Since my last stop here it has changed ownership so I decided to stop in. I had originally found Sunny Brew back when it was just a small shop inside the collective I believe. So when I was eating lunch nearby this location I had to stop in. It's decorated nice and cozy. Service was awesome and I ordered a matcha latte. With cold foam. My first time in and I'm impressed. I stopped in because I had seen this place on Yelp. I'd driven by it so many times and didn't even notice it. I wanted to try the fruit bowl after seeing it on the menu but found out the kitchen closes at noon so go in early if you want anything from the kitchen. The service was A+, friendly and helpful. I came in with my two boys to enjoy coffee and a meal, and while the food and coffee were fine, the service left a bad impression. When I asked about the stamp card I've always used, I was told they switched to a rewards system but couldn't give me credit for my purchase. I politely asked for another stamp card so I could combine it with my others and the barista seemed annoyed but finally stamped one for me. Then, while I was sitting at the counter eating with my kids, an employee/manager came over to take a photo and asked me to move mid-meal. I was caught off guard -- it felt rude and inconsiderate to ask a paying customer with children to get up just so they could take a picture so I wasn't photo bombing it she said. I really wanted to like this place, but experiences like this make it hard to want to come back. A little kindness and awareness would go a long way. read more

Stopped here before early holiday celebrations with my husbands side of the family since it was nearby and I had been wanting to try! I ordered for us though the website and when I arrived less than 10 min later it was ready! Pickup is super easy, they put them out so you don't have to still wait in line. My husband got a caramel latte, hot with extra espresso. I decided I needed a little break from coffee so I got a mango green tea! It was refreshing but maybe a little too fake mango-y for me. I've read previous reviews where some "People of Color" felt they were unwelcome at this establishment and I can honestly say THAT is a load of crap. My wife and I (she's also person of color) are always welcomed here... NO issues and have never had any. You'll see plenty of people of color stop by over a couple of hours... same thing... People of Color: This business presents itself as a values-based establishment--selling products that affirm Republican beliefs--which I've respected, as I believe people should be able to hold differing political opinions. However, I drew the line when I was peacefully drinking coffee and overheard a conversation between the owner and a customer discussing the business strategy. The customer said, "Don't give up--don't white flight," and the owner enthusiastically celebrated the comment with a forceful, "Awww, thank you!" I directly asked the owner if she heard the "white flight" remark, as that phrase essentially affirms the idea that I--and people of color like me--don't belong there, and that others do. She denied hearing it. Whether that's true or not, I would strongly caution people of color against visiting this location, as she offered no acknowledgment or reassurance that countered the harmful comment. A simple statement like, "I'm sorry that happened, and I want you to know you're welcome here," would have gone a long way. At best, this business sells merchandise that promotes a political ideology and tolerates harmful, racially charged remarks from customers; at worst, the owner's reaction suggests she affirms them. I left in tears. The world can already be hard enough--and I was deeply disappointed, not only by the customer's words but also by the owner's response. I felt embarrassed for having brought my son into an environment that caused us harm, and I've since decided I will not return. I hope this message reaches both the owner and the customer as a reminder that people can coexist--even across political lines--and that everyone deserves the simple dignity of enjoying a cup of coffee without a side of hate. read more

My friend and I have made it a weekly ritual after our 4 mile hike on the discovery Trail to come here for a great cup of coffee. I love the vanilla lavender latte, and we both love the avocado toast. The avocado toast is very generous with its bacon, avocado, and egg. NW Coffee is cute & quaint. I ordered the prickly pear lemonade (I highly recommend) & bacon egg sandwich. The sandwich was okay. I like how crispy and hot it was, but I wouldn't order it again. However, I'd definitely order the prickly pear lemonade again. I wish I ordered a large. Free wifi is provided. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. My husband and I have stopped in a few times since finding this place and have enjoyed the coffee and teas however, the last two times we've come... We've been pretty displeased with the attitude of one of the baristas. Twice now we've seen her roll her eyes at either a request of ours or of our coffee. Really happy I found this place! Located in a very nice area of Vistancia, NW is also owned by the same person/group that owns Cantina Gueros and Haymaker. And boy do I LOVE both! I came in around 3-4 in the afternoon and barley anyone was inside which was really nice. They were playing some up to date but still soft music which really set the nice, coffee atmosphere. I ordered a medium prickly pear lemonade since I thought it may be too late in the day for me to get coffee and the girl had it out super quick. I decided to sit down which I never do at coffee shops since I had some work and personal emails I had to respond back to. The seating area is very nice and comfortable. I took a sip of my lemonade and it was so good, it wasn't the artificial prickly pear syrup that most people use... it was very fruity and pleasurable. I am definitely coming back here in the future!
