All in all a very nice welcoming park for us, we look forward to staying at many more times.

They make lots of money renting golf cart which parents allow young children to use. While on a walking after dark we were almost run over by one of the delinquents who was driving with the lights off. They appeared to be having a water gun fights while each golf cart had about 12 kids riding in it. Contacted the office and the behavior continued, it appeared staff had no interest in correcting the problem. This behavior continued the next night and this time when I called staff would answer the phone. I've never been to a resort that if there's a problem, you're left on your own to handle. in my opinion, in the future I better off going to a state camp group where you pay significantly less. The south mens restroom has one paper towel dispenser that is empty at times. There appears to be an office staff shortage so the Saturday hours are hit and miss, and there are no Sunday hours. Monday through Friday they are often open earlier than advertised and stay until closing.

So no one could use the jacuzzi as this group took over everything. A real lack of trash receptacles.. They rent golf carts here so at all hours there were small children driving them, and if an adult was driving they were flying through the campground. For the cost of these spaces I would expect someone who works here to drive through at 10.15 and shut down the loud loud loud noise, after all, the office said their rangers are sitting in the office, so get in a golf cart and control these out of control people.

Parking was a little tough but they had off site parking. Plan to get there before they open for better parking and to grab chairs. Lazy river and wave pool were awesome and not overcrowded. We spent the most of our time in the little kids zone. My kid had a blast. Definitely would consider a season pass it was perfect for my 4 years old. Big kid slides and rides didn't have long waits at all. Definitely worth checking out again. We will be back.

Sites are overgrown with weeds, tables and benches in disrepair, water faucets frequently turned off for whatever reason. And every season each campground is getting worse and worse. The only thing that gets refreshed is the sign saying how much to pay. Day-use areas are just as bad. Parking lots in deplorable shape, anything with wood(signs and railings )falling apart, dumpsters often locked. No one ever in the kiosks, so if you need a day pass you got to drive around and find a camp host somewhere. How the USFS allows this incredibly poor performance baffles me. The one caveat is you'll often have an area to yourself because there are so many reasons not to visit here anymore that the old days of crowded weekends are long gone.

We had a Sierra Club outing to the Camuesa Trail along Paradise Road near Santa Barbara. This is an…read moreundeveloped area with no toilets or other facilities. As we travelled along Paradise Road we encountered some kind of toll booth. The guy in the toll booth said we had to pay $10 for a pass. If we failed to do so, we would be hit with a $60 fine. I talked to the hike leader at the trailhead and he was angry that we had paid. He said we absolutely did not need to pay just to go hiking on a trail. When we left after the hike we asked the same guy at the toll booth to refund our money. He said there are no refunds. He was open about giving us his full name. He obviously knew the company was supporting the fact that he was lying to scam money from people for the company. He literally laughed in our faces. This company has no telephone number that is ever answered by a human. They have a contact form and eventually they replied. They just lied and said you have to pay even if you are just going for a hike in an undeveloped area. I called the Forest Service and they are aware of what this company is doing. They said you absolutely do not need to pay just to go hiking. Ideally, this company will be put out of business, but that may take a long time. Do NOT pay their fees and avoid any area they are running if at all possible. That is the best way to speed up their demise.

Recently, we came back for a mini reunion and made Eberle a place where our party of 8 could relax, unwind, and reminisce of yesteryears while enjoying the beautiful views from the covered vineyard deck, and needless to say we absolutely had a blast! The tasting experience was still complimentary thanks to the blessed heart of Mr. Gary Eberle (thank you kind Sir), who also happened to grill up some delicious meats and smoked sausage that day (Santa Maria style), which was the perfect pairing to his wines. Special mention to Stephanie, who did an phenomenal job guiding us through the last cave tour of the day...and Mr. Eberle, she truly did your story justice (and then some!). WOW!
