The young woman behind the counter didn't ask if I wanted a lid (as I'm always asked), and instead overfilled the cup. When I politely said I wanted a lid, she scraped off the top like it was garbage. That may seem small to some, but presentation matters. I'm not an animal, and I don't expect to be served like one. When I pointed out that this wasn't how it should be done, she snapped back with, "Well how do you think I'm going to close it?"--then followed up with, "If you don't like it, come back here and make it yourself." Excuse me? That's not just rude, it's hostile. I asked the other employee to make a new one, and the same young woman kept up the nasty attitude, saying "I don't care, it's not mine either." The second employee did apologize, and I appreciated that. But when I said I'd be calling the owner, I was told he's on vacation. Is that why the staff feels free to treat customers with such disrespect? Zack's used to be a place where service matched the sweetness of the yogurt. Now, it feels like the values that built this business have melted away. I sincerely hope the owner reads this and takes action--because this kind of behavior is unacceptable, and longtime customers like me deserve better.
