First time staying at a RV resort, and we were amazed with the grounds, landscaping, and services offered. The pools and spas were clean and so nice after a long day. What really made our stay was the staff. Brian H, the ranger was warm, informative, and accommodating, which was a wonderful, unexpected surprise! Holly, our bartender at the Farmhouse Bistro, was a delight! She was friendly, fast, and a great conversationalist! These two employees really helped to make our stay feel like home. We will be back next year!! Oh we have a proposal- have an "adults only" section at the bottom of the hill. It was so nice not waking up with the kids this weekend and the view was glorious. read more

Met friends from the central coast and the bay area here for my birthday and we had a blast. Not only are the staff accommodating, they are also great to chat with. The campground is huge, with lots of activities for kids. Added bonus is that you are in the heart of wine country. Highly recommend and will be back! read more

Just stayed here for two nights and it was great. Everything is clean and the staff is friendly. There's a huge pool, hot tub, water park type area, pool table, foosball table, giant chess and checker boards. This weekend they had complimentary wine tasting from local vineyards and a great bar and restaurant. Our teenagers were even impressed, which is saying something. Of course Paso is a great spot to stay if you drive out to Morro Bay to get out of the heat. The price is lower than other rv parks in Paso, with much better amenities. We just had our first stay at the Cava Robles, Wed-Mon. Let me first start by saying the staff was an absolute pleasure to work with and Julia and Nigel made our experience even better. Right now roughly half the park is open. The other half should be completed come Sept 2018. As of this past weekend there was a ton of construction and they start very early, 6am-4pm Mon-Fri. Kind of a bummer, so book with the resort directly and ask where is best to stay. The restaurant/bar unfortunately wasn't really up and running. Only open Fri/Sat 4pm-9pm and it's beer and wine only. Food wise they only had one dish to offer each night. The pool is incredible and very spacious. They also have a splash pad for the kids to enjoy them selves and the outdoor rec area feels very family oriented with lots of space and bbq's to cook where ever you'd like. We really enjoyed ourselves minus the small kinks and we'll defiantly be returning once the entire resort is up and running. Thank you Cava Robles for a memorable weekend. read more

We came here for the week-end of Jan. 24th-28th with a group for a 60th Birthday. We had the BEST time here! The RV resort is brand new and it's truly spectacular! We had 7 RV's and then several of our friends stayed in the cottages so they were nearby and could participate in all the festivities. The cottages small but super cute and new and nice. The pools/jacuzzi/fire pits were great, the clubhouses were terrific and we had delicious pizza at their restaurant/wine bar. They also arranged vans to take us wine tasting and provided lunch. That was PHENOMENAL! Heather and Martine were our drivers and they were FANTASTIC! Couldn't have asked for a better experience! read more

I would give it 5 stars but they NEVER answer the phone when I was trying to make a reservation. I finally got ahold of someone days later. The resort itself is beautiful. We booked an "elite" site, although when we got there we changed it to a "premium" because we liked the views better. We stayed in site 213, very close to both pools and overlooking the clubhouse. The bathrooms are clean and modern, the pools are large and clean and sites are well maintained. However, it stuck me a bit odd that the sites didn't have BBQ pits for the price. Also -- the main clubhouse where breakfast is served seems to be a bit lax about opening times which is fine, maybe when they're fully open they'll open on time. Also, I noticed that the clubhouse common area wasn't cleaned up from the previous night. There were used wine glasses throughout, the patio furniture was left as is from the previous night, so overall it looked a bit sloppy. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and I have faith that once they're fully open, they will work out all the kinks. read more

Beautiful.resort but unfortunately they discriminate against certain groups. We were promised one thing and then presented with daily changes. The staff was very rude and unaccomodating! We have stayed their before with same rudeness, hoping it was just a single event .Unfortunately it was not! Don't recommend staying here. read more

Just finished our first stay at this RV Resort and had a good time. The only reason that we didn't give it 5 stars is that since this was our first visit, there was a little confusion on where to check in! Good location in relation to the wineries that we wanted to visit. We didn't have enough time to use all of the amenities that they had to offer and it was a little windy during our stay but had a good visit with the friends that we traveled with. There was a minor issue with a broken sprinkler line near our site but when I stopped the ranger to report it, he was back within minutes with someone to fix it! Location is beautiful and has everything to be a wonderful resort. BUT- the customer service is terrible. With the exception of Brian, who was awesome, the women working at the front desk were incredibly rude to our entire group. They were constantly knit-picking us over ridiculous things (not having a SLEEPING dog on a leash, etc.) Brian gave all 14 of the kids in our group a ticket for a free otter pop. Yet, when the children went to get them, the woman refused to give them the treats until she saw an adult (who was standing right outside). It just felt like we were under a microscope and being parented the whole time and majorly took away from what was supposed to be a relaxing vacation. We met several other campers who were having the same "experience". Not once have we ever had an issue like this while camping. It's unfortunate because the location really is pretty. This is a really nice RV resort! They do an excellent job of keeping the place clean and beautifully maintained. The RV pads are large and well spaced and the utilities work perfectly! The facilities are amazing - on a level with a nice hotel - large pool and play areas for the kids, dog parks and games areas! In addition to that the staff are really great! Every worker rode by numerous kids with no helmets and said nothing. The front desk is non existent after you check in. Lovely and gorgeous. I could give 4 stars due to needing mature trees but that wouldn't be fair. We went in November but can't imagine a hot month there. Great clubhouse, pools, workout facility too. Nice big lots and friendly front desk. I would suggest to them to give more information about the closer wineries. We found out too late that there were a few only a few miles off a 101. Day trips to Hearst Castle, Morro Bay and other beaches and cities make it a perfect place. Lots of different areas to choose from depending on if you like to be out by yourself or in the middle of the action. Loved it!! read more

We stayed at this park for a week in May and had a great time. The park is huge with over 330 RV spots and cabins all set in the rolling hill and terraced in some areas. The facilities are top notch with multiple pool and spa areas with a bar and limited snack area. The Manager Brian does a great job at helping guests get situated, giving rides up the hill, and making sure folks have what they need to enjoy their stay at this beautiful RV Resort. The front desk staff were limited in their help and support, only because they are not RVer's and could use a better handout of support facilities/businesses in the Paso Robles Area. Also, a Handout or List of all the fun things to do in the area would be great, like the Air & Car Museum at the airport, the 300+ wineries, the cute town of Cambria, and of course Hearst Castle Tours. Overall, it is a great stop and a good place to recharge the batteries... read more

This will be our last time camping here! To only name a few of the several things we weren't happy with...Our stay was very unenjoyable! We were first treated very rudely at the front desk where we were told "umm you're going to have to wait a minute as you can see I'm very busy" the next evening during dinner we were rudely approached by one of the managers and I expressed to him this will be our last stay here due to the unfriendly staff and his response was "good!! Where do I start? This place is amazing! Customer service was exceptional, the setting is beautiful and all the accommodations were extremely comfortable. We held an event there with around 50 people and the resort made sure we were accommodated in every way. Let me start by saying the park is beautiful and very well maintained with alot of amenities. Where it fell short of expectations is the rules enforcement. Night one we had a dog which was left on the deck of a toyhauler who barked for hours on end. Night 2 was the drunk in the street screaming along to freebird followed by the domestic dispute at midnight. At over $100 a night for the least expensive site I didnt think theae types of issues would be a thing. To be fair the dog issue seemed to be resolved after I called guest services. We will be back to this park because it really is a beautiful park but if this happens a second time that will be it for us. read more

I stayed at the resort over July 4th weekend to visit family in the area. I inquired about staying Labor Day weekend while I was there and was told they only have 5 spots left in the whole site. I put down a 50% deposit (non-refundable during holidays). On August 2 they advertised a promotion on FB and I got an email saying if you stay during Labor Day weekend, you could be entered to win concert tickets for Ringo Starr and receive 15% off. I called over and at first I was told I could get the discount, but not be entered in the contest. Then the woman changed her mind and said I couldn't have either - it was for new reservations only (which it did not say this anywhere on the FB page or via email). I emailed management twice and never heard back from anyone, only to get a call this week from the same woman I spoke to asking me to pay my balance in full before I arrive because they are at capacity and will be too busy to check everyone in! How can you offer consumers something that isn't and never was available? Why advertise if you aren't going to offer returning or repeat customers the same deal? Reluctantly, I have no choice but to stay there over Labor Day - but NEVER again will I stay at Cava Robles or any Sun Communities RV Resort. As for the park itself, it's newer - but crowded and pricey. read more

It was a peaceful week until the Memorial Day weekend where all the rowdy crowds came in and the park does NOT provide security to enforce the rules! Kids driving go-carts recklessly while the parents are off getting drunk! Kids underage drive motorcycles on grass areas and burning out in the rocks on sites where there are RVs and cars parked. This place is a zoo and no one in the office cares about following the rules. They say that there is patrolled security and we haven't seen one all day! The management doesn't know how to control the misuse of golf carts that underage kids are driving recklessly around and makes this beautiful place seem less and less attractive! While this campground is very nice and clean, our experience left a bad taste. Our complaint is with the office staff. While checking in, the desk clerk spent a great deal of time finding the right site for us for 3 nights, that would also be available for 2 more if we decided to stay longer. We soon knew we did and went back to make those arrangements. She told us she was sorry, but she gave the site away for those 2 nights, which meant we had to leave. I would also suggest that the desk employees have some information on activities in the area. We were given none and when we said we were interested in wineries and breweries, we were told only to go to the downtown area. It was later we found that there was so much more to do and see. But sadly, we'll miss all those attractions now. read more

Beautiful setting with views of the hills. Everything is brand new. Incredible amenities. One area of wellness center with gym and large swimming pool for swimming laps. Another area for families with large free form swimming pool and restaurant with barbeques and pizza oven. Hopefully all this will not be destroyed by families letting their kids run wild. Already you can see some signs of misuse. That would be a real shame. Serious money was invested in this place for the enjoyment of everyone. read more

They bill themselves as a "Signature Resort". That it is not. Sun Resorts owns the property and many others. One would think that they would know how to build and manage a "Signature Resort". My experience with them is that they don't. Let's start off with the check in building. There is a wooden porch surrounding the building and instead of screwing the planks down they were nailed down. The nail heads are already starting to back out and the park has not been open a year. The sites are gravel with a nice concrete pad with a steel fire pit. Apparently the park doesn't own a broom as the gravel is out in the street. Most parks go in and rake the site when it is vacated making it look nice and neat. Not here. The fire pits have trash in them. They obviously don't go around to check the sites. There are several BBQ's at the two pools that you would need to drive to if you wanted to use them. Once you got there you probably not use them as they are filthy with burned on food etc. They obviously have not been cleaned since the park was opened. They layout is poor as there is no direct route to the recreation center or the main pool. You are required to walk and most will drive out to the main roads and then back into the sites. "Signature Resorts" pick up the trash at your site every morning. Here you have a very long walk or you drive to the trash sites. With over 300 sites you would expect more than 5 washers and dryers stuffed in a small room with barely enough room to walk by. The "folding area" consists to two small squares barely three feet by three feet. Lastly for the prices they charge one would expect a lot more than they offer read more

My family stayed there this summer and were very impressed. It's huge so bring your walking shoes. They have golf carts that you can rent for the day which I thought was pretty reasonable. It was extremely hot when we went so we hung out by the pool for the most part. The pool was great and my kids had a blast. I do wish there was grassy areas & trees as it was very dry but maybe as time goes on they will get it since it's a new place. The store wasn't very big and didn't sell a whole lot. It's a very, very clean establishment and we will definitely stay there again. read more

We've stayed at The Vines (so-so) and several times at Wine Country RV Park (nice) and this was our first stay at Cava Robles. It's brand new so I understand "working out some kinks" but the management leaves a lot to be desired. When we reserved this site about a month ahead of time, we asked for a site away from anyone else, off in a corner, etc. We wanted quiet space and no hubbub. We were at the end of the very lower row with the dry riverbed behind us and really enjoyed that first night. The next morning we got waked up at 7am, by a workforce of about 5-6 pickups which completely surrounded us. The rototilling and scraping of shovels began before 7:30. The CATERPILLAR showed up shortly after and that is when I started calling the office. They apparently called me back very quickly, but I didn't hear the phone because of all the noise from the work going on around us. It was totally ridiculous. They never answered or returned my second call so I got dressed and DROVE to the office. The two girls behind the counter were playing on their computers when I came in so I guess they didn't feel like returning phone calls just then. They really need to teach their management/office people some skills in dealing with the public as while they were not rude, they were - as someone else here put it - dismissive and it was plain they could have cared less. When I asked why they put us in the middle of a construction zone they claimed they hadn't known the landscapers were going to show up that day. HMMMM. They did upgrade us to an elite site on the hill overlooking the clubhouse and it turned out to be just like camping on our street in front of our own home! Kids raced by on scooters and bikes and golf carts all day and half the evening. The noise from the clubhouse and pool was constant. It was really annoying to try to sit outside and read with everyone tromping past with all their pool gear and shrieking kids. This place is outrageously expensive and very over-priced for what you get: a spot to park your RV and hook up to water and electric. We have learned over the years (more than 40) to avoid places that call themselves "resorts" and this place is just one more on that list. If you are looking for a camping experience you will not find it here. This is NOT camping; it's parking your rig in your driveway and sleeping in it. If that is what you enjoy, then go for it, because we will not be taking up any space there again any time soon. read more

Making reservations at Cava Paso Robles is near impossible. Their reservation center does not return your phone call and you can wait on hold for hours. Once you have arrived at the RV park the staff is friendly and helpful. Problem is you could never get that far because the reservation center is so terrible. read more

Ok, so the only real negative we had was the rude treatment from the gals at the front desk. They almost went out of their way to be unhelpful. It was universal to all the other guests in our party who all experienced this at different times. I actually had to step in and solve my own issues that were easily solvabe with no help from the front. If you can get past this you will have a great experience on the grounds. Great ammenities with 2 very big pools and some really fun times. The grounds are well kept and quite picturesque. I will definitely return with the hope that they can get on top of the hospitality part of otherwise great facility. read more

Gorgeous place, sites are clean and each one comes with a picnic bench and fire pit. The front desk has a full store with pretty much anything you might have forgotten. Pools, splash pad, park and dog park make this place ideal for families, tons of kids riding around on bikes and scooters. The farmhouse bistro is reasonably priced. Staff was on it when dumpsters got full and made sure to clean the place up as the busy labor day weekend went on. read more

I have stayed at this resort many times since it first opened and was Cava Robles, and it used to be great, but its gone to complete crap now. We recently stayed there for two days, weekday actually, and was the worst time I had ever had there. We stayed Sunday and Monday. The rates were outrageous, definitely not worth the money. The first day, the pool got shut down, but they were supposed to shut it down earlier to clean it and they didnt, then somebody had an accident and they ended up shutting it down anyway. The bar was out of everything, only they had left was coconut rum. Then we got thrown out of the hot tub at 9pm after they opened up the pool again after several hours of being closed. It used to be 10 or even later, cause no one ever minded if you were in the hot tub late, not like there is anyone to disturb. Plus the bar/grill shuts down at 7. The second day the bar/grill didnt even open because they didnt have anybody to work it. The pool didnt have near enough loungers, and what umbrellas it did have were falling apart. Needless to say, i could have parked my trailer across town for a third of what i payed to park it there. Its supposed to be a resort, you stay at a resort for its amenities, which we didnt get. read more

i would give this place zero stars if i could... my family and i came on vacation and the staff was extremely rude and did not bother to follow covid protocols. a drunk woman assaulted me and the staff did not bother to help they only kicked us off the premises because they were upset we called the police after and then refused to refund us! also the resort itself was very dirty and unkept, lots of trash everywhere and there was an infestation of roaches in the gym i was so disgusted i couldn't step foot in there more than once. read more
