Looked like a fork lift had run into it. I looked up and saw they had surveillance cameras. I went inside and asked if they could help me to look at the video to see what happened. They refused; stating the cameras weren't pointing in the right direction -- they were and they they didn't allow me to see the video to confirm.

The staff there were very nice and helpful. The truck was brought out front immediately but we had to wait for them to get the receiver and ball. The thing we had to tow was huge. We hooked it up and the truck sagged so much that it was going to scrape every thing on Bayshore where we were going to. So we called and asked if they had an offset ball mount that would raise the height of the tow ball. They quoted us an extra $150(I forget exactly how much) for this piece of metal. That's crazy! We could have bought one for $20, which we did at Kragen. Hertz is cool for equipment like power washers, forklifts, and jackhammers especially if you're keeping it for a week. They even deliver the equipment for a nominal fee if you want. But they bend you over and don't give you the reach around for small stuff like a ball mount. Get your balls mounted elsewhere.

Our unit is about 4 years old. Directly after delivery it would not charge. It was a service call…read morewithin one week of taking position. It has 22 hours and sits in a climate-controlled room. We purchased a new electric forklift powered by a lithium-ion battery so I would not have to think about it as I know it will be a low use item. The forklift has had about 8000$ in maintenance done to it. It is a large pile of junk. At 20 hours it stopped with an engine hanging on it worth about a million dollars when I say stopped, I mean nothing worked just a large steal brick. That repair was 6k. the factory denied it and I complained enough and they finally covered it under extended warranty on the battery itself, thank goodness. Then one use later it died again. It was $1500 to fix the emergency shutoff switch. The unit was used for about two more hours in the next four months. It has stopped charging again.
