I won't give the service person or the company any stars. He was unprofessional and mouthy, disrespectful. And he did not do detailed testing to see if the GFI is faulty or if the Braker needs to be larger to hold the power it needs. Even when I made him check the braker he decided to check the breakers for the washing machine and did washer instead of the bathrooms and he didn't like it when I questioned him. Also when I told him tgat my sick old parents couldn't use there electric tooth brush or hair dryer or my dads oxygen machine he proceeded to tell me it's not like the water wasn't working. When I asked him for the supervisors number he went in his van shut the door on me and ignored me. He expected to do nothing for us and have be not get upset. Then when I called the company amd explained to the front desk person that I needed to speak to a supervisor I was denied that and was told she is busy, proceeded to explain the situation to her and she kept telling me I'm sorry that's the way it is instead of coming up with a solution. When I spoke to my Nieghbor who is a realator and does many home inspections she explained to me that his whole process was wrong and he should have conducted various test to see if the GFI is faulty or if the braker needs to be larger to hold more power. The whole experience was insulting I hope Your company never uses Sunblet again. I have never had a stranger come in my home and be this insulting. I would even give the one star, I only did that because of the app. Because of him not diagnosing it probably or doing tests I had to hire a company an pay out of pocket, he ruined what chance I had with my home insurance company. I called several times to complain to a supervisor and was denied they tell he the information Was passed along. I have never delet wit a company so horrible in my life. read more

It is a scam - I had a service call with SunBelt through a home warranty. Described to the dispatcher the problem (broken ceiling electrical box), was reassured it was no problem, got a technician the next day. The guy says he doesn't have a box like that in his truck, would need to get a new one, and leaves. Call dispatcher again to set up a new appointment, she says the home warranty company won't cover the repair. Apparently it wasn't clear to her when the appointment was scheduled (I described the problem to her very clearly). Apparently they consider it part of an electrical fixture (it is not) and thus it is not covered. Of course now that the technician showed up, I am on the hook for the $75 service charge. $75 for 15 seconds of his precious time. BTW, the home warranty company is Fidelity National. One star review coming up. read more

Frank was extremely personable, was very efficient and also took the time to explain the issues as well as resolutions. Within 12 hours of my request, Frank called to schedule the time and then Dave followed up within an hour. Paul was wonderful. Parker and Sons told me I needed a new electrical box which would cost me over $6,000. So I got a second opinion. When Paul came out with Sunbelt Electric he said everything looked fine. I guess Parker and Sons works off of commission. So if you need electrical work done I would call Sunbelt Electric and be careful with these other companies that work off of commission. read more

I made repeated requests for a manager or supervisor to contact me with no response. A technician from Sunbelt Electric came to my home to replace a broken circuit breaker. He informed me that he did not have the correct part, and then assured me that he would return the following week to replace the breaker. Within minutes, I received a call from my home warranty company (Old Republic) stating that the service was not covered due to overuse of the circuit breaker. Apparently the technician reported that the circuit breaker broke due to repeated use of the circuit breaker (on/off). At no time did the technician mention this false accusation during his visit. Sunbelt Electric Inc. has no ethical standards and should not be in business. read more

Sunbelt Electric was chosen for us by our home warranty company. The selected contractors in the past have been hit and miss, some good, mostly bad. Previous contractors (HVAC and plummers) did all they could to make an extra buck on the non-covered contract parts/supplies. This time was different. Our tech was on time, professional, and promptly fixed our electrical problem. We had a GFCI circuit that kept tripping. Our tech isolated the dangerous problem quickly and gave me peace about the situation. I was unable to be at home when the repair was made, although we communicated by FaceTime. The tech explained the problem made the needed repairs. After he left, I called home and asked my wife if she thought he did a good job. She exclaimed "He was wonderful!" I realize it costs money to provide a quote but this seem extremely high. What happened to providing quotes as a cost of doing business? Even if is costs an hour round trip, it seems very high. They were dispatched to one of my properties twice by the home warranty company regarding a ceiling fan not working. Each time I paid a copay. The company sent the same technician who argued that a remote is required. The tenant let the technician know that a there was never a remote and this fan worked using the electric switch. The technician would not bring a ladder to check the fan. I called the company and they said tenant needs to provide a ladder since tech did not have a ladder high enough. The company never disclosed they needed a ladder. Very bad company and would not want to work with again. Should have checked to know it was the same company sent on a prior claim to same house before he went out to the property. read more

Jim from Sunbelt Electric was rude, unprofessional, and did not care about the job he does in a very critical profession - electric breaker panels. He knew the breaker panel was arcing behind the panel. He could see the busing bar behind the main breaker was burnt and deformed from the heat of arcing. He ignored and denied being shown this along with breakers melted to each other. Instead, he chose to pop in a new breaker switch that did not solve the problem. He was condescending when asked why he wouldn't look further and said "I should call a home inspector if I want someone to look at it but this job is done." He called this equipment "pristine" - said he would report it as so. He said "it wasn't his job" to check for any faulty equipment. The power company came out and determined the panel was a fire hazard. They had to take the meter off. They said it was a shame that Sunbelt Electric sent someone so unprofessional to leave a home in danger. Most fortunately, Leap Frog Electric has professional electricians who care about safety and did the job that Jim at Sunbelt Electric failed to do. See the pictures. read more

I have the platinum plan the covers ceiling fans and Coach lights. They sent out Sun Belt electric. The electrician said that my plan doesn't cover ceiling fans or Coach lights. I tried to show him where I had paid for the platinum plan and it was on my plan he refused to look at it and left. I called Old Republic and they said that it was covered and to call Sun Belt electric and tell them it was covered and to do the work. I called the electrician and they said it had been disapproved by Old Republic. I called Old Republic they said it was approved and they would transfer me to the electrician. After several minutes they answered and after looking up my order they said it wasn't approved and I would have to call old republic. I have now made a total of 9 phone calls. And just keep getting the run around. read more

The worst ever service. They received work order from best home warrantee to do work on fan at my house Repair man never came back to do the job. I guess there was not enough money made. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with this company. I had submitted a warranty request on my home warranty for service due to an electrical issue in one bedroom and some flickering lights in another. Shortly after submitting the request, I received the usual confirmation emails from the warranty company. Within a few minutes, I had a call from Sun Belt electric, and they were able to set up an appointment with me for the same week. I submitted a home warranty claim. That has not been the case with other vendors in the past for other issues, but Sun Belt was easy to deal with, very accommodating on schedule, and their person Showed up right on time. Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with, and made sure to walk me through what he was going to do as well as any other questions I had being answered. I cannot say enough about how good the experience was, Jonathan was an exceptional representative of the company, and I received a phone call shortly after he laughed, confirming all the details about work that was it was not going to be done. That was a nice extra touch that I have not seen from other vendors with my home warranty company.
