Some of the classes are worth more credits than others but I started going to these classes twice a week and I totally feel the burn every time and I can feel my body stating to feel different and feel stronger! Stopped by Sunday Pilates for a much needed Pilates sesh, and unfortunately, this studio fell a bit short of my expectations, and what I consider the the core philosophy of Pilates - to rehabilitate and strengthen the muscles. I'll preface this by saying I consider myself an intermediate level when it comes to my Pilates/lagree practice, with close to 100 classes under my belt and one year of experience in different studios in LA. I was excited seeing all the wonderful reviews, beautiful photos of the studio, and the Allegro 2 reformer (which I use every week), but instead of classical Pilates, this felt more like a Tracy Anderson-type exercise class where you're just kind of blindly following along what the teacher demonstrates. The class I took was very fast paced and an excellent cardio workout, but I could barely tell what the teacher was demonstrating (since we were all lying down on the reformer), and I could tell that quite a few of the other students in the class seemed to be struggling too, since everyone was doing a different version of the exercise being called. Most of the class was leg focused, with 30+ minutes of just jumping off the board and doing different leg exercises in the air before landing. While I understand that a light spring load was necessary for such a long leg-focused workout, I also found it dangerous since there's much less resistance, and a lot of us were slamming the reformer on accident or landing incorrectly/harshly, which can cause serious injury. Abs and arms were fine for me, but I definitely saw some other students who were struggling or completely could not do the exercises at all. The teacher didn't walk around or correct at all the entire class, and I felt like a lot of us could've benefited from extra attention given the high injury potential of the exercises we were doing. Front desk was nice but....really not attentive, and completely forgot to do intake + liability waivers for new clients. I had to remind her that I was still waiting to fill out the forms after class, and instead of finding online/physical paper forms (which most studios in my experience always carry), she asked us to go through our email/the website to find the forms ourselves and fill them out on our own time. Definitely a bit disappointed considering how much I wanted to love this studio and regularly incorporate my Pilates practice on my monthly visits to Reno, but unfortunately, this won't be the studio for me. read more

I don't recommend for people just starting Pilates. They don't help the new people at all. It's kind of you get it or don't and If you don't you just spent 40$ for a class that did nothing for you. Pilates is all about technique and they don't have the patience to teach it. I've been going consistently and really don't like it here but have to keep going until the membership ends. I thought by now I'd learn but honestly I've seen some tik tok videos that teach me more than the instructors here. It's in a very posh marketplace so everyone is a bit uppity and stores surrounding are very expensive with rude vibes so I'll be happy once I don't have to come back anymore. read more

At a yelp elite event in the distant past (10 years?) I went to a different pilates studio, and that was my first exposure to it. I quite loved the burn back then, so when Sunday Pilates and Amplified Entertainment collaborated for a "Sunday Service" I signed up. First: the Venue...Rancharrah. BEAUTIFUL. The studio is bright and airy and just makes you feel good and boujee when you enter. I chose the reformer closest to the window. I knew I was gonna need some core strength and was gonna look outside for some woosa energy. Second: The workout...Holy abs!! I was sore for a week! It was amazing though. The tunes played by Amplified are always amazing. The teacher was awesome and she gave me a few pointers for my form while working out. I felt zero judgment when I "just couldn't" anymore and was just huffing and puffing on the reformer. Third: Would I recommend? ABSOLUTELY. read more

I tried their complementary class on a Sunday and was left a bit underwhelmed by the instructor. The workout was fine and exactly what I was looking for but I did not feel like they were very welcoming or understanding of new clients. For example, after walking into the reformer room I chose a machine and she informed me that machine was not working properly. I decided to choose a new machine but she tells me to stay where I am since we might have a full class. I was so confused since I was already there and should have the option to choose my machine, especially if the one I choose doesn't work. Later, after class had started, she instructed me to move to another machine. This left a bad taste in my mouth. I also did not feel comfortable leaving my belongings in the front lobby/shop area. I will mostly likely not be returning since the cost does not match the quality of the service. read more

I tried Sunday Pilates upon their opening a year or so ago now and was so excited there was a Reformer Pilates studio 5 minutes from my house. I've now taken over 20 classes off and on here and I've discovered that this is the most beautiful Pilates studio, it's light and bright and like a spa environment going into the studio and has that relaxing vibe but it is so effective! On Monday's I often like to ease into the workout week and take their Sunday 101 class just to get over any soreness that I may have from the workout week. But their classes can be a variety of toughness with the Sunday sculpt, athletic and jump board are all quite challenging. This week, I visited again and took the basic class after not going in for a while. I felt my abs and legs today were toned and a bit sore! and I workout & run 5 days a week most days. To top it off it's in my favorite location in Reno, ranch harrah that has wonderful coffee, pastry shops and lunch spots nearby. Love all their teachers, classes and merchandise, especially the Sunday Haven & Flux candle - so dreamy! Highly recommend everything here! read more

Loved this studio! The aesthetic is so relaxing and modern. I also love their merchandise, the cutest pilates gear! I tried their beginner class and I really liked how slow it went to get a hold of all the movements and equipment. It's been over a year since I started going to pilates. They have a variety of classes to suit everyone's needs or skill level. I would say all the instructors are amazing at Sunday Pilates. My go-to instructors are Angela, Abbey,and Kila. Their classes are definitely intense, but they well know how to make intense workout fun! A friend brought me here my first time and I thought the studio was very chic and aesthetically tasteful. The class was okay- I didn't feel like I did a work out after and I've done a few Pilates classes before. But this second time, my sister was in town so I took her and the Sunday assets sure kicked our butt! I'm looking forward to going again. I love the variety of classes. This studio is amazing, but specifically Lisa Castaneda is the reason I get up every day and go! It's been exactly a year and I am a regular of hers 2-3 times a week. She is patient as she teaches newbies and regulars across the board, she modifies every exercise for people who may struggle with more advanced moves, she pushes us to challenge ourselves, and she has absolutely transformed my confidence. She encourages us throughout class and is often found dancing or singing along with us, which boasts the mood of the class every time. She is sunshine in human form! She changes her flows up frequently, constantly bringing new fun exercises to her lineup; I am stronger every time I go because of her! What a cute studio! I booked a class through ClassPass and was so excited to try Pilates for the first time. The front of the studio has a bunch if cute workout clothes, candles, and accessories. It's very light, airy and aesthetically pleasing! There wasn't anyone at the front desk when I came in so I checked in on the tablet and hung out until the previous class was over and we got set up. The instructor was super nice and helped me get adjusted to the reformer. I loved getting a low-impact workout in that felt self paced and less intense than typical workout classes.
