I had an appointment with Dr. Brockenbrough and was impressed with how quickly everything happened…read more After checking in at the front desk, I hadn't even completed filling out my paperwork before a nurse moved me to a patient room. After the nurse left, I continued filling out my paperwork, and then Dr. Brockenbrough arrived and provided a great evaluation of my ears, nose, and throat. I was in and out of EvergreenHealth in 30 minutes! While the appointment was short, Dr. Brockenbrough was very genuine and empathetic. He cleaned out my ears for me, even though it wasn't part of the reason I was visiting for the appointment. He explained my options in easy to understand language, without making me feel belittled, and was responsive to my questions. In the end, he let me make the decision whether or not to proceed with a tonsillectomy, but made points to support not needing one. I really appreciated his honesty and considerations he shared with me. A note on getting to his clinic.... Be sure to follow the directions the receptionist shares when you make your appointment. There are two ENT clinics in the EvergreenHealth area, and I ended up starting at the other one by following the pin used on Google Maps (they said this happens daily). It is NOT the 440 suite on the "tan floor." This specific ENT office is on the other side of the roundabout from the taller Evergreen building in suite 400. Check with the information desk when you enter the building just to make sure you're in the right place before heading up the elevators just in case (and if you end up at the wrong ENT, it took 5 minutes or less to get to the correct one).

I have visited this Ear, Nose, and Throat Care office five times now for my chronic sinus…read moreinfection, or chronic sinusitis to be precise. The five visits cover initial consultation with Dr. Jennifer Heydt which extended to include a pre-op consultation, a visit for a head CT scan, followed by three post-op visits. At least one more visit is in the horizon, but hopefully, that is the last. This review addresses only this facility and the general staff. Throughout the five appointments, I had zero issues with scheduling, checking-in, being seen in a timely manner, and scheduling follow-up appointments. The front desk staff is courteous. So are the nurses of this office. On the days that I needed more time to recover after a post-op 'suction' appointment before I can leave the clinic room, I was never hurried, I was always told to take my time. The nurses are always very kind and patient. I am perhaps too famous for my extreme case of infection, and everyone was always very nice to me. Thank you for that. The facility has everything it needs. It feels a bit small, but that is understandable given all the doctors perform surgeries as well and are not always using the office. The day of my appointment I got a phone call saying whoever I was supposed to see was out of office that day and they had to reschedule my appointment. The next available appointment they offered me was 2 weeks away, after I had already been waiting a month to see someone. When the day of the appointment finally came, I spent 15 mins driving around trying to find the office and ended up in the wrong office building down the street from where they were located. When I called them to find out where exactly to go, they said that I was too late and they had to reschedule me AGAIN because I was going to be 5 mins late by the time I got there. The receptionists were extremely rude to me on both occasions and made it very clear that they do not care about their patients. Based on this experience I made an appointment somewhere else instead.

He explains each step to you, doesn't rush you, makes sure he has all the information needed and tells what you might feel for the entire process. Also I've never felt the need to call the doctor after the surgery as he told me what will happen step by step. Thanks for making my surgery so much predictable and without any trouble. Amongst the names, my husband recognized Dr. Jennifer Heydt as the person he saw when he was having seemingly non-stop nosebleeds and miraculously fixed it in one appointment. Naturally, I picked her name amongst all others. Seeing her during the first visit, she expressed amazement at the magnitude of infections my CT scans show (well, it has been nearly a year of symptoms). I had done my research, and as expected, she recommended surgery. Despite my research and her immediate recommendation, I still have some hesitations. I went through the motions of pre-op consultation and scheduling. Days later, I called back and expressed my hesitations. To my surprise, it was Dr. Heydt herself who called me back. She was able to calm my nerves, and I agreed to the surgery. Perhaps my case was much more extreme. My recovery was far more difficult than she let on. I was told that I would have mild bleeding for 24 hours. I wasn't told that I would be a mouth-breather for a week, interrupted sleep that required me to be sitting instead of laying normally, and have bloody globs coming out of my nose. I saw her one week later during the first post-op, and she literally vacuumed an insane amount of goo out of my nasal passages. The process scraped all my nerves, but I felt a ton better afterwards. I could breathe! Well, like comedians have said - tragedy plus time equals comedy. Perhaps Dr. Heydt was expressing less recovery than reality because she knows I needed to hear that to proceed with the surgery. It isn't quite over yet, but I am getting there thanks to Dr. Heydt. Dr. Allegra has performed 3 procedures on my me. The first in my late 20's, I had monthly sinus…read moreinfections and had to pay out of pocket for the prescriptions due to some complications in insurance. My primary doc, Dr. Mary McGregor, said no more prescriptions until I saw Dr. Allegra, she called my hand. He took a look and scheduled surgery without hesitation. Within a couple of weeks I felt like a new person, I had energy, I didn't take a 4 hour nap after work, I could exercise, life was great. In my early 30s husband and I moved to Michigan for job advancement. While there I was exposed to black mold, it was in our home. I kept getting sicker and sicker, no medical person could figure out why I was sick. I will say the symptoms were odd and complicated. So one day my husband quit his job, came home and said we are going home (Seattle) and find out what is wrong with you. It sounds dramatic but until you are around black mold and get sick you can't understand. I could give details but I really don't want to, it was the sickest I had ever been to the point that I had severe hearing loss, which fortunately turned out to be temporary and many other symptoms. Dr. Allegra got me in quickly and had my sinuses scanned and I was off for surgery for the 2nd time. Anyone who has had this surgery knows recovery is not fun, but the very next day I felt so much better, my husband and I were so relieved and happy. The 3rd time which was a month ago it was to fix a deviated septum. I suddenly realized I couldn't breath through one side of my nose. After I mentioned this, my lovely daughter said that even from down the hall my snoring would wake her up, it actually woke me up too, my husband said he could hear me downstairs. I was a mouth breather! So off to see Dr. Allegra again. Today I am not waking anyone up, I can go up the stairs and not stop to catch my breath. Back to living fully thank you Dr. Allegra. Dr. Allegra came highly recommended to me and I would and have recommended him to friends who were thankful for the referral. He knows he stuff. Dr. Allegra is not the kill time talker, but gives you the time you need, he has a good bedside manner, he is much more work oriented, which is what I want in a doctor. He has a kind heart and cares for and about his patients. I hope not to have sinus surgery #4 but if that were to happened he would be the doctor to do it.

I was in a deep, deep depression for the year and a half after the botched job, and Dr. Lamberti was able to provide exactly what he said he would. Unlike other plastic surgeons, he doesn't keep a pretentious office or surgery center, it seemed to be a regular hospital but the quality of his work is much better than the flashy practices. He also doesn't get overly personal with patients and sticks to business in a friendly way which I respect. From my experience I would say you can definitely trust him, it is expensive but for me I got my life and identity back which makes it worth it.

Proliance ear nose and throat…read more Accident delayed caused lateness and it took over an hour and half to get there! Then it took another half a hour to get through the building, parking and two elevators!!!! All to be told, come back another day! With a nonchalant attitude! No empathy, understanding or compassion, just plain BLAH! After all the time to get there and another month to reschedule!

Dr. Knapp is a god-send! I have been miserable the last 5-6 years. I couldn't breathe, was coughing…read moreconstantly, couldn't lose my baby weight because I'd go to the gym and be wheezing and have to stop. Probably worst of all were the constant sinus infections, 5-8 infections each year. I was always on antibiotics--the last infection took me through four different antibiotics and none would help. I was referred to Dr. Knapp's office a couple months ago, and he went through my CT scans, did an exam, and determined the root cause of my problems: small cavities, infected tissue that no medication would help, deviated septum, and just very small airways. He gave me lots of options, and also mentioned surgery. I have heard how awful sinus surgery is, but he told me that while he can't guarantee it to cure 100% of my ailments, that it would make my life significantly better. So, I went in a month ago and had turbinate reduction (he took an inch off from one cavity!), removal of the infected tissue and opening of my passageways, as well as a septoplasty. A month after the surgery now, I feel like my entire life has changed. I haven't coughed once! I used to stay up all night coughing, every night. The recovery has had some pretty disgusting parts, but I can't tell you how amazing it is to be able to breath. I only had dissolvable packing, which I heard is the worst part of the recovery, and no bruising at all. He's a miracle worker, and his staff is fantastic: his nurse was always available to me, (he even called me twice on the phone, which I have never heard of a doctor doing before), and his billing staff worked diligently to get my stubborn insurance to cover the cost. Another reassuring point is that I see an amazing doctor for my asthma and allergy issues, and he and Dr. Knapp told me the same things about treatment, ailments, recovery, without ever even talking to each other. I was very impressed that these doctors were on the same page. :) He's amazing!
