I don't usually leave reviews, but when someone goes out of their way to make another persons life easier it should be noted and shared. I was trying to help my younger brother find an apartment in the East Bay, but I live in SoCal. Not being present made it really hard to know what the apartments really look like and I was basically crossing my fingers that what I was being told was really how it was. Long story short, Dianna helped answer all of my questions, made extremely helpful suggestions and advised my brother on how to make an easy and quick move-in. Dianna clearly knew how to accommodate her future tenant and did so with an extremely positive attitude, which, let's be honest, you just don't see anymore. I went to tour this company last week. The representative lied to me about waiting to be approved by section 8 in order to accept section 8 vouchers. A law was passed in 2020 that requires all landlords to accept section 8 as a form of income. I was wearing my smart glasses and recording the entire time. I have reported this to the proper person. Such a wonderful experience, and I must add Diana is by far an icon on customer service. Back feb 2025 I had few things replaced with no issues at all. My water heater, dishwasher and garbage disposal. She also assisted me when I first moved in. I have read other reviews, not everyone will have the same experience. But you also have to be realistic, and yes this is also me sticking up for those who work here and are apart of the customer service. Some current and new tenants get unrealistic expectations and demands. Like wanting all new appliances whenever they want, or no deposit? It's life and you not always going to get it your way or what you want every time. Yes I would recommend this place to others, and Maria is also there to help. This place literally just gets worse and worse and worse. At this point we are considering making this a civil matter so we can end our lease early and find somewhere livable. Dianna and Maria, enjoy their residents being unhappy. They take more effort in finding ways to NOT improve the property. The washing machines here are disgusting. They look like they are never sanitized. This place is such a poorly ran property you would be shocked that there is even a single property manager, but in fact there are 2, both doing absolutely nothing to "manage" the property. They may give you a rental quote in writing, but they might change the rental amount on the forms sent to you to confirm the rental. They will insist the revised amount is correct and will not call you to discuss, clarify or correct. I guess they really don't want to rent these units. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We moved in about 5 months ago, and I have to say, Sundale North has been the worst rental experience to date. I have been patient up till now, but the negative experiences keep stacking up. Allow me to elaborate: -Security patrol officer threatened to illegally tow my vehicle, claiming that it has been parked in the same spot for 3+ days, when in fact I was parked in spot 19 for the previous 3 nights. -Management claimed to offer 24 hour laundry at the time of our application and signing of the rental agreement, when in fact laundry is 8am-10pm. -Management taped private information to my door, visible to the public. -Laundry machine has been broken for over 3 months, and not been repaired though reported by various community members. -My water has been shut off 3 times without giving notice. -This community has a cockroach infestation in the outside area and in several apartment units. I mean HUNDREDS. I know this because I have to dodge them at night while walking my dog and because a neighbor's private information regarding their infestation was taped to MY door. -Website claimed AC/HVAC and in fact there is no AC. -Neighbors set off fireworks on the GRASS underneath a TREE. -Neighbors have several noisy parties that go past 10pm. -Neighbor children ride their bikes in and out of cars and have scratched my vehicle in 3 new places. -Laundry room is filthy -Neighbors do not pick up their dog poop. While it is not fair to blame management for the unpleasant actions of neighbors, I do expect management to set up some kind of accountability or standards for the community. read more

I received excellent service at Sundale Apartments. I came here last week after a long day of looking at different apartment properties. And I have to say that Gigi is a Godsend, she helped me through the application process with ease and answered all my questions with a smile - and I had a lot of questions. Many other places rushed me through the process and seemed more concerned with me signing a lease. I appreciated that she had the patience to walk me through all the paper work, and explained exactly what information they needed and why. The property was quiet, clean, and well kept. I called the leasing office to see about availability and scheduling a tour, the lady Dianna who answered was rude and condescending just speaking over the phone, like I wasn't qualified to be able to live there or something when I was just asking general questions. She seemed irritated to answer basic questions like her time was being wasted. Ultimately will be renting elsewhere as her attitude is a huge red flag and can't imagine dealing with her for maintenance orders or otherwise. I would put zero stars but they don't give that option! read more

Apartments infesteds by bedbugs. Since i moved to this complex, i had problems with bedbugs and is not just in my apartment all the neighbors as well. I lost all my fornitures, everything!!! You all should be ashamed about that, ashamed in rent a apartment with bedbugs and without inspection, specially to do not give and solution! I've been living here for about a year now & I haven't had any major problems since. Zakira helped me to get my apt. She is very sincere & super helpful. The whole rental process was quick & smooth. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood. I don't hear a whole lot of noise at night, which is a plus. Maintenance can be a tad slow, depending on ones situation. But I'm a patient person. I like that they do have apt community events near certain holidays. I do enjoy living here. read more

This is the worst apartment complex ever. Please no one move in. They charge top dollar and give you the least. I have had to deal with cockroaches since the day i moved in. They spray but it never fixes the issue. The roaches live inside the walls as well and spray wont work. It needs to be tented. Or else there will always be roaches. And if you have experience in extermination. They will tell you you are wrong and dont know what you are talking about. Crazy roght? They wont let us break our lease even with a 1 year old kid crawling around the floor. The laundry rooms are always broken. If you mention it to management they tell you to call and get it fixed. Wow. I cant ever wash my clothes. And even when i get the chance its closed because it closes early. I work many hours a day and cant even come home to was my clothes. The main reason for me writing this review is the Front Desk Manager "Zakaria Nizam". I should say that she was very very helpful, polite and very professional. She addressed all my questions and concerns related to the apartment . I had been looking around a lot for apartments and I spoke with a lot of managers. None of them were as friendly and as flexible as she was. I had to cancel my application in last moment because of my Project relocation. However Zakaria gracefully helped me with cancellation process as well. Just recently moved here to this apartment complex me and my family.. Not even a week and the thief's end up stolen my truck that I use to use for pay my rent and bring food to the table.. They did stole everything...truck full of tools that I use to work on tile and drywall remodeling.. Next day I went to the office and ask for the video surveillance system..end up that the security system doesn't WORK!!! Plus they got cameras every single corner... But they aren't working....so sad for me bc the police cut even see the videos to arrest this Thief's vehicle people... Be carefull!! read more

I lived in Sundale North apartment for about 6 years. I made lot of memories and friends here. I would like to specially thank leasing office member "JIJI". She is very kind and helpful at all times for any maintenance issues. This apartment has month-to-month leasing agreement which makes things easy to plan. Very convenient to nearby Grocery stores and 880. Management always make sure that place is neat and clean. Its a gated community, One suggestion i would like to request Sundale management is to install Card based Laundry systems(currently its coin-based), to make things easy :-) I wish Sundale management to continue to keep up the work and keep providing best services to its tenants. read more

DISGUSTING apartments! They won't tell you when you move in, but this place is heavily infested with cockroaches- no wonder they only offer month-to-month! Also, no exhausts in bathrooms, super small apartments, no air conditioner- in the summer months, this place is literally HELL- that's how hot it gets. They have all the varieties of roaches here- american, oriental, small ones, big ones. The monthly exterminations have absolutely zero effect, since this place has been infested for years and years now. Customer service is terrible, front desk people have an attitude. These apartments didn't deserve a one-star rating, terrible apartments in the Fremont area, not having proper maintenance on the common area, you should see dog poop and dog hair in the all the laundry units, management is always careless about the maintenance and toilets will always clog, water will back flow to from the comode. these are very worse apartments. read more

Read 1 star as No Star !!! Apartment staff are friendly, No complaints against them. They are just working there as per the instructions received. Here are some pointers why you should not choose this apartment. 1) They are very old and stinky. They just paint and hand it over to you when moving in. 2) No maintenance at all with in the premises(only sweeping using air blowers once in 10 days, after they went you should clean your car yourself). Absolute 0 maintenance with swimming pools. 3) Very high rent. Pay another $50 or $100 in the same area and you will get a very good apartments with additional facilities like children play area, Gym, Tennis courts, Swimming pools etc. 4) They do Building maintenance with out paying a single penny to the tenants. If you ask them, they threaten saying owner himself is a lawyer and he is the one who decides it. 5) Kids, generally we see parents along with them. In this apt some foolish/idiotic parents always leave their kids at parking to play with out assistance. They create a lot of trouble. 6) Not a good School district. 7) You will find cockroaches and flies flying in most of the apartments. You should keep your unit absolute clean if you want to get rid of them. 8) Carpets are very bad and useless. 9) Privacy is a biggest concern. Whatever you talk(high voice) with in the home is audible to neighbors. 10) No Gym 11) No Children Play area 12) No Adult play areas 13) Swimming pools with no access or you cannot access 14) Gated community with no control over gates. Positives: 1) Staff are friendly, atleast with me. 2) Very near and accessible to all major super markets with in Fremont/accessible to 880. 3) Gated community, useful if you have kids. Currently they are doing outside Wall works. Every apartment wall takes more than 2 months, horrible noise, can't take calls or hear anything. No Body bothers or Cares about it. I won't say its best apartment but front desk customer service is really good (SPECIALLY Zakira Nizam). She made sure we move into the apartment smoothly and provided all kind of assistance. Her manager was very rude and had some weird attitude but she moved to another apartment now ;) Best part of this place is they offer month on month lease; however, for such place it is bit pricey. Living at sundales was a horrible situation. First the manager MARIA who lives at the complex's is very unprofessional. She constantly would speak with a high tone in a very disrespectful way in front of every resident. All the residents would complain about her but no one knows what to do. What kind of manager is she? Every time I'd call for maintence problems I couldn't get a hold of her. She was not good at returning calls. She always made other people call back. It's like she doesn't want to talk to anyone of us. Maintence is horrible as well. Few times I've seen her husband walk around smoke marijuana near our house. We would leave our window open at night to get fresh air cause all the units don't have A/C. The smoke of the weed would travel threw the house. The apartment would fall apart.Thank god this place was month to month. We left as soon as we can. If I could give this review a zero I would. PLEASE DONT RENT AT THIS PLACE. read more
