Stopped by the SunLife Organics on Heathercliff after a day at the beach. They have a new Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Hwachae, which was so refreshing. Very sweet, but very hydrating. This smoothie is literally made for the girls and comes with a complimentary Glow Recipe skincare gift bag. The service was really kind and patient. BARFF BARFFFF BARF EW DISGUSTING. No this is not okay. Waste of money, waste of time, waste of space on this earth, destroyed my taste buds. God that was actually the most disgusting thing i've ever drank in my life. Ten dollar ahh drink just for it to taste like rotten cheese & dirty water. The matcha is literally so freaking gross. I threw mine in the trash after trying to force myself to like it for four sips MAX. Stomach ache in a cup. Nah.. that's so foul idk how they have business. This place is a true gem and honestly holds a special place in my heart. Their açaí bowls are next level--always fresh, perfectly made, and seriously addictive. Love love loveeee Sunlife Organics. One of the best acai bowls I have ever had. This spot definitely gets busy so be prepared to wait but it's totally worth it. I usually get the Buddha bowl but this time I opted for the Hawaiian bowl. The fruit is super fresh and I loved the coconut shavings on top. I work in the area and needed to get something fast that's also healthy to have as breakfast while driving. Stopped by this sunlife location for a smoothie & went with "Mystic" based on the cashier's suggestion. I asked about the level of sweetness & he said it's not too sweet. I waited about 15 mins which was less than ideal given that I thought this would be "quick". What made the anticipation worse is the disappointment I faced when I took my first sip of the drink. The drink 1/5 It looked pretty but the taste... just no. The drink was soooo sweet (unlike what the cashier had told me). The worst part is that all I could taste was banana and vanilla protein powder. It didn't taste like anything else at all. I'm not kidding when I say I had to take a sip of water every time I took a sip from this drink. I was really hungry & had no other choice since I was driving back to my job but to drink this smoothie to avoid getting a headache. Price 1/5 What a waste of $19!!! I could've had a whole meal for breakfast with this much money. At least erewhon smoothies taste good & unique for the money you pay. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A smoothie, healthy drinks and bowls place that has counter service and you sit outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a line, but that moved quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is plenty of outdoor seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only had the bowls, which were priced in-line with everything else in the neighborhood (though we didn't try the Chipotle, which would be a good baseline to see if your being overcharged). Anyway, the greek yogurt bowl with fruit was good/fresh. The other bowls were reported to be good also .... But ... there is just too much food in one bowl. No one needs a small trashcan sized bowl of yogurt that has 900+ calories. IMO, charge less and use smaller cups and have less food waste. No one really takes these home and eats them later, because 1 min after you start eating it, the food in the bowl turns into a soupy mess. Low key, once we left, turned the corner and saw the falafel place, we were smacking our heads for not getting that instead. read more

Amazing Service! I've never had such great service from a smoothie place! Sarah, Dennise, Kennedy, and Stefany are so lovely. They went above and beyond to help me as I ordered close to 15 drinks. The shakes are definitely very healthy and tasty.. I definitely come back again. I would recommend anybody who wants to get a smoothie to come here. Really disappointed with my visit to the Malibu SunLife on Heathercliff. I ordered the Brazilian Bowl and it was completely melted when I got it -- no wait time, just handed to me as liquid. There was barely any açaí, maybe 1/8 of the bowl was full, and the rest was just granola. For $18.50, I basically paid for granola soup. I tried freezing it, but it turned into mushy oatmeal. I've had this bowl before and it was great, but this was unacceptable. I left a review and am requesting a full refund. Don't waste your money. They gave me a full refund and were very helpful! read more

First time coming here. Came at 11am on a Saturday and the parking lot was pretty full. But you can find parking next door like we did if needed The Wolverine protein shake was filling and worth the price. Between that and the cookie doughbites i had spent $30 and was shocked but they were both really good, no complaints here. Plenty of açaí bowl options that my friend took advantage of. Pretty quick service and plenty of seating outside to see all the other cafes and stores. read more

Though there were a lot of people in the shop, and there was a line to order, the workers were fast and it was no time at all before I was at the front of the line putting in my order. The EVERGY SHOT I ordered was great and seemed to work. It might be placebo effect only, but the cleanse I got after felt great :) It's not cheap. read more

The smoothie bowls here are really good. They do have. Good variety of options. My smoothie bowl that I tried was a more tropical and orange tasting. This is rather unique since most smoothie bowls I try have banana as a strong flavor. I did enjoy the toppings. The fruit was very fresh and the granola was tasty. I am not so sure it is worth the $20 it basically costs though. The location is in a shopping center which is nice to have easy parking. There are some tables outside which is nice to sit at. This is a great healthy smoothie and acai bowl spot at the Malibu Country Market, perfect for a bite after hiking. It's a bit on the pricey end but everything is tasty and good quality. We ordered açaí bowl from Sunlife Organics at Heathclif rd. About a fifth of the bowl was acai and the rest granola and few berries on the top. They should call it Granola bowl,rather. When we went to complain, they told me this is the way they make it and took it back without offering of a refund or replacement. So, bad service on top of it. read more

I was recommended this place for the smoothies and possibilities of seeing celebrities at this location . The strawberry matcha was amazing! Came in on Friday 9/6 at 15:00 and ordered 2 smoothies. When my order was called, I walked up to get them and the chick with the tattoo on her forearm walked away for some reason causing me to wait. So I asked for it and she replied, "it's right there" as if she expected me to reach over the tall glass that was in the way or go outside to grab them myself through the window or something. And then on top of that, I was missing a drink and when I asked about it she said she would make me a new one. Idk what happened to the old one? As 5-10 minutes go by, I never heard my order get called once again so I went to go check up on the drink and the same numb skull employee that was supposed to make my new drink was nowhere to be found. I had to go ask another employee about it just to find out it's been sitting in the blender the whole time. So you mess my order up not once, not twice, but three times. Whole time looking like she didn't even wanna be there. Overall just a terrible experience. read more

solid acai bowl spot! the only reason why i'm giving this 4 stars is because i feel like the price point doesn't really match the quality. my boyfriend got a mango/pineapple smoothie (i forgot the name and price) and i got the samurai bowl. the bowl was about $20 total which i don't think is worth it. although they did give alot and it tasted amazing, it wasn't anything special and i feel like id just stick to Blue Bowl. but if you're in the area, i think it's worth trying! it's in malibu mart and the place is so fun to be in and hang around! workers were also very nice. read more

So, mostly hit the other two locations near me in Thousand Oaks and the other Malibu location on Cross Creek....but hit this spot the other day in route to Zuma Beach! Really did not live up to the standard to other locations and most in my group were disappointed to say the least! My friend and I shared the Brazilian Bowl after a short hike nearby. I'm glad we shared because it was really filling. The bowl was pretty big - the açaí was so good! But the majority of the bowl was filled with granola, which is why it was so filling. The strawberries and bananas on top were fresh and sweet. The store is narrow but there's outside seating. The smoothies here are really good, however I went with my three friends and we each got a smoothie. I ordered mine first, and then waited over 10 minutes for my friends smoothies to be finished, mind you we were the only people in the store the entire time!! One guy took the trash out while the other girl was doing the dishes. Nobody was making the rest of the drinks!!! I drank my whole entire drink while waiting for my friends smoothies. Today was my first time. Menu is rich. They have shakes and juices and some other organic stuff. I tried Malibu Sunrise. It was delicious, order was easy, they took my phone no to text me when it's ready. It wasn't super busy but it took over 10 mins to have it. At least I did not have to wait inside. I ordered the pink cloud smoothie and Brazilian bowl (original acai bowl). I think the acai bowls are worth the price. It's not icy, however since it was a hot day it melted and became watery way too fast. The pink cloud smoothie tastes like the blended fruits with no added sugar. I tasted mostly of the dragon fruit. It didn't taste sweet at all and I wasn't expecting that since it had banana. If you're looking for a sweet smoothie, this isn't for you. Overall, SunLife Organics definitely uses fresh real fruit and is natural tasting. I recommend for those who are health conscious.

I really liked Pura Vida because of it's "health and wellness" angle. In re-reviewing the menus here, I noticed several items that were over 1,000 calories - not quite as health-conscious as I remember, but I knew it had to be just as delicious. Thankfully, I was right. I had the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl which comes with a generous helping of avocado, cucumber, arugula, green onions / scallions, radish, spicy mayo, cilantro rice, and raw tuna. For about $35 with tax and tip, this was a rather hearty lunch that two people could easily share. I didn't mix it, as I prefer to eat ingredients separately, and received a soy ginger sauce on the side to complement the flavors. My friend opted for the Spicy Salmon Wrap, made with a specifically gluten-free wrap. That option comes with cooked salmon (which she found to be dry), edamame, carrots, avocado, and cilantro rice - as well as a side of fruit and the same soy ginger dressing/sauce I had. She wasn't wow'ed by the flavor, which may be because of the wrap, or the gluten-free nature of the preparation, or the salmon itself. The exterior patio seating is new, fun, and reminds me a bit of the La La Land coffee shop in Calabasas. Gorgeous place to have brunch or lunch outdoors and soak in some Malibu overcast. Service was efficient, personable, and polite. Plenty of staff to handle the crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out quickly and tables were bussed in a timely manner. Free parking is available in the back lot, or else in the underground garage. There's also valet parking for $8 (all-day) toward the front.

It opens to an attractive seating lounge and bar. Straight ahead is the patio dining area. Friendly staff greeted us and brought drinks promptly. We tried the strawberry ricotta pancakes. For breakfast we choose a few different things from the fresh food bar...bacon, potatoes, a slice of avocado toast and wife chose the baked sweet potato topped with an egg. So dang good and healthy and we felt so good not eating fast food! The avocado toast was the best I've had with smashed avocado topped with sliced hard-boiled egg and pea sprouts. The bacon was crispy and flavorful and the potatoes were great. I wish I would have taken more photos because they had so much to offer! Right off the 101 in Calabasas, this is a great break on a road trip and will satisfy anybody looking for a meal or snack. We also got some strawberries, nuts, apples, and wife got some of the Seven Ade lemonades...this brand is hard to find and she loves it when she does!

The location has plenty of parking, which is always a plus in this area, and there is a nice outdoor dining space in front where you can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air while you eat. What really stood out was the customer service. One of the employees working near the deli area, I didn't catch his name, but I remember his distinctive earring and tattoos, provided exceptional service. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that customers had a great experience. The entire store was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. Even the restrooms were spotless, which says a lot about how well the business is managed. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'll definitely be stopping back the next time I'm in the area.

Now imagine it costs twice as much as Whole Foods. Boom. The only reason why it's 3.5 on 5 is the exceptional customer service. Really really nice and down to earth staff. You'd only go there if you are a tourist or a local who doesn't want to drive to a decent grocery store. Everything is mediocre. Ingredients are not clean. There's a lot of variety, from cut fruits to breakfast burritos, baguettes to bagels, sandwiches to poke. Many of the wraps and sandwiches looked sad and dry. $12 for cut papayas and $19 for small cut mixed fruits (if you are thinking organic, nada conventional). It's still decent to pickup overpriced staples in a rush, convenience, but not for stocking up your kitchen. Will we be back, probably, since any other store in western Malibu is a minimum half hour commute.

The coleslaw benefits from salt and a squeeze of lemon or a few drops of the malt vinegar on the table (also good with the fries of course). I'm not sure why they don't season their fish or batter - but maybe they figure it's best to keep it unsalted and people can add seasoning? There is also hot sauce on the table which adds the perfect zing to the chowder. The people who run the place are friendly and the place is especially popular on weekends. I'd recommend coming midweek either before or after peak lunch hours. Highly recommend.

Come to Tallahassee, Florida! I always get so sad when i have to leave california to go to school in florida because i won't be able to get a fountain of youth whenever i want! the yummy strawberries and bananas mixes perfectly with the açaí to create a refreshing shake! i love the aesthetics of the store and overall environment that point dume has it's unlike any other sunlife! i especially love when the employees suggest me to try new things because they are always amazing! i have to give it to an employee named reya for her awesome service! she was the one who suggested i get a fountain of youth and i have been obsessed ever since! love this establishment and would be overjoyed to see it come to Florida! read more

The Sunlife at The Lakes the worst customer service the two employees were hanging out eating with a girlfriend I waited and waited in an attempt to be noticed as a paying customer! Seriously the worst they acted like I was interrupting their social time really put out. Tried to get help with sweatshirts urgh! They pulled one out of the back that looked like it was drug thu dust and dirt I had to clean it off and then $77.00 for a sweatshirt to advertise their business! Maddy could not be bothered. If it weren't for their bowls I would have walked out! I just LOVE the dragon fruit ball. It's awesome! First the color - so so pink that it looks unreal. Then, the taste - just pure haven. I'm so happy the opened one in Cross creek because i used to drive to the one in point dume - which is a really nice place but a bit of a drive for me. So now I can go to cross creek which is right by my house and enjoy an amazing bowl or smoothie all the time. The place is great and the people who work there are really nice and helpful. Super friendly and professional staff. Always get orders right and do a great job getting everything out as quick as they can with everyone they are serving. If you're in a hurry, they have an app you can use to order before you get there. Oh yeah, and their juices, smoothies, shakes and bowls are insanely fresh and delicious. This place has some awesome products. My favorite drink they offer is the Black Gold Coffee. I think the design inside is really cool too with the hanging glass succulent containers and the big natural looking wooden bench. The only reason I'm not there every day is because I dont have a half hour to kill for a smoothie. If they work out some kinks in their efficiency this place could be great. I really like this location (probably better than Cross Creek). I think the people are nicer and they do a better job with their drinks! I've notice less amount of mistakes made at this store than Cross Creek. I get the Cross Creek is their busiest location, but this location can also get busy and manage to prepare a call in order on time. I was having a bad day when I walked into Sunlife yesterday. I ddint know if my day would get better or worse. When i walked into the store i was greeted by everyone with a huge smile and lots of welcomes. A really nice girl with a beautiful smile took down my order, and asked me if I was ok. Sunlife is the perfect pitstop before or after a day on one of Malibu's amazing beaches. Jude made me a delicious Wolverine (an incredible concoction of coconut, banana, and cacao nibs). Wow! Best smoothie of my life. Thanks Jude and Sunlife! read more

Hit or miss depending on who makes your smoothie When it is made properly, it is well worth the money. When i walk out with a watered down smoothie (half of my visits at least) I seriously question why i spend $16 on a single drink. read more

My suggestion to the business is if you are under staffed and can't get to people in line maybe you should turn off mobile orders like other coffee shops do. They couldn't keep up with in store orders because they kept getting mobile orders. Do yourself a favor and just go to Alfred's friendly staff, less wait and the coffee is amazing.
