Decided I would go out for breakfast this morning. Drove out to Sunbury Grill. Funny that it's always the same group of people sitting outside waiting for them to open at promptly 6:30 AM. That's when the shades get pulled up and door is unlocked. I went right to my table which already had my silverware and napkin PLUS my 2 glasses of Coke waiting for me. The diner steadily fills up. I come out here maybe once or twice a month. Kenny and his assistant are preparing food at the grill and shortly Kenny brings my food out. You're thinking when did someone take your order?? Well it's like this, that's what is cool about small town restaurants. I've been coming here for years and I get the same thing and I don't have to waste their time, they make my order and surprise it arrives at my table. 2 eggs over medium, homemade hash browns that are nice and crispy. And the star of the show is Biscuits and Gravy. The biscuits are crisped up on the grill with a little butter I believe. And load on that homemade sausage gravy. Yummy!!! In the hustle and bustle Daisy drops off my check while checking on every person in the diner. This is the definition of a Hometown Diner. So get out and check them out sometime, you won't be disappointed. They're the Best!!

First time in. We always say we wanted to go and finally did. Small quaint little place. We sat outside for a minute til a table opened up. Waited like 5 minutes. No biggie. Greeted right away drinks brought over. Coffee was very good. I got eggs, potatoes and toast. Can't remember what it was called. Hubby got the garbage omelet. With a side of potatoes. Everything was very good and the service was top notch. Very friendly atmosphere. We will be back again soon. Great breakfast.

I've been here three times now and it is always the same which is fantastic. If you are looking for the hole in the wall diner with friendly family service and breakfast basics done to perfection then this is your place. I had eggs over easy with ham, potatoes, and rye toast with a side of one biscuit and gravy and it was all perfect. Next time I am in Sunbury for one of my kids events I will order the same exact thing and love it all over again.

We arrived on a Saturday morning around 930, there was a sign on door saying short staffed no lunch or something like that, walked inside to a back in the day typical diner. Inside has like 8 booths and stools along counter. They cook in front of you like Waffle House. We were told 30 min wait but it was really only like 15min. While waiting there was benches outside to sit and a cute market going on across the street. When seated we were greeted right away by our server and drink and food order taken very quickly. We realized she was the only server and there was one cool and one dishwasher. I accepted our food to take a bit but it didn't at all. Food came out hot and fresh and was pretty tasty. We will be back again. Thanks for a great family breakfast!

Old fashioned great food and service. Really cute inside and breakfast is made to order with fresh ingredients by owners who really give a darn! Found them on Sunday, July 30th, waited for a table but noticed the friendly, caring attitude for those of us in a holding pattern. No worries, worth the wait! Highly recommend giving them a try

This place is a legit diner and worth the stop! It's conveniently located 8 minutes off of interstate 71 for dine in or take out. Whether you are a local or just passing through, you're welcoming enthusiastically and won't leave hungry. The coffee is solid and won't disappoint a coffee snob and Garbage Omelet well suited for a meat lover. And while Gumbo may not be something you'd normally find at a diner you'll want to try Sunbury's!!

Impossible to order from. Everytime I try to order here it's either closed or they put me on hold indefinitely.

Surve is a place my husband and I frequently visit, and let me tell you... we love it. It hits…read moreevery time. The food is fresh and you can definitely tell the ingredients are local. The staff are ALWAYS smiling and they're very friendly/accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone, time and time again.

The gentleman who greeted us when we came through the door…read moreexplained the dining concept to us: one side was a self-serve and the other side with the bar was full-service. Since there were a number of couples waiting for the full service side we opted for the former. We ordered and paid at the counter. I ordered the grilled chicken breast with a sweet potato and steamed broccoli while my husband ordered the grilled salmon with sweet potato and opted for a caesar salad in lieu of a second side. The grilled chicken breast was moist and well seasoned but it essentially was naked. It could have used a nice sauce like a bearnaise or some kind of salsa (maybe chutney) to jazz it up. The sweet potato was embarrassingly small. The broccoli was crisp tender but again was bereft of any sauce or just melted butter to make it yummy. My husband's entree was tasty but essentially was pretty bare. His salad was decent though. This restaurant must understand that the eye eats as well as the stomach because when the entrees arrived at our table the plates were rather underwhelming. We also ordered coffees and the gentlemen at the front said he would make a pot of fresh coffee. (He never did). The coffee we were served was old. Apparently, coffee isn't a big draw at this place. The best part was the gluten-free brownie and ice cream at the end. All in all, the place is nice and clean. The food is decent but there is room for improvement. Would we return since we are locals, I don't think so.

They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. She argued that they were the same. When she returned with the right one, she slapped it down on the table and was very rude. Why would I ever return?

Where Breakfast Pizza Rules and the Morning Rush Tests Your Patience Skills…read more I swung into PJ's Family Restaurant because someone whispered the words breakfast pizza, and honestly, that's all the marketing I need. I ordered it -- and wow. Very good. So good, in fact, that I'm now convinced their regular pizza is probably amazing too. I must return for scientific research. This place was super crowded at 9:00 AM. I'm talking "half the county wanted eggs at the same time" crowded. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which at least gave me front-row seating for the Breakfast Olympics happening. The servers? Absolutely slammed. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. I also grabbed to-go fuel for the tribe: biscuits and gravy, French toast, and bacon -- classic hits across the board. They inhaled everything with the enthusiasm of people who hadn't eaten in 3 days. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'll arrive earlier, like the seasoned diner ninja I aspire to be. Final Verdict: PJ's serves comfort food worth the wait, breakfast pizza worth a pilgrimage, and morning chaos with a smile.
