2 hours earlier he had let me charge wood to my site . I told him I had my ID which my site was book on , but still would not allow me to charge to site or use of my card or cash .. I think the bands are not a safe way to purchase items last month a friend of mine showed me exactly why they are not safe to have on your wrist He took a picture of my waistband at the bar, ordered four drinks and presented a photo with the picture of my wristband to the bartender. She did not verify any ID and scanned it ,they need to come up with a different method. This is just a waste of time if you do get the band flip it over so the bar code is not visible to others . read more

We have stayed at the wine country resort and the Vine resort and now we are trying out the their new Cava resort all owned by sun resorts. They are all very nice resorts; however, Cava is to new to really enjoy. It will be a nice when trees mature. No shade what so ever. The rules here are interestingly strict. $25 early check in even 30 min early and $5 per car visiting. This has never been an issue with the Vine and Wine Canyon. I'm sure they all have the policy but they are very matter of fact at check in. Kinda puts you on edge a little. It's hilly, so to their pools and restaurants can be a small workout depending where you are located. It's back to the Vine or Wine Canyon. Update: After staying the 2 nights, I've upgraded to 4 stars. The nights were just beautiful, and found the sitting areas to be relaxing. It wasn't so bad after all. read more

We have stayed here numerous times and the park and facilities are very nice. Now for the 2 star rating. We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend which was completely sold out. We found out The Bistro still has limited hours 11-7 (even though the website states Fri-Sun 8-7, so no breakfast) staffed with only one person who was also training someone that was basically shadowing and could only pour a few draft beers/sodas and was not able to make cocktails. The Bistro is always busy since it's by the pool which is always packed on weekends. Saturday the CO2 for the draft beers ran out. Sunday still no draft beers and the canned beer soon ran out. Also food was running out. We left Monday morning so I don't know if it the situation got better or worse for the actual July 4th. What a sh#t show. Obviously very poorly managed and totally unacceptable! A lot of lost revenue and many unhappy campers for sure! This place is expensive and I don't mind if the amenities that you are essentially paying for are available. The negative reviews are mostly regarding the poor management and still nothing has been done to rectify this. Management, do not waste your time replying with an auto generated generic response which is laughable at this point. read more

Checked in for the first time today. Used our Nav on our RV. Took us into a gated neighborhood, somehow we managed to get locked in the neighborhood. Not good with a 45' class A motorhone. Had to unhook our tow vehicle to turn around. Beware using your Nav.........you must take Golden Hill Road off Highway 46. Not Burma Vista Great facility. Super new and very nice. We were hoping the ladies at the check in desk were that nice Nope! They seemed to be bothered by us when we told them about the navigation problem. They said almost rudely: "we've called the Nav company several times and they won't fix it" they also said "it was on your confirmation email..." which I did check and it was there.....last sentence not bold or separated......so my bad I guess. By the way, there were two other RV's wandering in the same gated neighborhood. So we weren't the only victims....... Love the facility. By the way: Brian, the gentleman that helped us back our rig into our spot was awesome 5 stars for him. Would've been 5 stars but the young ladies at the check in counter obviously didn't like their jobs. Take away one star. read more

My family and I recently visited Cava Robles RV Resort. My son rented RV parking, and I unfortunately rented the Tuscany Family Cabin, Boxcar, or Shed, whatever you want to call that inadequate, poorly equipped, uncomfortable shanty. No problem with the RV Space, it was great. The park is clean and well kept, but if you are looking to rent a cabin, this is not the place. My first experience was exasperating. I was barbecuing spare ribs, and the propane tank ran out of fuel. My son had an extra tank, but of course, the empty tank was chained and padlocked to the extra dirty BBQ, which I had to clean before use. I called the office, but of course they were closed. I would have finished them in the oven but there weren't any utensils, unless you want to count the 3 forks and spoons. No mixing bowls, nothing! I tried to use a revolting frypan, but that was a loser. You guessed it, the ribs went into the trash! So in closing, do yourself a favor, and avoid Cava Robles. If you complain to the management, they will give you a couple of cheap wine glasses to smooth your ruffled feathers, REALLY. That won't take the pain away from the $1200 + dollars you just got stuck up your Kazooo. Keep looking, this isn't the place. read more

Weekdays and weekends might as well be two totally different parks. Weekdays - pretty nice. Weekends - insanity. When talking to the GM, she came off as inexperienced to me. Her and the rest of the staff all seem to be around the same age - and it almost feels like she hired all her complacent friends who just don't want to be bothered. So I wouldn't expect good service or any form of an accommodating attitude. The grounds and amenities however are amazing. When the trees grow up this place will be over-the-top. I just hope ownership takes the resort's reputation seriously before it's too late, and puts key people in place who understand that they are in the hospitality industry. read more

This place is hands down the nicest RV Park we have ever stayed at! It's huge, clean, safe and beautiful. They have lots of individual bathroom/shower rooms. Lots of trees and great landscaping. You can rent golf carts and I recommend it because the place is big. There are quite a few tiny homes but we didn't see the insides of them. There was a taco truck there with great food. There's a rec room with lots to do a very nice pool and a mini golf course. The people working here are super friendly. I loved this place and will be back. read more

The resort is very clean and the RV spaces are very large. It appears very family friendly and lots of activity. There was one huge problem- there was no presence of security or staff to enforce quiet hours. We enjoy having fun too and hanging out....BUT 3 nights in a row of loud music. yelling and cheering until after midnight was too much. We were hesitant to say anything because you never know how people will react. So we are not sure if we will return...it's a bummer when other campers are allowed to ruin the experience for others. We ask Cava Robles management to be more present to ask campers at night to be more respectful of each other and enforce quiet hours. read more

August 2019 - Although this is a "BEAUTIFUL" RV Resort it seriously has major issues. "Understaffed is an Understatement" and it shows!! 1. The front office is closes at 5:00pm - we arrived at 5:08pm - not the end of the world but this is a large resort and a tutorial would have been appreciated 2. We reserved an Elite site and upon arrival I spent 10 minutes cleaning up the trash at our site 3. Each day there was a stench of sewer smell (and yes I checked it wasn't our RV and the smell was coming up wind) 4. Don't believe the on-site wine tasting - although it is true note it only happens on Friday evenings 5. Although the bar and restaurant are stunning - it was only open Thursday through Sunday 6. We couldn't access the interior amenities pool table etc - it was locked up due to a shortage of staff 7. Speaking of staff - the bartender Sunday evening was awesome as was the gentleman trying to do everything else 8. Even with so many things unavailable the nightly fees were not reduced 9. On our last day I went to the front office to purchase ice and found a man a woman working the man never acknowledged my presence and the woman only spoke when I asked how much the ice was Bottom line, this will be a awesome RV Resort "someday" but that day isn't now... Managment (I hope it wasn't the two in the front office) should explain that a simple good morning or hello goes a long way and that additional staff is "VITAL"!! Or, give your clients the benefit of a reduction in your nightly fees. read more

Let me start by saying this place is not all it says it is the gentleman that works at the front desk is very rude and negative the pools are disgusting they are supposed to shut the pools down for 1 hr for cleaning and maintenance they didn't even do that anymore depending what part of the park you are in the wind blows so hard you can't keep anything out side and it is way overpriced for what you get the WiFi never works the restrooms are dirty and all and all I will never go there again read more

We stayed at Cava Robles Sunday August 11, leaving Friday August 16. The resort is nice but the amenities were not available during the week. The Farmhouse Bistro and Bar were only open on the weekend. The wine tasting was not open. The pool was the only amenity open. We paid peak pricing even though we were not able to enjoy all of the amenities advertised. There were other campers we spoke with who also were unhappy. If the resort is going to only offer all the amenities on the weekend they should disclose this and also not charge peak prices during the week. We feel we paid for amenities we were not able to use. read more

Thank you to Hannah, who moved us into a larger Tuscany chateau so we had more room to enjoy our stay. Thank you, with so much gratitude, to Jennifer, The general manager of Sun Outdoors Paso Robles. We unfortunately had no hot water in our Château, and she went above and beyond to make sure that we could still enjoy our stay with offering some other creative options. Jennifer even comped our stay, and gave us an amazing golf cart to use for the whole week to get to the clubhouse for our showers. The premises were immaculate, the customer service was beyond phenomenal, and we felt very well taken care of and safe for our first visit to this beautiful RV resort. Darn it Cava you started out with such potential and now you're quickly falling fast. Like you were 5 stars when you first opened!! This was our favorite place to come but I have no idea what has happened in the last 6 - 8 months to it. The girls at the front desk, who are hired to provide customer service are like talking to a brick wall. They do not care about keeping customers happy, acknowledge issues or even crack a smile. They are like robots. The are so so so so lacking customer service training it's sad. Please Sun Resorts hire professionals for your front desk! Please please please..I am paying you good money, please provide me with a "can do" attitude person and a smile. My second issue is the lack of security. Our "neighbors" had their table top BBQ stolen in the middle of the night!! They think they were actually trying to steal their generators but found them locked so took the BBQ. What?? At a signature resort?? No security patrolling at night?? Where oh where is the security for the pool.??? The swimming pool is a lawsuit waiting to happen for the resort. Kids doing handstands into the pool, A family throwing a hard baseball to each other as little tiny kids float by. Adults shooting high power water guns at each other like they are at their backyard pool. And people getting wasted, ignoring their kids. I am more concerned for their kids safety then they are. The pool should be for everyone not just for the obnoxious families that seem to be taking over this once regular family friendly resort. Love the golf cart idea. Can be lots of fun and handy especially if you are staying down below. However the blatant lack of safety regulation enforcement is a danger to everyone there. We saw ALL SORTS of misuse going on it was mind boggling. Yes I wish the parents would parent their kids but unfortunately a lot do not. Sun Resorts get a handle on this before someone, no joke, dies. Sun Resort needs to step up and take responsibility by enforcing the regulations that THEY set in place so ALL families can have a nice time, PLEASE change things before it's to late and it turns into ghetto camping. read more

Checked out every bathroom/shower -- all were dirty with toilet paper all over the floor. We have stayed here 2 other times during the pandemic and bathroom/showers were always spotless. We are really disappointed as even last night when I went to take a shower every room was dirty. read more

There is NO SECURITY and NO ENFORCEMENT OF THE RULES! Sun Resorts has created a weekend party atmosphere with amplified music poolside and plenty of available alcohol (which we don't necessarily have a problem with but without security it's miserable. This past weekend there was very loud partying going on until 3:00 a.m. and got so bad we expected it to come to belligerent blows at any moment. Adults who appear drunk and rowdy are driving golf carts recklessly and kids are driving them wildly as well. Filing a complaint is useless as the staff is powerless. Corporate has created a weekend party environment without being able to control that what they have created - wake up before someone is really hurt and you have a lawsuit on your hands! It's too bad because Monday - Thursday is peaceful. The weekends are a completely different matter. read more

This place is unbelievable. Little kids are driving around in golf carts and almost hitting pedestrians. Staff are rude and abrasive when handling complaints. Pools were just filled with chemicals and drunk parents. Showers were grimey and hair filled. There was dog feces all around the campgrounds and there was loud music playing at around 1:30 am last night. I am in disbelief at the quality of this chaotic campground. I will not be coming back here as it is not kid-friendly for my children, extremely loud, and the staff are worse than your average teenager. read more

If I knew that this resort was just a place for people to come and dump their kids in golf carts and get drunk, I would not have reccomended this park to my close friends. Very unfriendly staff too. I walked around looking for the golf cart I had rented, only to find it missing. Then I walked in and told the staff, only to have them say that it was out there somewhere. After looking for 15 minutes, I finally asked the girl to look for it, only for her to find it missing, as I had. I am thoroughly dissapointed with my experience, and hope to find friendlier staff and a more tranquil atmosphere in the future. read more

Both our stays had to do with campers next to us with phrases containing FUCK or FUCK Flying high on their flags attached to their RVs. Not a great environment for families! read more

If you are looking for folks smoking cigarettes, drinking beers in the pool, and threatening to start fights in front of the kids look no further, this is the place. If it's a place for wine fans who are here to taste the wines and experience the Paso scene then look elsewhere. The place is nice in design, and the business plan seems to cater to the wine crowd but unfortunately the majority of people here seem to be rednecks who play loud country music, drink beer and vodka coolers to the point of bad behavior, and are here to party. There is little or no oversight of people's behavior by any staff. Too bad. Won't be back. Gave it a 2 star because the appearance was nice, just the experience was well below expectations. read more

After visiting this campground during the off-season we were excited to make plans for our June trip which we are in day two of five days. The campground is noisy, too many families showing up after the original rv is set up. There is loud noise after 10 pm with no security watching over the camp. There are large, heavy drinking crowds in many of the spaces. Safety regulations for golf cart use are not enforced, kids driving. Bike and scooter helmets not worn. The park is beautiful, but by allowing extra families with each space rental, the system is taxed. The pool is overcrowded, trucks going through the camp dropping children off, horn hocking and it's now 9:30 pm when I'm writing this review. I will admit I'm older but not that old. With the 330 sights available and the varied topography, institute a senior section or quiet zones for those that do not have kids. Stressing the next three days is not the answer for us. read more
