My mentor gifted me a visit for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses as a graduation gift. I loved those glasses with my WHOLE heart and wore them throughout the first couple years of my time at Cornell, prior to my prescription changing. While I now only peruse their collections in-store or online from time to time, I have always appreciated how they've kept up with the trends in styles and their wide range/variety in frame styles, shapes, colors, you name it. They offer such unique looks as well and it's just a great eyecare store. Even though I haven't had the insurance that SEE takes to have my frames and exams fully covered here, I never rule them out of rotation when shopping for new frames. I do get a slight percentage off, so I keep that in mind as well. It also helps that any time I've visited their storefront that the staff is AMAZING. I went to their store this past weekend to take a gander at some of their frames and was helped by Lillian - she was just a doll! Super sweet, kind and very knowledgeable of the frames. She helped me determine some pricing of frames that I was interested in as well as looked up my insurance benefits to give me snapshot of what my insurance would cover in their store. Again, my current insurance through my job is not an insurance that they take, however, I do get some discounts with my current insurance. All in all, this eyewear store is just a gem! They offer great service and even cooler, funkier eyewear styles. You cannot go wrong with SEE eyewear!

And she gave me a great lunch recommendation to boot. I feel it is a great value. I purchased 3 pair of glasses (progressives, reading/laptop, and sunglasses) despite the fact that they did not accept my insurance. Store is bright and colorful right on Park Ave downtown Winter Park. And my glasses will be delivered to my home, so no need to go back in unless they require adjustment (although that would have been a nice excuse to have another Winter Park lunch somewhere).

There are creases on the toe, around the ankle, and scratches on the shaft and sole. There are also slight signs of wear on the bottom too. I would like to return them." "Your website mentions that the buyer will not be financially responsible for returning damaged merchandise... I do not feel that I should be financially responsible for returning the used pair of [Doc Martens] because they were damaged on arrival." Their gaslighting response? "They are not damaged or used. That kind of leather creases and scratches just jostling around in a shipment box from the vendor or from a single person trying them on in store. I can definitely make you a shipping label for them as it will probably be cheaper, but the cost will come out of the return total." Jostling in a box does not cause creases. I've never left creases in a shoe from trying them one time either. Do you know how much abuse a Doc Marten has to incur for the soles to be scratched??? or even for this hard leather to be creases? She Did help me with my contact prescription and went through various trials until she found the right script. The glasses side however... I purchased a pair earlier in 2023. When I went to pick up, the glasses didn't feel like they fit. Too big. So I said something. The attendant put them back on my face and pressed them down into my ears telling me they were fine. I would end up going back FIVE TIMES to have the new glasses adjusted because they were too big. Each time being told thinga like "they're fine, they fit fine I don't understand what the problem is, try this adjustment out for a little while", and my favorite, "why are you working outside, of course they'll feel too big in the heat". Meanwhile, I was wearing a broken pair of old glasses because the new ones DIDN'T FIT. I go back and complain, saying I want to exchange. They did do the exchange but did not refund me the difference between the new pair that were too big and newer pair that fit.
