    Matcha Latte
    Myles P.

So I went for a solo beach trip to Malibu and got some ocean therapy. Along the way I wanted something to drink so I checked out this place and grabbed a Matcha Latte. The matcha was smooth and tasted great. I added some Sugar free Vanilla syrup to the drink and it gave a sweet kick. The service was good and I liked the ambience of the place.

This is a fun spot to stop in when visiting Malibu, especially if you have a fondness for Baywatch or the 80s. My visit was on a weekday afternoon, and ET was on the tv. The decor incorporates the colors and vibe of the "decade of excess". Stopped for a quick ice cream treat. The coffees looked great, but it was too late in the day for that caffeine hit for me. The young servers were friendly enough, and when I asked the story behind the Baywatch cast on the walls, was told that the owner had a tie. It was a fun spot to visit...and when you finish your treat, Kitson, a couple of doors down, is an equally fun spot to visit!

Stopped by Broad Street Coffee Co. after went to Oyster Company for a lobster roll in Malibu and went for the vanilla soft serve in a cone. The ice cream was smooth, creamy, and had a clean vanilla flavor that wasn't overly sweet. The cone was crisp and held up without getting soggy. It hit the spot on a warm day and paired nicely with the relaxed vibe of the café. The place has a laid back atmosphere with outdoor seating that makes it easy to linger for a while. Service was friendly and quick, and the location adds to the overall charm. Simple, classic, and refreshing.

I visited this coffee shop on a Sunday morning before a hike in Malibu and my experience here was pretty good. I ordered the French Toast Latte with oat milk and it was yummy! The french toast flavor was solid and so was the espresso. The service was good and the barista answered all my questions nicely. I also liked the interior, it was cute with all the décor such as the anime clips playing on the small TV. For parking, there's a big and free parking lot shared with other businesses. There's also a public restroom outside somewhere in the parking lot.

The dairy-free soft serve is very oaty and icy, so I'd probably recommend going with the normal soft serve even if the flavors don't speak to you as much. The coffee and affogato both look great so I wish we'd made it here earlier in the day! Very cute interior in a fun area.

You may recognize the Broad Street name if you are a foodie in LA. Yep, they are the same company who brought you the Oysters and now they have a coffee shop in Malibu a few doors down. They not only have coffee, but pastries as every good coffee shop should but also ice cream! Soft serve is one of the things that makes Broad Street Coffee Co in Malibu special! That and the Malibu Baywatch Icon Posters - Pamela Anderson is an icon! Nice person working who quickly handled our drink orders as the shop started to get full. The cold brew was solid and we liked the tea, as well. They have some seats inside and a few seats outside for chilling & hanging. Aside from the Baywatch posters, the inside of Broad Street had other old school vibes I was loving the pop culture Austin Powers, Jim carrey, Pretty Woman, Pokemon VHS tapes - there's cool stuff inside the shop! Really cute and colorful shop that I will absolutely be back to because of the welcoming vibes & tons of parking.

Matcha color and quality are perfect, I got whole milk and it still wasn't milky! The cold brew is great, not acidic!

Nestled just off PCH, Broad Street Coffee Co. is a charming spot from the same owners behind Huntington Beach's Broad Street Oyster Co., serving fantastic coffee, ice cream, and light bites. The interior offers plenty of seating and features a fun vintage-retro vibe, complete with VHS tapes and old-school trinkets that spark a wave of nostalgia. The staff is friendly, the drinks are genuinely great, and we highly recommend the iced French toast latte.

Fun, hip vibes at Broad Street Coffee with perfectly prepared oat milk flat whites amidst colorful signage, tables, and menu. Even got a lovely free sticker with that eccentric 90s neon vibe. The barista was friendly. I'd say it's definitely worth stopping for a coffee here. Plus, it's locally owned.

Coffee and tea were delicious! The service was quick and easy and the ambiance is Baywatch themed.

both drinks were great (vanilla and french toast) but definitely very sweet, recommend getting 1/2 sweet

    Matcha latte

Don't get the matcha, so milky and low quality. If you're a fan of real matcha I would not recommend. French toast latte was good though! Service was good, cute and clean inside too

My husband and I each got a flat white. My husband's was fine but mine was over steamed, causing it to taste burnt.

Barista was friendly. The seating was limited but the coffee shop was clean. My husband and I each got a a flat white. My husband's turned out fine but my drink was steamed too long. Causing it to taste burnt.

The view of the ocean is nice, the breeze is cooling, and there's no yucky fishy smell you might think you'd smell at the pier. Service: the servers were great, but the girl who checked us in wasn't very friendly. My boyfriend and I got there and she told us to wait for a table to open up then she would seat us; however, we looked and saw multiple tables open and she even sat another party who came after us. We had to ask another server if we could be seated and they seated us shortly after. Vibes: you sit pretty close to other parties and there are a lot of tables in the area. Volume level is fairly loud because of all the people, but it's not an overwhelming loud. Gets busy around brunch/lunch time. On the cuff of being a nicer place to eat in terms of vibes, but because it is near the beach it does feel more chill. Food: I had the build your own fish taco and the Swedish mini pancakes. For the price that I paid, neither was worth it. The fish was kind of dry and flavorless and the best thing about that dish were the veggies. The mini pancakes got mushy quick, so these definitely should be eaten sooner rather than later. The syrup and fruits atop the pancakes were extremely sweet and the dish overall left my stomach feeling heavy. Unfortunately this place is an overpriced tourist trap.

While my wife was in the restroom, he began yelling at her through the bathroom door. She repeatedly told him she was in the restroom and asked for a moment of privacy, yet he continued to berate her instead of simply leaving her alone. When I stepped in and said, "She's in the restroom, please give her some privacy," he immediately turned his attention toward me, raised his voice, and continued escalating the confrontation. Rather than de-escalating the situation--as any competent manager should--he became increasingly aggressive and even threatened to call the police. At no point did this manager attempt to resolve the situation professionally. Instead, he repeatedly yelled at us, behaved in an intimidating manner, and turned what should have been a simple interaction into an extremely hostile experience. This was, without question, the worst experience I've ever had at a Café Lux location. No customer should ever be verbally confronted, harassed, or intimidated by a manager, especially when one of them is simply trying to use the restroom. Because of this incident, I will never spend another dollar at Café Luxxe. Management should take this complaint seriously and thoroughly investigate the conduct of the manager on duty.

This week we hit our limit, and are thinking of canceling our membership. The waiters act as though you should be serving them and it usually takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes for someone to arrive at your table. Meals are drawn out due to the lack of service. The front desk hostess' could not be more unpleasant, dismissive, and rude. Also, the food is simply OK, nothing special, and priced exceptionally high for what it is. In terms of ambiance, the furniture is stained, mildewy, and terribly kept. The large dining room remains empty throughout the day since they don't allow computers, and everyone is crammed into a small area where "computers are allowed". Also the employees take up one of the best (more private) tables in the house with their computers and coffee (stunned by this). I spoke to a once prominent member who also canceled his membership for these same reasons. It's truly so sad to see a place with such potential, lack such basic needs.
