Went on a weekend to check out the store and try on some glasses. There were three workers and no other customers when we got there. We were greeted and asked if we had an appointment to which we said no, and they let us browse through. They checked in a few times and let us know of their promotions. I think their selection was not as big as the other Warby Parker I'd been to (century city), but we still spent a good amount of time trying on a bunch of pairs. We didn't end up buying anything then, but we may go back or perhaps to the bigger location once we are set on purchasing a new pair. I would not return or recommend this shady place. The cashier was not welcoming. The place was busy and I waited near a clerk (youngish blond curly hair person) who was helping someone. I sat down because it was taking long. Another woman walked in after me and they helped her instead. I engaged with another worker who asked me if I wanted an eye exam or eyes and contacts. I said eye exam only. I told her I had insurance. She said they would process it. I had the exam then after paying and leaving noticed that an extra retina scan for $40 was charged. I didn't ask for it and no one said it was part of the exam. Upon checking out, the same clerk who ignored me earlier charged me but did not check insurance causing me to pay more. I had to go back the next weekend (because you can't call the store directly ) to have my insurance processed. When I returned, I asked about the extra retina scan that I didn't ask for and the lady said, "the doctor likes to do them". She did apologize that no one told me about the extra charge but blamed it on being a very busy day. You should have to opt in not be forced to get an optional product. read more

After getting my eyes tested last week for some new reading glasses, I took my prescription to this location after work yesterday and was blown away by how easy the process was. I came in, spent maybe five minutes looking through the large glasses selection, found the pair that I wanted, and the gentleman had me finished in only a few minutes. I didn't have to do a crazy amount of paperwork or literally do anything except answer a few questions and the glasses will be shipped to me upon completion. Overall, I've very excited to get my new Warby Parker glasses and I will absolutely be a return customer in the future. What a mess of a store. First of all, no I don't want to try on all your frames that are on display and that you do not bother to clean. Literally hundreds of people are putting those glasses on their faces and placing them right back on the display rack. Even then, when you find a pair you like, they are quick to charge you but will send you a follow up email with a receipt for the wrong pair, and when you call to ask why they'll tell you it's because the ones they charged you for are no longer in stock. I came here for an eye exam last weekend and I could not be more unimpressed. The optometrist truly didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She barely had me look at an eye chart, maybe had me look at 5 pictures with each eye on a screen. She was insistent that I have an astigmatism, which I do not. The glasses she created for me to look out of during the appointment were literally so blurry I couldn't see out of them -- yet the ones I walked in with (without an astigmatism as part of the prescription) are still perfectly clear. She told me that one eye just won't ever be 20/20 even with a prescription. Um ... as someone who's nearsighted with a fairly low prescription, that's not something I've ever heard. Also, isn't the point of glasses to make the eyes be 20/20 looking out of them? Overall I was super unimpressed and paid $120 for a prescription I won't be using. read more

I tried on glasses and ordered, when they came they were completely different. I went back and checked, they have medium width to try on but they are only available in wide now. Didn't mention that just ordered me something different. I got my own off the website then went in to get them adjusted. When I said they were to loose (as in just came from the factory not fitted at all). The guy grabbed pliers and bent the arms aggressively in and went "there you go". I didn't even bother to try to go further. But for the store you have to look at the glasses and adjust them to fit level and comfortably on the persons face. Just don't offer adjustments if you don't offer adjustments. I went home and fixed them myself. read more

Good efficient service. Everything was great and would have been 5 stars all the way, but just as we neared the goal line of actually delivering the product, it all fell apart. WB uses USPS to deliver, no other options. I waited around all day only to be informed the USPS couldn't deliver due to "No access to building." Well, duh! You do need to use the call box to contact me so I can let you in and receive the package. I've lived here for years and have never experienced this problem with deliveries. Is this too complicated to expect a delivery person to use a call box or is that just too high tech for these people? Couldn't WP at least offer the option to pick up one's glasses at their physical location where they were ordered? Warby Parker needs to up their game when the last step of a transaction is ruined by incompetent delivery. This experience casts a pall over the entire relationship with this company. read more

This review is for the company of Warby Parker and not for this specific location. For several years, I have used Warby Parker for my eyeglasses and while the frames are good the lenses are garbage. I opted to purchase the scratch resistant lenses which has proven to be nothing more than a money making gimmick. Three times with three different pairs of glasses I have had to use the scratch warranty within the six month period allowed. It's a cycle of new glasses....replacement under the warranty.....new glasses....replacement under the warranty I now have a pair I can barely see out of because they are so badly scratched. I use lens cleaning wipes or cotton fabric to clean them....nothing harsh After an online chat asking for these to be replaced, I was denied because in August 2023 this pair was a replacement for a pair purchased in March. So since March 2023 I have had glasses so badly scratched they needed to be replaced twice. Warby Parker refused to replace the lenses and only offered to assist me in spending another $400+ in a new pair. read more

I think WP offers great value for their product. HOWEVER, this specific store seems to have the worst opticians. They might sport super hip haircuts and you might see cool tats all over their arms and maybe you'd hear them talking about how they went to see Snail Mail for the umpteenth time at the Fonda but they are the worst opticians I've ever dealt with and I think I know because I've been wearing glasses for the last 25 years of my adult life. I'm hesitant to get any glasses at WB because the glasses I get adjusted by these guys end up hurting my head or face and no matter how many times I visit, they can't seem to get it right and they insinuate that this is a problem I have to deal with because my head is too small? It's not that they're rude or mean; they're very solicitous when you're buying glasses, but very dismissive when you'd like your glasses adjusted so that they don't constantly fall off your face or squeeze your temples like an artificial migraine. Maybe I just have to go to another branch but I doubt things will be any better at the Silverlake store. read more

Bought a pair of glasses here several weeks ago. Everyone I spoke with was helpful and nice and overall, I think the experience was pretty solid. As with most eyeglass stores, it's a little deceptive because frames typically are the least expensive part of the whole purchase. Sure you can buy a pair of frames here for $95 but I wear high index progressive lenses for example which means the lenses alone were like $350 more. Still, upside is the buying process was straightforward and since I walked in with a prescription already, it was really easy to just pick out a pair of frames I liked and pay the bill and wait like five days for them to come in the mail. The downside is wish they would've offered more opinion and consultative advice about which frames look and fit my facial structure best. To be honest, I don't want one person to help me in a store like this. I want three or four staff to offer up their opinion about which frames look the best on me and why. I mean take me outside the store and show me what the frames look like in the sun, for example. read more

First and foremost, some people are super hero's and don't know it!! I usually don't do reviews often, but I felt the need to do one for this particular gentleman. I am a huge fan of Warby Parker, and have been for the past few years now. I'm really big on customer service, as I feel it shows who actually cares and enjoys their work. I will say this, for the past year or so of me frequenting this particular store, which is the 3rd street, Los Angeles location, I have had the pleasure of dealing with several different employees there. All of them are pretty cool, but there is always a star, and his name is Jermaine Taylor!!! Jermaine has always been a big help, and always willing to help customers figure out what they're looking for. It's not just me that I've noticed this with, but with everyone I've had the chance of seeing him interact with. He's always so eager to help, and also does it with a spirit of kindness, love and compassion! Someone who is willing and smiles when they are doing their job. He seems to have a passion for helping people, and the tenacity to accomplish seeing every customer satisfied. I'm brand new to wearing glasses, and for all new glasses wearers, the process can be overwhelming, to say the least. Not only are you getting used to seeing the world differently, but there are so many frames and styles to do so. And just when you think you found the right pair, you need to adjust and adjust or try something else altogether. And throughout the entire process, Warby Parker has been truly incredible. While you do have to wait for glasses to be manufactured, they often arrive in the mail within just a few business days. Also, anti-glare and anti-scratch lenses are INCLUDED in the cost of your frames; plus there is no sales tax. So you can get a pair of glasses for $95 TOTAL, and that's BEFORE insurance! Now, what's the best part? The customer service. It is truly something else. Every time I call in, I get my question answered within minutes by a friendly representative. Or if I go into the store, exchanges and returns are HASSLE-FREE. I've had to return a few pairs of glasses due to them not fitting right after adjustments or not suiting me well in general, and everything was SO EASY. I even apologized for the constant exchanges, but the staff constantly assured me that my satisfaction was their number one priority and that all frames are either donated or recycled, meaning that there is no need to feel guilty for your process, however long it may be! And if you end up choosing this store, ask for Chloe. She's the best! :) read more

I have always been a big fan of Warby Parker, having purchased lenses from their stores in DC and Boston, and this location is AMAZING! Long story short, I somehow found the worst optometrist in Los Angeles who sent me on a goose chase to get my correct prescription. But Warby Parker saved the day, helping me exchange my glasses until they were perfect. That being said, I can't speak to the in house optometrist. In the past few months, I've gotten new prescription glasses and non-prescription polarized sunglasses. Everything about the experience, from trying frames on, to check out, to having the optician's adjust the new frames, it's a breeze. The team here really is fantastic. Adam is great, and Richard has taken such great care of me every time I go! Even though Richard's moving to a new Warby Parker location soon, this little corner of W 3rd will miss him! read more

Very impressed with Warby Parker. I visited this establishment after breaking my eyeglass frames and I went on the recommendation of Consumer Reports who named them the best place to buy eyeglasses. The associates here are tremendous in customer service. They attempted to first fix my frame which was not possible. I booked an eye examination the same day and the doctor, Doctor Stephanie was terrific. The associates that helped me Stephan and C.J we're excellent and very patient with me explaining my options. Free valet parking or meter parking for $2.00 is available. I highly recommend this location to all. read more

RUDE staff that has ZERO disregard for customer safety. I had an appointment for an exam. The employee there refused to give me my space and acted INDIGNANT when I backed away from him and told him to social distance. He had the AUDACITY to act as if he was offended and went off into the back and huffed and puffed, daring to DISRESPECT A PAYING CUSTOMER. Don't forget, I AM A PAYING CUSTOMER in your store. It is your job as en employee to service me. Not act as if you are OFFENDED when I tell you to back off. Very rude. Very unprofessional. I walked out immediately. Why would I want to give my business and money to a business with such a rude employee who takes it personally and thinks this is about HIM? HE is not special. I would tell ANYONE to back off. I take social distancing very seriously. I have the right to protect myself even if it makes you uncomfortable. What kind of narcissist who works in customer service takes this personally and takes it as a personal affront? What kind of entitled person feels like they are entitled to being in my space? For what? I have the right to protect myself as my life is at risk here as Covid is still around. Also note that NO ONE in the store was wearing a mask. As a "medical" facility (they do have an eye doctor here) they should as when I go to Kaiser Permanente the entire staff is masked. Also under "Amenities" under this Yelp listing for Warby Parker it states "Amenities and More Masks required Staff wears masks ". That was the reason why I booked my appointment, I assumed they would take safety seriously as their Yelp listing states that staff and customers must wear masks. I walked into an empty store (no customers) with 4 maskless employees just standing around. Seriously?! This is totally inaccurate. They don't wear any. Also, after the employee left I discussed this with another employee and he claimed that most customers here do not wear mass and aren't social distancing and that verbatim "not everyone agrees with it". WTF? Who asked if you agreed with it? What does that have to do with me? It's irrelevant. If I ask you to back off from me, respect that. . What kind of business is blatantly disrespectful to a customers request like this? Horrible. Luckily I can order online from another retailer and I will not be coming back here ever again. Have been a WP customer for many years and I loved the employees and also the brand. I ordered 3 lens replacements on three frames, all from WP. One frame came damaged and I didn't realize until after the 30-day policy. Anyhow I went to the store and waited for about 45 minutes for the manager who was going to make good on giving me a new frame, that's what they told me. Some girl / lady appeared who wasn't the manager and went on to tell me that my frames are no longer made and also she wouldn't replace the frame because they have high quality QC and my frames were 5 years old. And she wasn't the manager. I could go on and on with many many many issues we have had with them but stayed loyal to the brand. Anyway she was the girl working there on friday around 5:45PM and totally was willing to not jus lose one customer but about a dozen of us that were shopping there because of me. I would have paid full price had she had some courtesy to be honest that their QC is SHIT and they have shiity customer service. read more

Don't get your eye exam here. I drove 40 minutes through traffic to try to get an eye exam. As a result of traffic and parking (esp. in this neighborhood which is terrible), I was 14 minutes late for my appt. If you are 14 minutes late during rush hour for a doctor or dentist appt, they understand. I guess optometrists are way more important, because the optometrist refused to see me. There are 5 salespeople standing in the store doing absolutely nothing. I would have bought my contacts and 2 pairs of frames but I don't think the sales people want to sell anything. I am never going to a Warby Parker again. For an "innovative company" that supposedly has good customer service, the experience was terrible. The shop is run like a shoddy DMV branch, with a bunch of lazy sales people and even lazier optometrist just standing around refusing to work. I think they should put this branch out of its misery and convert it to a taco shop. At least when I try to spend money buying tacos I don't get turned away because the staff is too lazy to make them. read more

This review is for my experience with prescription eyeglasses and prescription sunglasses. Everyone working up front is stellar. Seriously! They aren't salespeople, they are there to truly help you find what works and make sure you leave a happy/lifelong customer! Adam provided exceptional assistance on more than one visit (quite a few visits actually haha) and he clearly knows how to troubleshoot any issues (mine were minor and he fixed them immediately). I'll keep it short but I have an astigmatism and it's been a struggle finding the correct prescription glasses/sunglasses. So much so that I was wearing my old pair of glasses for 10 years! Anything else I tried failed sadly. Well... now I have new glasses and couldn't be happier thanks to Adam! Chad was also extremely helpful and made my overall experience comfortable! I'd skip this Warby Parker if you can and go to the one in Pasadena or Century City. When I pointed out that my vision was clearer if I angled my head down slightly and looked through the top of the lense, the two opticians kept insisting I just needed to get used to the glasses. On top of which, their attitude was condescending. So I went to the Pasadena store, and I barely had to explain. She understood the issue right away and sent the glasses in for a redo. I went over to JT to have my frames adjusted & he was very patient with me! A tweek here, another tweek there and they were PERFECT! He noticed that my glasses were fogging up because of my mask which was causing me difficulty in ordering my Uber. He sprayed some defogger on the lenses & voila! I could see!
