Really disappointed in their service. Came out for a warranty call after a first electrician noted the issue but advised he didn't handle the type of work necessary to fix the concern, so Sunbelt was sent out to do the repair. They inexplicably indicated that there were no issues, even though they failed to actually take a look at the concern that was noted to the warranty company. While I understand this may ultimately be an issue of whether the warranty company will cover the issue, they fell well below expectations in communication and diagnosis. read more

In response to the owners answer: No the company did not do what they were asked, which was to address the light that was not working under the counter. The tech told me to get a lightbulb, which I did after he left, and it still didn't work. When I called the company back, Frank tried to diagnose over the phone, but said he'd have the tech coming out to replace fan switches check it. When that tech came he said it was not on his list, but he checked it and said it was a bad switch and he'd have his company call me. Sunbelt never called and when I called them I spoke to the supervisor who was a complete bitch and said "We're not coming back". The owner of Sunbelt tried to say it was my Home Warranty Company, but it was not. My home warranty company sent another electric company out who did take care of the problem. So again, Do Not Use Sunbelt. Totally unprofessional and you will get nowhere with the incompetent supervisor who was such a lousy person. read more

Sunbelt was sent to me from my Home Warranty Company to fix an electrical issue that I was having with an outlet. They came out on April 5th and let me know they would need to cut access to trace the wire so they can fix the issue. I asked what exactly the access was and was told it would be small holes along the wall so they can follow the wire. I asked if my handyman could do it and they said no if he doesn't do it "properly the electrician can not do work," the handyman wouldn't know exactly where to cut and their electrician has to do it as they know what they are doing. I was told it would be about 7-9 small holes and the home warranty would not cover the cost to make the holes or repair them. April 19th they came out and did the work and I was highly surprised because what I was told they would do is not what they did. The work was done poorly and everything left behind. They finished cutting, fixed the wire, packed up and left. They did not cut out small holes in the wall, they cut out large squares out of the wall and ceiling. They left all the sheet rock on the ground and what they didn't cut out completely they left hanging from the wall. The dust from cutting the sheetrock was all over the floor and they did not even attempt to sweet up. They literally did their work packed up and left. When I called and spoke to them about the job, I was told by AJ that they typically leave the sheetrock behind so you can put it back as that is easier. If you are not a person that has any knowledge of construction that thought does not occur especially when you are upset about the state of being lied to. Most of the pieces they took out of the wall were broken and not wahole. Also if that was truth why did the electrician say why left the sheetrock. Them leaving the sheetrock does not explain the mess they left behind with the dust or why these big gouges are not small holes. Hi Community, I am looking for some advice. I recently had Sunbelt Electric come out to fix an electric outlet. Before they came out I asked them to explain the job and they told me they will to put small holes in the wall so they could follow the wire and fix it. These holes are not small at all and this just is not what they told me they would do. Sunbelt has said there is nothing they can do and will do a better job of explaining the job going forward. If a contractor says small holes, is what you would expect and what would you do to rectify this. Need serious advice please read more

i paid $100 to my home warranty and sunbelt technician came out and looked at my patio ceiling fans and said he needed to talk to AHS to find out what is covered by them. the fans worked but the light wouldn't turn on. he never contacted me after leaving. AHS told me to contact them and pay out of pocket to have it fixed. i paid $100 to have someone come out to tell me the light didn't work which I already knew what a waste of my time and my money! I would not recommend them to anyome. it would've been nice if they would've contacted me back to let me know what AHS told them and offered me an out of pocket rate to fix them. read more

Watch out for Sunbelt electric they put your home & safety actually very deadly high risk by cutting wires & leaving them live & exposed. Just to add more hours to their work load... especially through home warranties... also they are under staffed so will want to charge you extra time & extra money... Do Not go with them. This company came as part of an insured electrical problem. We were so pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail. He arrived before the estimated time range we expected and was finished within that estimated arrival time! And this wasn't a quickie job - he was working on the Roof to replace an electrical unit that powers the heat pump/AC unit. We were very pleased with everything. Frank and his team at Sunbelt are fantastic! I would highly recommend them (and do) for any type of residential or commercial electrical work. We were in a pinch and needed to get a repair done right away because we lost power to the whole house. Sunbelt was able to get a tech out right away and had the issue resolved in minutes. They could have taken advantage of the fact that we were without power and would have paid whatever price they quoted, but they were more than fair and did a great job. Really happy I didn't listen to the bad reviews here. We were referred AHS (home warranty company) and the technician that came out was Sam. Our issue didn't end up being electrical and rather than of our pool motor but Sam was very helpful, honest and professional. He helped us set up a new appt with a pool company without having to pay another service fee. Highly recommend Sunbelt and Sam! I'll be sure to use them again. read more

My experiences with my service call through One Guard (home warranty company) was 4 out of 5 stars. The technicians customer service was 5 out of 5 stars. I would probably rate the businesses follow up at 1 maybe 2 stars. While the technician was out I asked for a quote to add a 30 amp outlet right next to my breaker box. I heard nothing back. Honestly since the technician was at my house for approximately 5 minutes to replace a simple breaker I was hopeful they may install the new outlet then. No such luck. Anyway, a follow up quote was expected but didn't happen. read more

Maybe Jim is just a bad apple and we were unfortunate to get him. He was rude and in a hurry. He spent about 17 minutes at our home and left without completing the job and when I called him he said it was my fault for not pointing out all of the outlets that needed to be fixed....well, I did say all of the exterior outlets to the house were not working so where is the confusion? Maybe if we had a different electrician I would not be leaving this review. Now we are asked to set aside another 3 hour window (my husband and I both work) so they can send out another electrician to finish the job. I am so frustrated over his rudeness. Ken was professional, on time, cleaned up and was overall a pleasure to deal with. He explained the scope of work and was diligent and efficient. We had a outlet that was sparking and some other outlets that were out. He replaced the outlet and reset the other outlets and everything is working great now. Our new home had a few electrical issues...nothing big, but since the home warranty came with the house, why not use? I submitted the claim and got dispatched Sunbelt Electric. Of course the next thing I did was check Yelp for reviews. So, if you have read some of them, you can understand my apprehension. After playing phone tag with the receptionist, I scheduled an appointment. They could have gotten me in earlier, but I was not looking to miss work. The receptionist offered me a 7 AM appointment, which I took. So after contact, I had him here in 3 days at the time I wanted. I got the call ahead of time and who was it? Frank Santella. Ok, now after reading the reviews, again even more concerned. I have to be honest I was not expecting much, but was not going to make a decision until I met him and had dealt with him. As I have learned...lots of people Yelp restaurants, and many times are very reliable, but the service industry (plumbers, electricians, doctors, laundry, etc) are lacking. And I am sorry, you carry no weight with me when you have 3 friends and 1 or 2 reviews and shred someone...or give them 5 stars for that matter. First, Frank called when he was 15 mins out, and arrived right on time. He was nice and professional. Presented me with his business card and asked to see the issues. Showed him the problems. Told me up front, he did not think the warranty company would cover one of the three, but the other two would be easy fixes. He tackled the problems and was finished in about 30 mins. He called the home warranty company to inquire about the last repair. He was correct. Further, he even stressed to the company the importance of the company calling me to explain, to which they did. Frank knew his stuff, was friendly and honest. I went back and read reviews again. I get it is extremely frustrating when a homeowner has a problem they need fixed. It is even more frustrating when the home warranty company uses some BS reason to get out of paying for it to get fixed. But for goodness sake people, quit taking it out on the service guy. Frank is solid! Would call him and Sunbelt again in a second. Cannot go 5 stars because my limited issues did not allow me to see the full gamut of things they can fix. read more

A great group to work with. After I contacted my homeowner's warranty company Sunbelt called back within minutes and scheduled an electrician to evaluate my broken ceiling fan. He was able to diagnose the problem, replace the ceiling fan, and haul out the defunct one within an hour. Everything works great now. read more
