We had the most wonderful stay here. We got a king terrace room with privacy hedges, and a walkway to a beautiful sound garden and sculptures. The resort is absolutely amazing. There are statues everywhere there a vineyard in the back. You can walk around with a scotch garden at the top and architecture resembles Tuscany. On Friday they had some complementary wine tasting just a couple of wines and serenades in the lobby. Everything was spotless kept very clean with amazing attentive service. This place is located in Paso Robles close to many wineries for great wine tasting. The Priority Pass gives you 2 for 1 tastings at eight wineries in the area. There is a $52 resort fee. The swimming pool has a pool bar and a Jacuzzi they have an outdoor chess set and also a table tennis table, although it is hard to play outside in the wind. This is a luxury resort and I would definitely want to stay here again. read more

The Allegretto is truly a lovely piece of architecture. The owner has spent a lot of time ensuring a visual treat. He has curated an extensive collection of art and furniture for the resort. I believe what is missing here is that The Allegretto needs to be more conscious of " hotel management " techniques. For example , the rooms are dated and somber. On both of our trips the beds were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were " saggy ".The rooms need to be updated in color schemes and vibe. There are only 2 elevators for this massive sprawling resort... too much walking! We had to go to the front desk three times because there were no valet people out in front. Allegretto is an eclectic place, to say the least. All kinds of quasi-religious(?) objects maybe somehow involving Zodiac signs? I dunno, but it gets you out of your room to explore. At least it got me out of my room... which isn't easy to do. There is a maze and a spot with animals to visit with and feed and way, way more. My favorite is a small chapel(?) with more religious artifacts. I saw it late at night and went to look, expecting it to be locked... but the door opened... and music started playing! As a hotel, it's massive, with huge grounds, all spa services, wine tasting, sitting rooms, courtyard with fire pits, pool etc. And it is immaculately clean throughout. And every staff person we encountered was professional, friendly and competent. Our room was very cozy, with king size bed, comfortable appointments, and nice bathroom with huge shower. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Paso Robles. read more

Stumbled into Allegretto on a whim: was visiting Paso Robles and booked a wine tour. Within 30 minutes of arriving, knew I had to stay. The vision behind this place is truly inspiring and heartwarming. Built from the ground up around sustainability, human energy, and the balance between light and dark: allegretto, as a name, captures it perfectly. There are structures and masterpieces from six continents woven throughout the grounds, and as you walk through, you feel transported: one moment you're in Europe, the next in India, the next rooted right here in the American West. Astrology, art, intention, and the practice of living in the present moment are threaded through every corner. The wine selection has something for every palate. The tasting room mostly outdoors and so relaxing + beautiful, and the club membership is def worth it! What truly sold me were my wine tour hosts, Rosemary and Ryan. From the moment I walked in, they were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about this place. The spa was great too! Jackie and Denise were warm and I got an amazing facial. Started the morning with yoga in the chapel, which was serene and restorative in the best possible way. The restaurant, Cello, is also excellent. Renee and Devyn were kind & welcoming. Lisa and Ava at the front desk were gracious and warm every time I crossed their path. Also found the most thoughtful, reasonably priced gifts for my family at the wine tasting room: a rare bonus. Heard they're building a second pool that will include both a family pool and an adults-only pool too. A few small notes I'm sharing in the spirit of the brand itself: not as complaints, but as easy wins for mgmt. For a resort so deeply rooted in sustainability, plastic cups at the water stations felt out of place. Switching to paper would be a simple change with a meaningful impact. Similarly, the mats in the chapel were the Amazon brand, which didn't feel aligned with the intentionality of everything else here. And one logistical thing worth noting: a portion of the grounds was blocked off for a wedding the morning after I checked in (pic included) Had planned to wander early and would have really appreciated a heads up at booking so I could plan accordingly. None of this changes my overall experience or my enthusiasm for this place. Allegretto is one of those rare destinations that if the above aligns with what you enjoy, you will be transported. Allegretto turned out to be tranquil retreat to welcome the new year. I visited in late January with my boyfriend. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. It's a beautiful hotel with many European influences, as seen through the architecture and artwork. Our room was comfortable too and spacious. The robes and slippers were the cherry on top. The grounds are also very peaceful. The property is on a hill that offers breathtaking views of surrounding area, especially when you walk up the trail to visit the alpacas, llamas and goats ;) I also enjoyed the Star Garden Trail, which was a big draw for me given I'm into horoscope. Definitely make time to walk the trail, as well as the sonic labyrinth and all the art inside. The fire pits in the courtyard also made for nice evenings after dinner. I would love to come back to try their wine, food and pool! read more

This place is unreal. I have stayed at a number of vineyards. Some in California, some in other countries, and they all have something appealing about them. But Allegretto stands out. The staff is absolutely amazing! And this goes far above what you'd expect for 'hospitality'. The room I had was amazing. I wish I could have spent more time in it during during the week I stayed but I was there for business and work called, lol. I did have a chance to walk the grounds and it was mind blowing. There is artwork from all over. And even though it varies it doesn't seem like it's just thrown together. Theres intent and purpose to how and where it's displayed. And then there are displays around the property that tie into zodiac signs. There are animals you can feed. Even the stray vineyard cats have food set out for them in different areas. Allegretto Vineyard Resort, in Paso Robles - A Great Stay, A Few Quibbles We chose the Allegretto Vineyard Resort in Paso Robles to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel has a wonderful atmosphere, and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our visit. The upscale setting and attention to detail made it a special place to celebrate an occasion. We particularly enjoyed the unique Star Garden Trail which allowed us to wander through the vineyards and stop at the twelve stations of the Zodiac. There were, however, a few things that could have been better. Our room had not been made up by 2:30 PM, so we had to call housekeeping to request service. At a hotel of this caliber, we would expect the room to be serviced without having to make a request, particularly when we were away for much of the day. The pool area was another minor issue. One guest was on his cell phone for more than an hour and spoke loudly and was totally unaware enough that it became disruptive to those around him. Perhaps the hotel could consider posting signage to restrict cell phone conversations in the pool area or at least encourage guests to keep calls brief and quiet. A pool should be a relaxing environment for everyone. We were also surprised to see a $20 a day fee for charging our EV. Given the upscale nature of the hotel, we believe providing complimentary EV charging would seem like a relatively small amenity that could enhance the overall guest experience. We were also disappointed that the only way to sample the hotel's wine selection was through a formal tasting. The hotel has an impressive wine program, but we would have enjoyed a more casual way to explore the wines. A small wine bar offering wines by the glass, perhaps accompanied by a selection of appetizers or small plates, could be an excellent addition -- and might actually encourage guests to purchase and enjoy more of the hotel's wines. Overall, we enjoyed our anniversary stay and appreciated the excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and welcoming staff. With a few relatively minor changes, this could be an even more exceptional experience. On our "Tommy B Resort" scale, ranging from A for outstanding to F for don't bother, this one lands comfortably in the B+ range--with plenty to like and a few things that could be better. read more

The only drawback was that there are not many chairs available at the pool, so good luck using it on a hot or busy day. We were there on a quiet day and could only get a table by the little take out window - all lounge chairs were taken or saved (covered with towels). read more

We stopped in yesterday Oct 19, 2025 for one drink and to walk around and look at the statues and architecture of the beautiful hotel. It's fantastic. However service in the main restaurant bar with 2 bar tenders and only a few guests was really slow. Then the young guy broke my champagne glass adjacent to the ice bin that was open and didn't remove DLL the ice for safety. It just took forever to get drinks. Mixed drinks are expensive but yo Recurded I guess. My sparkling wine was not overpriced. The grounds and beautiful resort are lovely to explore. The hotel is very unique as it houses all kinds of collectibles from around the world. The atmosphere is so relaxing and Zen. The food at the restaurant is well prepared and delicious. The tasting room and the wines are exceptional.It is a great venue for special occasions. Not to mention the beautiful vineyard that is a part of the hotel. They have many alpacas as residents of the property where the hotel does provide special pellets to feed them if you wish to do so. We highly recommend this One of a Kind hotel. Allegretto Resort is when you combine an Italian villa, castle, art museum, astro-physical creative space and vineyard into one magical place. The little kid in me who loves art, Italy, wine, and learning was so excited to be there! One minute I am passing a giant Buddha when heading to the restroom and the next, I am sitting by a fireplace next to a HUGE cross section of an old Sequoia tree. The next day, we walked the horoscope gardens and sat on wooden swing benches and then rode a tandem bike around the premises to pet alpacas. And we did all of that without even leaving the property! Allegretto is jaw-droppingly breathtaking. The middle of the resort has a courtyard that is exactly like the piazzas I've seen in Italy. With plenty of seating and fire pits for groups to hang out at in the evening, there are so many options. There is a nice (though a little small) pool onsite. There is a vineyard. There are lots of beautiful marble stairways. There are high ceilings. There are incredible light fixtures. There is art EVERYWHERE you look, like geodes, oil paintings, old photographs, and life-sized marble statues. There were antiques and artifacts tastefully displayed. Customer service was excellent. I had many questions for various people on the grounds, and everyone was accommodating and friendly without expectation. Our room on the first floor was large and had French doors to a cute seating area that accessed the courtyard (it was not a private patio). We had THE most comfortable bed for a hotel room (I am usually a terrible sleeper), and the comforter was soooooooo nice! I also absolutely adored the high ceilings and extra long hanging ceiling lights. They felt regal, and who doesn't love feeling like a princess for a day or two?!! The only downside to the room is every time the guests above us walked around, our ceiling lights rattled. It was strangely loud when we didn't have any music or noise (ie, when we were trying to sleep), so it could be scary to hear when it was dark. It sounded like an earthquake. [TIP: When booking a room, choose a top floor to avoid noise, if you can. Also make sure to set aside enough time to hang out at the hotel because there is much to do there!] read more

Absolutely gorgeous!! We had a fantastic weekend here and the hotel has everything you need. The pool is heated, the jacuzzi is HOT, the tasting room with tables in the open courtyard and the most friendliest staff. Allegretto is beautiful inside and out. The restaurant has house made fresh pasta, delicious salads and appetizers. In the morning there is coffee in the lobby, but also made to order specialty coffees at the bar. Complimentary bikes, alpacas, sheep and goats on property with complimentary food that you can get from the bellman. Out back are the beautiful vineyards, a sound maze, a chapel and gorgeous grounds to walk with a glass of wine and just enjoy your company. Parking is easy, either valet or self park and the rooms are perfect. Our balcony overlooked the courtyard that had fire pits and plenty of seating. Our bed was very comfortable, the shower was a walk in, very spacious and had soap, shampoo and conditioner, if needed. The location was perfect and is only a few miles from Sensorio light show which was a beautiful display of lights to enjoy at night. We highly recommend a stay here and would definitely return. Wow! Stunning, art forward hotel. What a magical place! I was so happy I got to spend my birthday here... HOTEL: Stunning. This hotel is a feast for the eyes and soul. As you enter the lobby, you'll see massive ceilings, a gorgeous staircase, and amazing features everywhere you look. Open yourself to exploring every little detail! The artwork is exquisite, the giant crystals are magnificent, the chapel is relaxing, the farm animals are cute, the pool area is lovely, the courtyard feels relaxing, and all around you feel like you are in a beautiful Italian Villa. Explore everything! I can't say it enough! This hotel is also close to downtown. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Kind customer service. The staff is friendly and I love that. Unfortunately, a wine glass broke in our room all over the entry floor. The front desk woman, Christy, working the night shift, was so amazing. She swept it up, then vacuumed it for us. We felt terrible, but appreciated her efforts and hospitality! The guys who carried our luggage to and from our room were very polite and helpful as well. Don't forget to tip! PRO TIP: Anyone visiting Paso should be experiencing SENSORIO Field of Lights. Get the Total Glow Package to be able to view everything. It is less than 2 miles from the hotel. I booked the Terazza suite with the wine passport and I could not recommend it enough. My suite had a beautiful patio right by the pool and offered me complimentary wine tasting at over 30 wineries on both the east and west side of Paso, including Allegretto!! The staff are attentive, kind, and top notch. The room was spacious and cozy, with so many nice amenities. I've only been on day trips to Paso, so I was definitely looking for somewhere nice to stay that was pet-friendly, close to downtown, and also near Sensorio. Everything was really nice about this place. I loved our room; it was super spacious and super clean. Plus, we had our own patio, which made it very convenient to just go out and walk my dog. The most annoying issue I ever had with check in process was with this hotel!! I've done lots and lots of check-ins at hotels, and I know the card I always use. So, this girl at the front desk told me that my Visa ending in blah blah numbers would be charged. I was like, first of all, I use my Amex card, and secondly, I don't have a Visa card ending with those numbers. But she was super adamant and insisted. I kept telling her that I used my Amex to book this room! She PROCEEDED to check me in. Soooooo, when she gave me the paper to sign, I saw it wasn't my name and NOT my card! I was like, this is the wrong person, this is NOT me. Then she had to ask someone for help because she checked in the wrong person. I was like, if she had just listened to me in the first place, this wouldn't have happened. But yeah, the hotel is nice. There are lots of places to explore and walk around. The interaction at check-in just turned me off. Maybe listen to the actual guest telling you which card she used to booked the room. read more

This is a beautiful property but the front desk service and the management SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I noticed the billing amount was wrong when I checked in. The front desk person acted like she could care less. A manager finally came out and acknowledged it's the billing error due to their system and said she took care of it. Upon checking out 2 days later, I got the billing statement and the same mistake was still there. The same manager came out and said it was corrected. Guess what?! 3 weeks later, I still haven't received the credit back to my credit card statement. I talked to the general manager of the property and it is still not resolved! If you call yourself a high end resort, please get your act together. It's not right to put this type of burden on your customer having to chase the credit but the mistake/error is on your side! read more

Our room was beautiful! We had a terrace on the first floor right next to the garden. The bathroom was huge, the bed was so comfortable, and it was just overall an amazing experience! We chose to stay at Allegretto while in town for a wedding (in nearby San Miguel). I was pleasantly surprised that the property is located right off the highway and while you can see the highway from the property, you can't hear it. Being on the grounds really does make you feel like you're somewhere other than CA. It definitely is a museum with a hotel, full of interesting art and artifacts from all over the world. Each time we walked around, I discovered something new to look at. I love resort life and this property delivered with activities around every corner like chess, bocce ball and corn hole. The star walk is an added bonus, with opportunities to further explore the property including the vineyard and prompts to help you pause, reflect and meditate. Our stay gave us the opportunity to actually disconnect from our devices and just experience nature and its peace. There were some problems with the deposit as my mom had previously booked a specific room and found another room with a better deal (comes with archery and wine tasting). It took several phone calls and constant emails until they finally refunded us. This was definitely a headache. Aside from the deposit, this resort was definitely amazing. We came here to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday and have her try wine for the first time! We have known that Paso Robles is king of wineries so decided to stay here. Even though it wasn't my birthday, it felt like this resort was to celebrate me. There was wine tasting, archery, feeding llamas/alpacas, and even a personalized trail around the vineyards and grounds. There was so much in the resort to be admired and simply just walking around was a whole day thing. The artwork and structures were insane. Next to the campfire, there was this really huge bark and we bumped into a woman that shared the history behind that. What was also insane was live singing by the fire every day. They hired a guy to just stand there and sing for the guests; his voice was beautiful. I also appreciated the complimentary water bottles and the tea/coffee options at the lobby. The room was also really clean and beautiful. We got a room that faced the water fountain outside. All in all, if I'm back at Paso Robles I'd definitely come back here. Just had Easter brunch there at a cost of $85 a person plus a tip. Almost everything I tried, I sent the plate away. Cheap food in abundance. Tough overcooked, prime rib, what they called Porchetta but was one fatty piece pork belly. No great seafood except for salmon eggs Benedict with overcooked dried out smoked salmon. I pushed my plate away on everything, left and got an In-N-Out Burger. So disappointed and a waste of money. Kind of a golden corral buffet for $85. Oh one thing good, a great pickled carrot in the drink. I am editing because it was so bad that I don't want anyone else getting stuck here for Easter. The food was so terrible. The drinks were so terrible. The seating was so terrible. It was an Easter made in hell. And because of this experience, I will never ever eat your restaurant. read more
