Avoid at all costs! Spent 3 weeks waiting for a lens replacement and came in on 4 separate occasions due to their issues. I was told I would receive a text when the lenses would arrive, never got a text. The staff is absolutely useless and told me that I could come in to swap my lenses 2x when in fact they couldn't. I had an amazing experience at Sunglass Hut recently! There are so many options for lux eyewear in the area and to be honest I went into SH on a whim, not really sure what I was looking for. As soon as I walked in the sales guy, Damien, greeted me with a very friendly and helpful approach. After asking some questions I was amazed at how he helped me determine exactly what style worked for me! I got Ray Bans that I love, but was a little surprised no one greeted me when I was the only customer in the store. Two days ago, I bought a pair of $300 sunglasses from Sunglass Hut. I then realized they didn't sit evenly on my face so I went back to have them adjusted. They wanted to charge me $3 to make the adjustment. Me: "Really? I just bought them. Would you have charged me $3 if I'd pointed this out when I purchased them?" Salesman: "No. It's a new store policy". Me: "Is there a manager I could speak to?" Long story short, they adjusted them at no charge. But I mean - sheesh! What kind of customer service is that? I know $3 is a pittance but it just bugged the ____ out of me. I should have walked out with them unadjusted, gone home and gotten the box and receipt, and just returned them for a refund. Woman working 10/6 in the afternoon did not greet us or engage in any conversation throughout the shopping experience whatsoever. Virtually ignored. We ended up buying so we weren't just some window shoppers. Maybe that's all they're used to? Had to say excuse me and flag her down to purchase and she didn't even say anything at all. A bit surprised by the other negative reviews. I had purchased some discounted Sunglass Hut gift cards online, and recently went there with my wife to buy ourselves 2 new pairs of glasses. We got there early on a Sunday, just as they were opening up, parked right in front, and the staff was absolutely pleasurable in helping us out. Maybe it was because we were the only people in the store at that time, so they walked us around and gave us numerous suggestions and options based on the style my wife and I each wanted. We probably spent 45 minutes in the store, never felt over-pressured to buy anything from the sales staff, and ended up with 2 great pairs (D&G and Burberry). I didnt get upsold on useless cleaners or cases or any other nonsense. Using the gift cards was simple and easy, and for the small amount we went over, paid the remaining balance on CC. read more

Stay away! Lost my sunglasses. Bought a new pair. Found my old sunglasses the next day. Went to return the new ones here. "Sorry, there's a "huge" scratch" I had the glasses for less than 24 hours. The glasses I bought were on display. I know I didn't make that scratch (which wasn't that big or noticeable. They REALLY searched the glasses to find something wrong with them) They wouldn't take them back. Jerks. Update: Went to the Beverly Center and returned them no problem!!! read more

I wear sunglasses all the time and have glasses from Louis Vuitton and Dior right through to Ray Ban's which I wear to the beach. "So what?" I hear you ask?! Well exactly - what I wear and what I or anyone else spends doesn't matter. My money is a good as anyone's and when I visited this store I went to buy a pair of glasses - in this case a $550 pair. Well - it would have been nice to get a bit of service. The young lady whom told me she had worked there for 3 years was too busy on a personal phone call to serve me. The male attendant went out the back and was missing in action. A tip to the management of this Sunglass Hut - you never know whom has money to spend - you could have made a lot more money out of my wife and I but your service was so bad, I went to another store and shopped there instead! The pair I chose were $100.00, when I got to the cash, the pair they gave me didn't have the little "Ray-Ban" emblem on the lens. When I asked about it, the manager proceeded to let me know since they were on the cheaper scale, sometimes the emblem/details weren't on the glasses, even though the pair on display had it. The words "since their under $100 came up multiple times as excuses. Word of advice to the Sunglass Hut staff, $100 for wire framed glasses is still a lot of $$ for some people, specifically this guest. Such a good experience. I'm super surprised that people are about poor customer service. Graciela, who happens to be the store manager, was such a doll. She was warm and friendly, super knowledgeable, not pushy and gave honest feedback when asked. My husband and I were there yesterday and ended up each getting a pair of sunglasses. Don't bother. In this day of retailers fighting for your business, Sunglass Hut refuses to return any gift cards that you have purchased. They don't write that on the receipt or the gift card and don't mention anything at checkout, but then say it's company policy. I would prefer to spend my money at a retailer who backs their products. read more

If I could give a -100 for this, I would. I've experienced the worse custotmer service in my life, and if an employee named Madee Moran is there, run away!! I bought sunglasses at the Beverly Center store, and was told that I could return them within 3 months at any of their locations, if I wasn't happy with them. They just had the ones on display and I said I was OK with taking them as long as the return policy would still apply. Two weeks later I returned to the store and Ms. Moran refused to give me my money back, saying that the glasses had a "huge" scratch. I felt deceived and spent a lot of time at the store trying to return the sunglasses. Finally, I left and went to the Beverly Center where I had originally bought the sunglasses. There, they returned the money immediately and told me "Where is the scratch that they were talking about? I don't see it..." Avoid the Beverly Hills store at all cost!!!! read more

Walked in here looking for a specific style of sunglasses (rayban clubmaster vs gucci). As soon as we walked in, Iman was so attentive and knew his products so well, he was able to find my ideal pair within minutes. (I had been interested in the Gucci version, but wanted to see how the Raybans looked, but Iman had me try on the Persol's, and they were perfect). Great experience with this location! Its a big store with lots of choices and brands. I was impressed with the variation in price points. You can get glasses anywhere from 99 to 599. The staff was very friendly and not pushy. I appreciated the way the sales girl was around just enough. My Maui Jim sunglass case broke and since I work in the area, I decided to just walk in and see if they could help me. I didn't purchase my sunglasses here, but since they carry Maui Jim, I thought, "what could it hurt?" I'm absolutely disappointed with this store and the entire chain of their business. They staffs are all very nice and helpful. However they sell defected glasses that have bend legs. I brought a pair of Gucci sunglasses here but as I was paying for it the cashier heated up my glasses and bend the legs without asking me. The glasses became all crooked so I exchanged them for another pair. The cashier there told me I can keep them for 3 month with free exchanges or returns and after that will be half the original price. However as I was wearing it for couple of days I felt one side was touching my face, after looking at it I noticed my left glasses leg was extremely bend toward the outside. I exchanged the glasses at another sunglass hut in Mall and they told me it's the last time I can exchange for free next time will be half price. Wtf it doesn't even add up from what I heard at differs places. Seems like a scam. And when I exchanged it she took the glasses I'm returning and bend it by the nose and legs before putting it back on display. Why do they keep bending the glasses without asking the customers what they want?! Everyone who shops there will most likely get a defected glasses since they bend it randomly. On Valentine's Day my boyfriend got me these colored aviator ray bans we have been talking about. He told me I could exchange the color as he was debating between two different ones. I went the next day to do so and when I approached the counter the woman, an older lady with dark hair and a beauty mark, picked up the phone and without looking at me said "one second". As if that wasn't enough she gave me a bunch of grief about exchanging the sunglasses that she helped my boyfriend pick out the day before. She said she couldn't find my name in the system and has A LOT of trouble finding his. Then she rudely said "so you're returning the sunglasses your boyfriend just got you for Valentine's Day?" I couldn't believe anyone would have the audacity to say that. She offered very little help and seemed annoyed i was confused by the sizing (she even told me one pair looked "bad" on me). It's insane this woman has a job in retail. Unlike the amazing experience i had at the Sunglass Hut on Robertson I will NEVER be coming back to this location. read more
