I was looking to purchase a 2023 Thor Four Winds 25M. On July 12, 2025, I noticed several areas of the roof bubbling. Chris, the General Manager, said that was normal but wouldn't get on the roof to look at it. The Thor representative that Chris called, who had not looked at it, said it was normal. The Dicor representative that manufactures this Crossflex roof said it is defective and the warranty is void. I sent DICOR a video of one of the areas that was bubbling. Both Chris and the Thor rep LIED to me to try to make this sale. BEWARE OF THIS PARTICULAR RV, 2023 THOR FOUR WINDS 25M. THE ROOF WARRANTY IS VOID. And, I would not purchase anything from this dealership. It is very apparent that they do NOT have the customer's interest in mind. They were very willing to let me make close to a 100k investment in this RV knowing full well that the roof was defective. RUN!!! read more

We had been looking to upgrade and after searching more RV dealers than we can count we agreed that the one unit we both fell in love with was at Sunny Island RV. We had been free to walk around and look at units on our own with no pressure and a few days later we were back there to make the purchase. We spent days on the phone with salesman Mike and arranged to see a travel trailer a little after noon on Friday. We drove 1 1/2 hours, got there on time only to find Mike gone for lunch, having completely forgotten about us. They were able to bring him back. Despite the sign on the door about everyone needing to wear a mask, he and another salesman did not. Other staff did. When we asked why the customers were wearing masks and the salesmen weren't we got a snide response. Mike did not remember any of our discussions and could not find the unit we had just talked about hours earlier. Another salesman was able to find it, telling us it was new when we smelled cigarette smoke and saw a burn on the seat. He then said he didn't know and would have to check it out. Seemed strange that neither guys knew the inventory since they did not have many units on the lot. We've been to several Chicago-area dealers looking for a trailer and never were treated this badly. read more

I am traveling cross country with the family and a part had rattled off of our fifth wheel. we saw the advertisement on the side of the highway so we called to ask if they had the part. we stopped there and they immediately started looking at it for us. we found the part on the shelf, but it needed to be modified slightly to fit. They took it into the shop to make it work and got me on the road. Great service! read more

He just said "No. we don't have that." Wait. What? Aren't you a salesman? How about "We don't have exactly what you described but let me show you something similar." I was about an hour away from Rockford, IL on a cross country trip and needed to replace two roof vents on my Coachman Leprecaun 23 foot RV. One of the vents had completely fallen apart. I called and they said yes they could replace them for me. I showed up one hour later and they were very accomodating and began to work on my vehicle right away. It was a holiday weekend and they were really very service oriented. I'd go back there at anytime. Thank you Sunny Island and the service team for being there for me. After being disappointed that another RV service site couldn't take care of transfer fluid replacement as they said they could, we called Sunny Island RV. They made sure to have the correct fluid, ordered the trailer tires we needed, and did all the service as promised. Plus they repaired some loose door seal and a rattling hitch, no charge. Not the most together place. Traveled a ways to get there and wasted a lot of time waiting for the salesman and another guy to figure out an acceptable offer. Wasn't impressed with any of their campers but hey at least they aren't Camping World or Gander Mountain where you routinely get charged to restock campers, transporting the camper, batteries for the camper, inspection fees, etc.... Not impressed that only one worker had a mask on. We are in the middle of a pandemic!!! read more

Salesman Mike (B I think) was so welcoming and non-pushy that we will be returning in a couple weeks to buy. We were able to casually look around at numerous units without feeling rushed. By taking our time we not only found the exact unit we wanted but my husband and I came up with an unexpected business plan idea on how we will rent these out and then returned a purchase different units for personal use. When he sat down with Mike he described him as someone you would want to take a vacation with and somebody that obviously enjoys camping he was not pushy or rude there is no pressure and my husband left feeling excited. It wasn't really until we checked out a local place to where we live (General RV) and had such a horrible experience where they would not even show us any units without running our credit prior (hell no, that docks our score!) that it opened our eyes to the obvious at where we should be buying. I honestly don't know how to review this. Dealt with Keith Miner, I truly believe he never read any of our correspondence or wrote anything down. Case in point: originally stopped to look at a class B RV. Informed him that I was looking in the 30K to 40K range. He calls me (oddly enough while I was at the Rockford RV show) and says they just took in a class B and are listing it for 52K, not even in the ball park of our price range. Case 2: spoke with a Mike (?) and asked if I could deal with him on a 2005 B+ since I wasn't get the warm feeling from Keith. Was assured that I would hear from Mike. Guess who contacted regarding the 2005, yep, Keith Miner. I'm not sure if anyone listens to what a customer has to say. This is just 2 examples over about a 3 week period (yes there's more). I won't go on their lot, it was crazy, and not in a good way. read more

Keith is the RUDEST crude moron I have EVER encountered anywhere. He hung up on me three times when I asked for the sales manager. These people sit on their butts and don't come out to help people who are looking at vehicles on their lot. Why this horrible "sales" person with the worst customer service skills has a job is beyond me or anyone! He hurts this company greatly. read more

Bought a used motorhome in September. They said we could get it in a week as they needed to check it over first. Called Friday to make sure it would be ready. Was told they had to replace jacks and it would be 4 weeks. Ok, wait sucks, but working jacks is nice. Called at the end of October, was told they just got the jacks but they weren't installed. Called a week later, they had the wrong jacks for the back and had to reorder. Finally got it the week before thanksgiving. Paid via check as they said there was a fee to use the credit card. Asked for the title on Saturday when I paid/picked it up. They said it would be overnighted on Monday. Called a week later, no title. Was told by the manager they wouldn't send it for 10 business days to wait for the check to clear. Checked online banking, the check cleared on Tuesday. This is the first I heard about a 10 day wait! The lack of communication (I had to call them to get any updates) and rudeness of the manager when I called about the title are unacceptable. Not to mention there are several electrical issues when we tried to use the camper, even though it was supposedly checked, in working order, and no problems were reported to us. read more
