I was gifted with a Suncast outdoor cabinet last year. I assembled it and placed it in an alcove just outside my back door entrance where it would get sun at different times during the day. In less than a Summer's time , the top of the cabinet literally melted and deformed into what now can no longer hold the front doors of the cabinet open. It's trashed. I wrote the company and sent photos and they claim it is not meant for being in the sun. Pardon me, but you even have 'Sun' in your company's name.... While the intentions of giving me a decent gift for my home, I have to say I would never purchase a Suncast item for myself. Terrible quality bough 3x6 Everett shed. Pieces didn't fit properly so roof wouldn't go on and snap down. Will have Jimmy rig it using screws and caulking to hopefully get it waterproof. Pieces weren't molded correctly so they didn't align. Won't but from this company again. read more

Purchase the Suncast Hose Reel in April of 2025. Used it with a 50 foot hose for about 2 months before it completely fell apart. Contact Suncast warrantee service and was informed the damage was N OT covered under warrantee. Therefore expect to get 2-3 months usage before the unit completely falls apart. read more

I bougth this shed around 3 years ago, on November 2019 and after a while the front panels started to crack. They were supposed to be covered by a 10 year warranty but when I contacted the company they said they won't accept the claim because I didn't build a proper concrete foundation even when I placed my shed on a flat and level tile surface. I don't think that would have made any difference and I'm pretty sure they also know that. I'm really dissapointed with this shed and this company, so I do not recommend it at all. My god, I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this Shed from Home Depot (not Home Depot's fault.) I already had one shed and wanted another, so I purchased one more, put it together and after a time the left side panel caved in at the hinge where the gas shock connects. I got in touch with Suncast to purchase the left side around $27.00. I didn't want to purchase it yet as I was going out of town and couldn't be home to get it when it arrived, but the girl said there were only 3 left and no more was going to be made. Bought a shed from Costco, we actually love the shed. Easy to put together, perfect for our needs The trouble started when we wanted shelving for inside. I got in the suncast website, put my shed product number in and chose some corner shelves that were listed my shed. They arrived , and they cannot be installed. There is no cutout to accommodate the metal bracket/post that holds up the roof. I called customer service , got hung up on by the system about 5 times, waitied on hold for at lease 15 minutes and had to hang up (I was at work) and then tried again in the early evening with the call back option. They called back after about 45 minutes and the lady was less than helpful "no, per our policy you will have to pay shipping and the 15$ restocking fee","no there are no other options" finally after really pushing it and asking if there was someone else I could talk to , she said a supervisor would call back the next day. To their credit, she did and offered to waive the restocking fee but not pay shipping. I reminder her several times that it was their mistake, they should pay shipping (I already paid shipping once! ). She wanted me to email her the "link" I used to purchase (their own website! ) and the product number for the shed So I did And that's where we are Waiting for a response. I purchased two sheds that were supposed to be identical but ended up with one BMS4700X and one BMS4700Z. The BMS4700Z is supposed to be an improved version but it has design flaws. Do not purchase products from this company. They have zero integrity and will do whatever it takes to NOT back their products or honor their warranty. What should have taken a few hours is taking a few months because their shed has a design defect and they refuse to acknowledge it because that might cost them money. They will request hundreds, if not thousands of photos in the hopes that you will eventually give up and walk away. We bought a "Hose Mobile" for the backyard a year ago. It did its job just fine. It lasted about a year before the assembly where the host from the wall joins the hose mobile snapped. There's no fixing this piece of extruded plastic. I see how it happened - the hose piece that goes from the wall to the reel has no "give" to it. Fortunately, the replacement at Lowe's was just $29.98. The hose reel does a great job otherwise. The reel handle has a flip so that you can easily crank in the hose and roll it up onto the reel. It sits nicely off the ground so that there's nowhere for a snake to hide. I like it. I will be looking for a very flexible stretch of hose so that this doesn't happen again. read more

We have one of their shed and w/ the sun that beats down on the corners they crack. And back in 2019 when we bought it there was no content stating it needed to be on a concrete slab so we put it on a brick slab over sand and gravel and had it level and stable. Well NOW for the SECOND time the corners in the front are cracking and they will NOT warranty it stating it needed to be on a concrete slab or wood slab. But they warrantied it the first time! On June 9, 2014, I bought two RS125 auto rewind hose reels from Costco. On January 17, 2023, the valve handle on one of the hose reels broke and I contacted Suncast to purchase a replacement part. I had to replace a horizontal shed lid that was smashed by hurricane Milton. I called Suncast Customer Service for the part to learn that a $40 part would run over $200 to ship. They sent me an email with a quote that they had with a shipping service near me. The quote also had an asterisk that referenced this - Quote does not include any applicable sales tax. We ask that prior to calling us to complete the order, you reach out to a shipping company to confirm they allow pick up at this location and exactly how the order should be addressed to ensure proper delivery. - I called back and asked a rep what they mean by "addressed". The rep could not explain it any other way other than as it was written. Since I can read I realized that I was going to action the shipping myself or it wasn't going to happen. I called the the shipping company without a reference number for their quote or an address of where the item would be shipped from, I only had a shipping amount which is not helpful for finding an estimate. So I emailed Suncast and asked them what the reference number was for a quote. This question was so complicated that I had to break it down to a pre-K level. That's when I learned that their estimate was software generated for different shipping services so their was no contact/reference number with the referred shipper. At this point I lost my patience with their process which lacked instruction or guidance. So I quit on them, I wasted a couple of hours over a few days dealing with a Customer Support Model that does not support customers. Just figure it out! read more

purchased a deck box from Costco and within the first year the door hinge plunger would not hold the door open so it was very inconvenient. You need to hold it open with your head if you wanted to use two hands. At the store, it claims something like 10 year guarantee or warranty., these plungers are super cheap and when I requested other ones, I had a hassle where they wanted me to produce a receipt. Plastic casts are poor for where attachments should go. Only 1/4 inch of threaded screw goes into plastic on a hydraulic hinge product. read more

Still looks brand new, however, the metal crank for reeling up the hose broke in half. Spent some time on hold and with their "customer service" department if you want to call it that. SunCast sold me an outdoor storage shed that actually had the roof panel molded incorrectly and needed to be replaced. We have sent every receipt and photograph they requested 3 ( THREE ) times and they just keep running us around and playing games. We now have the roof held on with Harbor Freight zip ties. Not only have we called their 800 number numerous times and got a person that is reading a written response but emailed from home and work office. What a joke! And what a piece of garbage. We have used Suncast for years without issue. I now have a smaller shed, that is within warranty, however Suncast will not warranty the shed. It has been put together properly, it's level and it's located in a space that will not allow over extension of the doors. The hinges started cracking and I came out to find a piece of the hinge on the ground. All the explaining and photos don't mean crap with Suncast. It's obvious this particular shed has a defect, however the representative continues to blame us. The rep is insulting and unprofessional. It's obvious this company doesn't stand by their product and warranty. After all the good years, they have burned us pretty good right now, so we will no longer be a customer. Everyone beware! We bought the Suncast Covington BMS8025 , the shed it self is decent, but the instructions cost us time and money the "slab dimensions are not correct, and we had to pour concrete twice. The slab dimensions are not correct 84" x 123 1/4" that is found on page 10 of the instructions, it is 4 1/2" too short , the correct dimensions should have been 7' 41/2" W x 10' 41/2", when we poured the slab it was 4 1/2 " too short, this needs to be corrected Use the 7' 41/2" W x 10' 41/2", dimensions and then you will be fine. read more

We bought 4 sheds and one of them was missing the door latch at the bottom of the front door. We called up the main number and were treated well on the phone. OK, major contributor to the company: purchased all three shelving units: Loft, side mount shelves and bracket / hanger side mounted unit. And a BMS 7775 Alpine Shed to mount them on to. About $1,800 in all, plus $400 for the bullet proof foundation for the shed to sit on. Other reviews said, foundation must be perfectly flat and solid or doors on shed will not shut. I had some issues with the bracket / hanger unit and requested replacement parts: three vertical mounting assemblies that are screwed to the shed sides (they were bent & bowed from shipment) and my bad, broke a horizontal hanger trying to use the defective vertical units. So I requested replacements and even offered to pay for the parts. I have cut and pasted their reply. Dear Patrick, Thank you for contacting Suncast. I purchased a 134 gallon deck box by Suncast at my local Lowe's ...This was the worst product that I ever purchased! I bought it on 6/30/20 ... picked it up on 7/1/20 and assembled it on 7/3/20. Within a week the screws began popping out still in 3 days they were all out on one side. I tried numerous times to their customer service number but you can't get through. I completed a customer service complaint on their website with pictures around 7/7/20 and no one has ever even reached out to me.
