I received a call on the weekend before stating it wasn't covered by my insurance even though the doctor indicated the consultation was covered during my regular eye exam. When I called back, they said it was an error on their part. 45 minutes before the appointment, I receive a voicemail with the same problem. When I called back, the receptionist then said the appointment was canceled because they didn't have the staff/equipment at the Pleasanton office. This could have been easily avoided and it was unprofessional they canceled the appointment within an hour of the scheduled time.

I wasn't sure what to expect, especially since I was able to get a same-day appointment (which made me wonder if that was a good or bad sign!), but I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and responsive -- I appreciated that they followed up with a text after my missed call to help me schedule the appointment. Dr. Miller was extremely thorough with my eye exam and had a great sense of humor, which made the visit comfortable and easy. The assistant was so sweet and took her time helping me choose a new pair of glasses, which I really appreciated. Overall, I'm happy I made the switch, and I feel confident about trusting them with my eye care moving forward!

When I first came into the office, I was honestly a mess dealing with double vision, blurry vision and just not being able to see properly at all. I had already seen other doctors who never really got to the bottom of it which was frustrating and a little discouraging. But Dr. Kim was completely different. She really takes her time. I never once felt rushed during any of my visits. She listened carefully to everything I said, asked thoughtful questions and ran multiple tests to really understand what was going on, not just patch things up. On top of that, she's just a genuinely kind and personable doctor which makes the whole experience so much easier and more comfortable. After multiple visits now, I can honestly say she's one of my favorite doctors I've ever had. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone especially if you're struggling with getting the right prescription for contacts or glasses or if you're dealing with vision issues that aren't straightforward and need someone who will really dig in and figure it out. They refused to give me a quote without evidence of prescription, which I did not bring with me. The reason for why they couldn't simply look it up was even more ridiculous where they stated they can't provide me with even a range on the pricing because they would have to create a dummy account and it would be confusing for their staff. One of the staff even rolled their eyes which was extremely frustrating. I recommend everyone to stay away from this store.
