Best beds, best people, best cleaning, best care. They never tried to upsell me anything. They always have daily deals for members. Other places I've been to did not have that. I just found out my "current" tanning place (Le Beach Tanning) closed and I was "forced" to go to Sun Spa as all their clients were merged. At first I found it a bit irritating, but now I see it as a blessing in disguise. The girl who was working, Jen, was wonderful. Been going here for YEARS....it's my fav!! Better yet, you know I love somewhere when i actually leave Hollywood and come to the valley...then it's real! Lol I think I've used every service here....Tanning (the back stand up bed is the best and gets you SO dark), airbrush tanning, Red Light therapy, and my absolute fav are the infrared body wraps!! Service was okay... i guess. They dont inform you prior to your visit what to expect, so that you know, you're prepared. Sure I didn't do my part to ask what to expect, but they knew it was my first time, which is why I even got the discounted $25 new customer price. when I told them "oh I wish I knew this before coming" they didn't acknowledge their failure and just brushed it off. The service I got was the body infrared wrap. I was wearing my new jeans, because why would I take off my clothes while the door remains open during your session. This was my first Infrared Sauna experience ,and it was awesome! I was greeting at the door by Jen with a huge smile! She asked me if I brought water or if I wanted to purchase some, I filled out a quick form and she escorted me to room #3 (my lucky number, how funny!) and inside there were towels and magazines. Your belongings are perfectly secure, as there is a lock on your door. The temperature gradually rises to 110+ degrees, so the last 5 minutes of the 40 minute session were tough, but I pushed through it and felt incredibly after! There are no showers here, so be prepared to wipe off and head home for a shower! (and bring a snack along to eat after, if you have low blood sugar!) I will definitely be back again to Sun Spa! Absolutely amazing spa! First off, the customer service is next level! I don't normally write reviews. Most places, in my opinion, are par for the course, so I never feel a need to write anything. This however, was an amazing experience! The rooms were super clean and maintained, the bathroom was immaculate, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. I'm from New York and was visiting town for a few days. I booked an infrared sauna appointment after my workout because a friend recommended it to me. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and made it incredibly easy for me to get acclimated to the place. The sauna was AMAZING. After 45 minutes I came out super relaxed and refreshed. I chatted with the front desk girl for a minute and (because I was from out of town, I didn't know the LA area well) she directed me to a bunch of great spots in the nearby area and things to do while I'm in town. I am in Cali half the month - every month. When I am in town this is my place. The tanning beds are awesome. My favorite is the matrix. The matrix bronzes me fast. I also love the body wraps but today I did the infrared suana and loved that!!! I know it's a detox process and we laugh about it being Netflix and detox because you are able to watch Netflix while laying down during the detox. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. Got a infrared body wrap today. Receptionist "Jen" was VERY friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. I felt like I was wrapped like a burrito and placed in a toaster oven for 50 minutes. I came out soaked which is the goal so DO bring the extra change of clothes they suggest. Water too! Almost doozed off but "Friends" on Netflix (you get a tv on the wall above your bed) was a welcomed distraction to kill the time. Very clean spa. Girl at front desk Harmony was so friendly and helpful and even I came in 15 mins before closing she showed me around, helped to choose the most suitable tanning level and informed about all facilities salon has being very nice and patient. I also like that all tanning beds looks new and mine was really clean and looks like properly sanitized (which is pretty often disappointing part in other salons). A nice local place to try a body wrap. I bought the Groupon and boy did I sweat it out. It's a little gross though knowing that so many people sweat in the heavy plastic heated blanket. It was a good experience to try at least once to detox as how they promote it. You're covered in your long sleeve shirt, pants, and socks -- but your hands are exposed (a little icky). The place is immaculate, so clean, so pretty. I came here with a towel and water, because the last place didn't provide these things. But they provided everything. Plus, everybody has their own rooms for the body wraps. The lady came in every 10 minutes to check on me and make sure the temperature was where I wanted it. I didn't get color even after several visits, I asked the girl who sold me the package when was the last time they had replaced the bulbs, she said it was recent. There is no way this is true! Very pleased with my experience here! I've been to my share of tanning salons in my days and this place was CLEAN, fresh, and the staff was super helpful! The girls up front put up with my gazillion questions and allowed me to smell just about every product on their shelves. They were friendly and informative! An added plus is that the parking is easy. Free parking in back. The bed was great! State-of-the-art and it even talks to you! I love the option to turn off the face lamps! Their products smell amazing without leaving you smelling like that burnt after-tan grossness. I came right home and smiled delightfully when my fiancé gave me a hug and told me how nice I smelled! The product was reasonably priced too! The only downside is the not-so-reasonable prices for packages, but the fact that they slip you right in on a walk-in basis makes it quick, painless and convenient. This location is the closest from my place. I'm so glad I went to Sun Spa, the staff was very kind in informing me of how things work and gave wonderful suggestions for the treatment I need. The front desk girl named Kayla miller of all girl band violet was so helpful! She explained that I have fair skin and should start out with less time. She was right! I did 5 minutes less than the allowed time and I walked out with the best golden tan I've ever gotten in one session. The place is clean and they offer great sun tan lotions! So after being due for another tan, as well as being contacted by the business owner I decided to give my once go to spot another try. After having come out two colors previously(August), I took all precautions shaved exfoliated, no products, make up lotions, nothing at all my skin was an even tone no major color differences. So after a miscommunication, with the business owner. (He contacted me, i understood if I visit I get a better complimentary tan in hopes to better the the previous review and have a better experience.) so I show up and the business owner said he would comply after I changed the review. I said Free or not I wouldn't change the review unless the tan tad better. So I proceeded to pay for my tan and I brought my gf along who Wanted a nice bronze. After waiting a while by the business owner was talking to the pleasant staff (didn't get her name) but she was sweet. Anyways. I proceeded to the tan I went in 2 with a post and I remember not liking the post for some reason but not only did mine but my gf's hands were also orange so my boyfriend was making fun of me and said I should only go back to this place if I'm ready to look like an Oompa Loompa. I think that was a bit much. But that goes to show that it wasn't just me but my friend as well and other people noticed. I don't know what changed since I used to frequent this place like crazy but I don't plan on visiting back. Also the fan that you turn on post versa, the knob was broken so I couldn't get that additional dry I like. Didn't bother complaining after having waited so long for the business owner to talk to the staff. Good luck and here's to hoping the versa gets better! read more
