My husband and I purchased a pop-up camper (Aliner Expedition) from Vacationland RV last week and were very pleased with the overall educational and purchase experience. Joel showed us the workings of the camper, and Mike was awesome with providing us with the full tutorial. He also made sure our new SUV was properly hooked up to the camper and recommended the Curt Echo Controller (Bluetooth) to assist in braking, for which we were very thankful. The store inside offered all the RV accessories and gadgets one would need for camping, and their offerings of fun (dog-oriented!) tees, etc. was a total plus. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone looking to invest in an RV!

I purchased my travel trailer at vacationland today. I visited other dealers around the area, and these people are by far the nicest, friendliest, down to earth people I've encountered throughout my search. The sales staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The service staff are the same, and a joy to be around. The pricing is beyond competitive. I would be stupid to buy anywhere else! Their accessories were also priced to sell! I compared priced to amazon, and figured, why wait for Amazon when it's priced almost exactly the same here, and I can just take it home now! Thank you again for all your help in selecting my new travel trailer! I can't wait to see you again!

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Jayco and Rick's RV…read more I bought my Jayco camper brand new just a year ago, and it has now been sitting in Rick's RV's service department for over a month for warranty repairs I was told would take two weeks. During this entire time, I have received zero updates unless I call them myself. Meanwhile, I am still making payments on this camper and paying for storage I can't even use because my camper is stuck in their shop. This has completely ruined my family's summer camping plans, and it is beyond frustrating that a brand-new camper should need to be in service for over a month without clear updates. To make matters worse, Rick's RV told me I could come pick up the camper without a working stove (which is under warranty) so I could use it. How ridiculous is it to pay $27,000 for a camper only to be told I can take it without a fully functioning kitchen because Jayco and Rick's RV can't figure out whether to replace the stove? The lack of transparency, accountability, and customer service from both Jayco and Rick's RV is outrageous and should be a serious warning to anyone thinking about buying from either company. They have my money, but I don't have the working camper I paid for, and they don't seem to care how this impacts their customers. If you are considering purchasing a Jayco or working with Rick's RV, think twice. Their customer service ends the moment they get your money, and you will be stuck chasing them for updates while your plans and wallet suffer. I am posting this publicly because I want others to know exactly what kind of service they can expect.

Here were the top annoyances: Air Conditioning - Broke completely in the middle of our July trip, the mechanic said it was quite old and missing some screws. It wasn't possible to fix on the road, so we had no AC for 4 days. Sensors - Many of the key sensors were inaccurate. Ex: black tank level, water level. This proved very challenging for first time RVers like us, who didn't have a feel for how often to empty or refill tanks. Door - The screen door was missing a piece of plastic, which created a hole for bugs to come in and the door itself required a VERY hard closure to latch. My kids could rarely do it themselves. Awning - Not functional; directions in troubleshooting book didn't match type of awning on our RV. Generator - Shut off inexplicably a few times. Mattress - VERY old and worn. Electrical panel - Literally kept closed with duct tape and wouldn't stay closed. Easy to accidentally turn things off. Privacy curtain - Held back with duct tape. Easily knocked open.

In about 10 minutes he had tried to sell about an extra $2500.00 in accessories which we politely declined. We have friends who had been campers for awhile and showed us where to buy the things that Camping World staff wanted and told us we needed. We purchased the same items some of which were the same manufacturer for about 1/3 of Camping Worlds price. And now we recently paid off the camper and Camping World has repeatedly dragged their feet on returning phone calls regarding GAP insurance cancelation. Then said we wanted to cancel the service contract also. My wife was able to prove otherwise and now are backstepping to correct things. Before you buy I suggest you watch the many youtube videos about Camping World sales tactics. One of the best is put out by Cheyenne Camping Center. By the way, we bought from Cheyenne in Walcott Iowa after walking out of a Camping World. I'm so glad we did. We saved thousands. Cheyenne is located right across from IOWA 80 the World's largest truck stop. It's a great place to visit, to rest, to shop and to dine. If you go to Cheyenne to look at RVs, be sure to ask for Kurt Schreiner. Also Cheyenne puts out a great RV orientation youtube video by Dave, one of their many top notch service people
